There's NO place for the non-memory care residents to walk outside except for a sidewalk between front of building and parking lot.... The lower level garden area is reserved for memory care residents only!! --- Renovations inside are nice but appearance isn't everything..... Front desk not always staffed so residents can't go outside or get back in ..... Mom has dementia only needing help with shower, meds and escort to meals and church (the ONLY activity she craves). When we first visited I shared how important church is to mom and was told they had Christian services. We learned it's only 1x a month and they make NO effort to get mom there.... I have witnessed 4 occasions when no one came to escort mom to eat.... I found an enormous bruise on mom's leg (she didn't know where it came from... how could they miss it if they assist her with showers?) and rang the "assistance needed" bell. I waited 45 minutes before anyone came!!! ... last visit her heart monitor is unplugged

The experience has been just okay, if we had to do it again we probably would not choose this community. Just like other places they are struggling with loosing staff and hiring staff. They do have travel nurses as aids right now and some are great and others not at all - it just depends on who you have for the day. The new director there is working on turning things around and the head nurse does the absolute best she can. The saving grace for us would be the therapy services on site. The therapist go way above and beyond their daily responsibilities. The are constantly checking in on our loved one and keeping good communication with our family. They help clean up his apartment and even help return packages. We do like how the memory care is separate from the assisted living folks - our loved one was in a previous community where they were together and it made our loved one very anxious and overwhelmed.

Our family had an in person tour and the person giving the tour was great, but the community just had a smaller feel to it. The rooms were much smaller, and we do know every place is struggling with staffing, but it just seemed more apparent here then at the other communities we toured.
This community was not as clean as another community that I was looking at. Just not really the environment that I was looking for for my loved one. The tour guide was very nice and professional it was more just the building was run down.

Our family had an in person tour and it had similar amenities to another top choice but a little more expensive. The community itself was fine but we just did not get that overwhelming feeling that this was the place for our loved one.

This facility used to be an apartment building. When we walked in nothing really stuck out to us, it was in the midst of covid and we did not really see anybody. The gal who gave us the tour was nice, informative, and she did follow up a few times.

I had an overall good impression after my tour at Broadmoor Court, although I recognize that they all have their best foot forward on the tours. It seemed pretty much average, generally about the same as the other places that I looked at. What sold me on another place that we ended up choosing was the rapport with the salesperson, just an intangible feeling that my loved one would be well looked after.

Our loved one absolutely loves this community, she loves everyone there and everyone loves her. However, we are quite frustrated, what they say in the beginning is not the case, nothing ever happens. Our loved one is supposed to get three showers a week, with a little assistance and that does not happen. There are no activities, they did not help us out in the beginning filling out our loved ones meal schedule, we had no idea what to do. There is just a lack of communication. Our loved one is diabetic and they are not paying attention to their dietary restrictions, but now things are getting a little more under control.

We moved in right at the height of coronavirus lockdowns. We weren't allowed inside to visit and only got to see our loved one through the glass. So there's a lot I don't know about what was going on. They did call a few times to let me know my loved one had fallen, but it was always a day or two later. I'm not sure why they would call after the fact and not right when it happened. The last call I received from them was when they took her to the hospital because she had stopped eating and drinking. The hospital found she had a broken hip, which I feel was likely due to one of her falls that Autumn View Gardens didn't do anything about. At that point, we took her home to enter hospice care. I would not recommend Autumn View Gardens. I went back to get a few of her things, one of which was a huge digital clock that gave her the day, the week, the month at a glance, because she couldn't keep her days straight. When I arrived to pick up her things, her door was unlocked, and the clock was missing. It was the only expensive thing she had there. I was not very happy with them at all.

It is been good until COVID hit and now I can't in and her doctor can't get in. My loved one needs healthcare which is a real concern right now. The food is terrible. The caregivers are great, friendly, very sweet, and my likes them. We chose this community because is was smaller,my mom liked the room, total cost was all inclusive price, and proximity to my house.

The facility was clean but was showing its age. There was marked evidence of their efforts to keep up the facility, however, normal aging of the facility was apparent. The staff was friendly, however, the only one that we had any real interaction with was the Marketing Director. All of the others seem to be occupied with other activities even though we could see them from where we were waiting at to have our discussion with. I was disappointed in the open location that our interview was conducted in. It was the only location that we were not taken to an office to provide and obtain our information. You are required to use their medical staff to obtain and dispense medication. There is a doctor that they use however, you can maintain your own medical team. The facility is open access until they secure it at night, generally around 9 PM. They do not accept VA but they do accept Medicaid and you can obtain a suite while you wait for the Medicaid approval as long as you pay the full costs until the approval, estimated to be 3 to 6 months. The Medicaid suites are all on the first floor and semi-private. The private payed suites are all on the second floor and private suites are available. We were told that they maintain a full occupancy an they only infrequently have opening. They do not have studio suites.

Faith based mission — if that is important to a loved one, consider this one. Older, common areas are being renovated in the Spring - ratings might increase after that. Bathrooms are not as good as other places we toured (showers don’t have fixed seat, higher lip to get into). Great for Catholics - church is across the street.

Rooms did not have a living room area, and no full kitchen. Nice people, but not a good fit for my parents. Bathrooms are being remodeled and were the best bathrooms I saw of all the facilities.

The staff is very nice and friendly here. The facility is located right off of Thunderbird and it’s a busy street with a lot of shopping centers. The food is really good here and it’s more of restaurant style dining. However, there are not as many activities going on like I hoped there would be. They are so close to downtown that I thought the facility would bring them to Glendale Glitters to see all of the Christmas lights. Also, there is no separation between dementia residents and assisted living.

When we first pulled up to the facility, we immediately ruled it out for my Father. My sister said that it was not an acceptable place to bring him. The grounds weren’t top notch at all. There were a lot of parts to the building that really needed paint. It just wasn’t up to par with our standards. The other thing we did not like is that it wasn’t all contained within one building. You actually had to go outside and walk if you wanted to go to activities. My dad isn’t very mobile and trying to get him up and moving, then go outside in 100-degree weather just wasn’t going to happen. I would not recommend this community.
