Benchmark Senior Living

We chose Benchmark Senior Living because of the director and the people at the facility, they all seemed very happy. They also have a great reputation and the facility looks nice. The room sizes are adequate. My mother in law thinks that the food post COVID has been horrendous, prior to COVID, she thought it was just ok. The food isn't really fresh and there is not a lot of variety. My favorite part about this community would be how close it is to us and that she is happy and well cared for. I would recommend to a friend or family member.

The community was clean. The dinning room didn't use table cloths. They always made sure to greet the residents by and make them feel at home. They had good activities. We thought Benchmark was a good value.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the community replaced all the couches in the common area with leather instead of cloth because it is easier to clean. They have also been very responsive to families, updating us on what is going on within the community. The staff has done a nice job with engaging my father in the wide array of activities they are offering. They have previously brought in outside entertainment, had family involved events for holidays, and more. My father loves the food here, specifically the soup.

The community was clean. No matter what their job was, the staff would go out of their way to help out. And if they couldn't they would refer me to someone who could. My mother had private aids as well as the community's aids and they had some trouble with coordinating her care together. It took some time to work through the initial challenges surrounding this. The activities staff were terrific. They did a really good job with encouraging my mother to participate, which really improved the quality of her life. My mother also really liked the food and when we would dine with her, we thought the same.

The community is often clean. The staff is great and my mother loves them all. They go out of their way to be nice to everyone and acknowledge everyone and they do a good job planning fun activities for the residents. The services at the community, like food and activities, are good. They don't have enough hours for transportation, and the buses tend to break down. They also seem to have trouble finding drivers as well.

The cleanliness of the community seems to be a priority for them and they have done a good job with the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff seems very conscientious with the residents and their families and have been open for questions. They have been great. The only issue with the care services is that it is hard when my grandmother moves to a higher care level and then the price jumps, which can be difficult when she is on fixed funding. Other than that, everything surrounding her care is great.

The place is immaculate, they are also always cleaning. Aside from the normal day to day cleaning, they contract an outside organization to come in once a month and do a deep clean. My father's room is also kept up very well. The staff's communication with us and our father is terrible. We would probably give them a five here if they were better with that. The staff aside from that are friendly and they are very good with the residents. The food here is excellent and the activities, pre-Covid-19, were excellent as well. It is very expensive for my father to have a very small apartment and very few services.

The community has been good about begin responsive to my father's concerns. Most of the staff is friendly as well and the care is good. They have been very accommodating with my father's care and have found solutions to make his it better. They do offer activities for the residents, although my father does not often participate.

They seemed to have a lot of hands on deck for cleaning and everything was taken care of the way it should be. The staff was very friendly and engaging. They all knew our first names, which made it feel very much like a family environment. The services like food or nursing assistance were all great as well. The specialty they had here was that they were able to individualize each resident's needs and customize their care. There were a multitude of activities available to the residents throughout the day as well.

Everything is going well at The Atrium. They call us once a week with updates. The care giving staff is very communicative and is quick to confirm anything they need in terms of my mother-in-law's care. Because the community is on lock down as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff offered to FaceTime with us to make sure my mother-in-law got time to see us and interact with us. The cost is steep and my mother-in-law is quickly running low on funds, and The Atrium does not accept Medicaid so she will need to move relatively soon. They normally have good activities available for the residents as well. The executive director is fantastic and is always very communicative and will to address any of our concerns.

High quality, professional Assisted Living community. We liked it. It was a transition for my mom, but she adjusted quickly. They have a really nice garden area that is easy to access by the residents, It is secured and feels like a park. The food is pretty good. The sales person over promised and under delivered. She said my mom could get help with her dog and when we moved in that never happened. Otherwise we were happy.

Well, unfortunately, this community have been hit hard by the Coronavirus. It is in total lock down , but before that. my mother liked it and everything was going great. My mother likes the food. They has an excellent quality chef there. The aides are extremely nice people. We chose this community because we thought is was the best one we could find and its location is in close proximity to our house.

The staff at Benchmark Senior Living are very nice, pleasant , and helpful. They are very willing to work with you to meet the resident's needs and to alleviate any issues they may have.. We chose the community because it is close to our family. The food is really good and the communication is good.

I liked the Village at Brookfield. It was an affordable option. The food was good. They offer various care levels and price points to suit each person's individual needs. We liked that it is a smaller size community and felt cozy and welcoming. They have a calendar of events, they had choral groups brought in to entertain the residents, which we enjoyed.

I would recommend Whisper Woods as an option. The food is good. The apartments are nice. Overall it is a good place. The quarantine has been hard for mom to adjust to the community. Activities could be better. Staff is doing a good job with care needs.

everything about this place was more than satisfactory. As we stated this is the very first place we have looked into so being conservative on the rating at this time.

My visit was very successful in that I discovered that the provider would take care of my needs only for so long as my finances held out and at an estimate of nearly $10,000 per month for both myself and my wife, that was only about 4 years. If we survived after that we would be forced to move to a facility that accepted Mainecare. He was kind enough to suggest that perhaps his facility is not what we were looking for and referred us to an alternative of pursuing something like hospice or Visiting Angles and a facility that would accept Mainecare like Avita in Brunswick Landing. I will explore these other alternatives.

Visit only. Wait list. This was a very clean, spacious community. I liked the amount of space available for the residents to move around in though there didn't seem to be a lot of available independent activities. All staff were very friendly and informative. The one negative is that there is one nurse that administers medication who is on site 8-8. If anyone needed medication outside that time, there is no one to administer it. This won't work with someone who needs emergency medication like inhalers.

The lady was very helpful, but after talking with her, she felt they could not meet my husband's current needs. So we did not bother with the tour. Since we didn't complete the tour, it is difficult to give it a rating.
