I think they do everything pretty well over at Park Vista Retirement. The only complaint I have about the place is that there accounting system and the people who take care of the financial stuff are not top-notch.

Oswego Place Assisted Living Community is really very nice. All of the staff are excellent. The activities director is trying but she is a little too quiet and needs to have more fun. The last place dad was in was the same price and wasn't near as nice. It is pricey no matter what though. It's a little ridiculous. The staff are trying very hard and my dad is not an easy person to deal with. This facility have a lot of activities but dad complains about being bored. He just wants to talk to people but not participate. My one complaint about this facility is that it takes a long time for the dining staff to get your order and it takes a long time for the food to come. I am not sure if they don't have enough staff or what. The food I've had there is good it just takes too long. I think they could really hit a home run at this facility if they worked out a few kinks.

I think they could improve the food. I know it is kind of hard to do when you have 70 or 80 other people, but it's not very exciting; probably bland and not enough variety. It seems to be the same kind of stuff all the time. Otherwise everything seems pretty standard.

One of my parents has been living here for a short time. The staff has been great, they seem very caring. The building is beautiful inside and out and there are lots of activities for those that chose to participate. The only downfall, and its a big one, is the food. It is not good. My parent wants to move, because he can not stand the food. So if you have a picky eater, make sure you have them check out the food before they move in!

We toured this community while looking into senior living options for a loved one. I toured quite a few in the area and Gibson Creek was one of the ones I really liked. The staff here seemed very friendly and kind to the residents, and I liked that the community was all on one floor. However, the rooms were just too small for Mom's taste, she wouldn't have been comfortable.

My mother is staying at Bonaventure of Lacey Senior Living and they have been very good. They have a lot of really good activities. Their housekeeping does a really good job. All the people there are extremely friendly. One area for improvement though is that they change directors all the time and it creates some churn. They also need to invest some money in better food quality and kitchen staff. The food there is not terrible, but it certainly could be better.

My mom moved into Park Vista almost 2 weeks ago and we have found the staff to be wonderful. They are friendly, and seem to be sincerely interested in making this enormous adjustment in life style as easy as possible. They have gone out of their way to be obliging to her needs and wants. The only thing that Mom has complained about is that the food is not that good. This too may be a matter of adjustment, but improvement could be made in this area.

I am very pleased with Spring Creek. They are very good at accommodating the families and helping with the process. The food was really good in the beginning, I don't know what changed, but lately she is not happy with the food.

Overall I think they do a good job at Oswego Place. The facility itself is nice looking and clean, the rooms are attractive and comfortable, and the price is comparable to other options in the area. I think that the care staff here is wonderful, they're all very friendly and professional. I do wish that they had the nurse booked for more hours during the week, she does a fantastic job. They went through a bit of a rough patch when there was a big turnover in their administrative staff, but things seem to be settling down. I do think the administrative changes could have been communicated better to the residents and their families, however.

My father was at Gibson Creek until his recent passing. The on-site administration and staff were nothing short of fantastic. Dad had no desire to go to assisted living, but he was welcomed and cared for by that staff in amazing ways, and adjusted to the move within a week. The staff was friendly, caring, and went above and beyond the call in every instance. Both the staff and other residents were genuinely happy, friendly and welcoming. I have seen other reviews on here about the corporate administration. I would give corporate 1 star. The facility was clearly understaffed. But, the staff was so good my dad never noticed. But, I would give the on-site folks 5 stars. They were amazing.

This was a beautiful community with all the bells and whistles- many activities and services available. My concern about this was since it is so large a community how long of wait times would there be for my Dad to get the assistance needed for getting up and dressed and help using the restroom etc..

I don't think there are any concerns right now. Things are working out very well right now. They are clean and staff is friendly. Really right now it's just getting used to everything, and getting her on board with all of the changes.

We liked how clean the home was and how nice the folks were. the only issue is there are a lot of people and we are trying to determine if this is the right fit.

Good location for family and medical care. Excellent response and followup on communication. Good activities scheduling and clean community grounds. We've had favorable recommendations from families of earlier residents.

My experience with Spring Creek Retirement and Assisted Living has been good. They made the move in process very easy. They were very accommodating with our schedule. It's been a good experience for my mom.

So far things seem to be going well at Oswego Place. It has been a tough adjustment for her, but she says everyone at the community has been very friendly so far. The staff are all very caring and professional, and they were a big help during the move-in process. They've also been very accommodating making adjustments to our loved one's care to make sure we find what works best for her. If there's one thing they could improve on I'd say that the food could have more effort put into it.

They seem to have a bit of a turnover, I think they do a pretty good job of hiring, but they aren't really good at retention, I don't think they pay very well. My loved one doesn't really participate in the activities so I would decline to rate that. We have had missing clothing in the laundry. The food isn't bad, I think it's outstanding, but they need to work on their serving temperatures. The male nurse on staff was impressive to me. He was both interested and capable, and he must put in 60 hours a week.

Some of the staff is good and some is not so good. Compared to Canada it’s a pretty good value. For my family it’s a good community. We would highly recommend it. It’s clean and the care services are really good.

When we arrived, the room was not cleaned. It was ready, but it just wasn't clean. Overall though, the facility was kept very clean. As for activities, I'm not sure, but I know that they did have them. The food, I would rate as a 4. I would recommend that they serve larger portions of the fruit. Other than that, the experience was very nice, and they were responsive to our needs.

We like Bonaventure at Lacy and would recommend it to others. The questions suggested by A Place for Mom to answer while looking at all places were helpful. However, I would recommend a second set of questions to ask when the family is at the place of signing the lease. What can Mom and family expect the first, second, third week of living there? How will Mom be integrated into life at the facility? Who do we go to for answers to our questions? Mom is not able to remember all that she has done or who she did it with. The Home Doctor should have a list of insurance companies they accept rather than having to apply and having to wait to see if Mom would be accepted by the Doctor.
