Needs a face lift

If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone somewhere else. I love my friends here, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Bottom line is they treat us like we "owe" them, and trust me they are squeezing us at every turn. Food had gotten cheaper, (like sloppy joes) really? this is the dinner special? Rent for me and my friends go up a lot faster then they had told us at signing -- you start off with a decent price but then year after year it goes up exponentially. We need a new games director, this guy needs to either take a class, step it up or step out. They keep signing up new people that should not be in independent living and it affects the rest of us. I find myself sad more often than I am happy these days and my neighbors feel like I do -- it seems like they keep taking things away -- I have had enough taken away in my life can they just try to be nice?

Needs Improvement -- start with management

The place, aesthetically, is very nice == but the people that used to make this place a caring place have just about all left and from the Director to the "activities" person are awful == they really do not care about the residents and take advantage of them, things are [Removed] and the Director never reports them to the police or takes any action. Everything has cheapened, the food is all frozen (never fresh) and cheap things -- hamburgers, hot dogs -- the steaks are off the menu -- for what we pay it is a [Removed]. We have taken our grievances to management and they do nothing -- the point is .. they just do not care, they have our money and they just brush everything off ... let us enjoy our final phase of our life, this place is stressful

This is one of the smallest places we visited. Neat and clean but there was an odor to the place. While the apartments had been renovated, I felt like I was in a basement, even when on the second floor. All the common areas are very small.

Food service has been a problem. Nutrition is not addressed very well, the kitchen was torn down for 6 weeks for floor and pipe upgrades. Now we are confined to our rooms and dining room is closed due to coronavirus scare. So again only two choices are available at each meal, instead of the full menu.

breach of contract

Pea brain staff that could care less about the residents. [name removed] is the worst she almost mocks us. From the front office of the least caring (the big boss) to the dining room manager that refuses to open a can of veggies for our salads for over 3K a month, open a 50 cent can of veggies or let us have cheese on our salads. It stinks. No one cares here -- and it can all be summed up to the fact that the big boss does not care she just keeps raising rent and taking away privledges, snacks and what I call happy time. We need a class action suit for breach of contract

Disappointing

Disappointing. We moved in 2 years ago and what a difference a couple of years makes -- it has gotten more and more disappointing -- rent goes up and everything else goes down and the worst part is no one listens to the residents. The management acts like we owe them and we are the ones paying. I want to move and I know several of my friends here feel the same way and when management learns you are unhappy watch out for retribution -- the food is crappy, the restaurant \manager\" acts like a [Removed] == and I think it is getting beyond repair. Even though we have meetings etc, nothing is ever done, there is no compromise, no solution finding it is their way or the highway -- find another place

Being Real

I think it is awful how when you go to all seasons \testimonials\" page they never tell you the bad stuff -- like the food is bad or that the staff acts like they are doing us a favor when we pay good money to be here -- I am so depressed in the past year in a half that we have different people running this place then we did when I first moved in. [removed] was awesome in the dining room now we have [removed] that thinks she is a drill sergeant --she is just obnoxious. The old director was good too now with [removed] everything is cheapened and the staff follows how the boss is and that boss just doesn't care about us. I want to see these sites will actually post a negative review

Skip it it is a scam

Make your parents unhappy...go to all seasons of Rochester hills, Mi. This is a scam outfit and place for mom is not helping They rip you off in service, care, and food. The meals are horrible, just try it yourself before you take your parents there. Plus, there is little nutritional value in the meals. One of the most important things for seniors next to safety. The sales girl, [name removed], tells me kids "drop of their parents kicking and screaming but they eventually like it here." Who says that? Does that really happen? What kind of sales person is that? Do you really think that helped me with my parent, my dad was scared. The staff needs to wash their hair. It is aweful smelling-- and he is handling food and drinks at happy hour, I went once to see what was happening. I need to get my dad out but they have you locked in a contract for 13 months -- funny how [name removed] does not tell you the "fine details" The front desk women at night, [name removed] has zero personality. When we were moving in, she could not answer any of our questions.

POOR

My mother lives in Casa Del Rio. She loves the apartment, however the services are poor. The food is poor, lunchtime is always a sandwich, and they serve the same vegetables everyday. A poor select of food. Activities are scarce. The maintenance men only know how to change a light bulb. Anything else she is suppose to hire someone to do it. They really need to get on board, these people are on a fixed income, and they live there so everything can be done for them.

RUN - do not place a loved one here

Zero in all categories. The experience was the worst of my life. We felt threatened, unsafe and ignored. Understaffed. Virtually no administrative personnel at site. Lock on apartment door didn't work. Housekeeping and other staff just walked in at any time. Even walked into our bedroom without notice (had sign on bedroom door saying keep out, we are sleeping). Constant fear of anyone coming into the apartment. On 2 accounts we needed assistance and rang the emergency button and the emergency pull in the bathroom. It was around 11:00pm and took 30 minutes before anyone showed up. She didn't know how to help so I told her to call someone else. That woman showed up 20 minutes later and she had no idea how to help. The washer machine was covered with 2 inches of black mold. Any time we mentioned these things we were told to file a complaint at the front desk. Which amounted to no action. They also continued to bill us for a month that we weren't there. Send a lame invoice that was too bogus to figure out.

Disappointed in maintenance

We continue to be disappointed with this facility. Poor maintenance of the automatic doors often prevent residents from easily entering or leaving the buildings. Also, there is only one elevator in each building so when it isn't working, residents with poor mobility capabilities who live on the upper floors are forced to use the stairs. Casa Del Rio could do a lot better in providing a safe and well maintained facility.
