Benchmark Senior Living

This is an extremely social community and very friendly. We really appreciate how much the staff members engage with the residents and keep them active. They have a ton of activities - physical and mental activities. Everyone eats together in the dining hall which is a great way for the residents to get to know one another.

I really liked this community but it was not really set up for memory care. It was nice for people who did not want to keep up a house or an apt but the adults are more proactive than my loved one. Everything is a la cart so the healthier you are the better but when there are services needed adding it all together is a lot higher in cost.

My loved one does not participate in all of the activities however they do have a big variety of activities. They have activities like movies, shakes, lemonade on the patios. They are great also with transportation to doctor appointments and also any other personal outings. They even stayed with my loved one to go to my wedding when it happen.

The meals and dining service at The Branches have been phenomenal, and the activities are starting to ramp back up. As the number of staff is increasing, everything else is increasing and improving. They offer a wide variety of activities. We would recommend this community depending on the diagnosis. It is a very nice and clean facility, the staff members have been nothing but exceptional.

It is a very uplifting and happy place. The staff have been good to work with. They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

They've been really good. I would definitely recommend them to others. I have a friend who works in the industry who told me there was no way an assisted living facility could take care of my loved one with the level of care he requires. But The Atrium has actually been able to do so. They are very capable and take care of all of his needs. The staff is great, and they adjust their staffing as needed, which has been really good. I wish they didn't have carpet in the rooms, but if it needs attention, they notice and do something about it. My only complaint is sometimes his hair is a little dirty, but by the next time I come to visit, it's fine. Compared to nursing home costs, it's a great value here at The Atrium.

The community had a full slate of activities each day for the residents. The staff did a good job at getting residents involved in activities. Our loved one had a short stay in the community. I have only positive things to say about the community. The staff were always attentive and friendly.

The staff is very nice from top to bottom, from the people that clean to the administrative staff. They'll answer any questions you have, and they'll help you with anything. They listen and follow up. I like the fact that I don't have to do anything when I go there. My loved one's room room is already clean, his bed is made, his bathroom is clean, his clothes are hung up. It's a much better situation than when he was at home, where you had to worry about where you were going to sit amongst the mess. He's always clean and dressed when we go in, sitting up and reading. The common areas are always clean as well. He has his privacy, but socialization is there and available if he wants or needs it. The housekeeping staff is really nice, and he enjoys talking with them. We've ben very impressed with the food, not at all like stereotypical nursing home food. He enjoys every bit of it, and they offer a couple of choices at each meal. When I was visiting once at dinnertime, they brought me coffee and a salad , and would have fed me dinner too. And then they brought me dessert too, which I thought was very nice. I think the cost is high, and I wasn't expecting all the ala carte, add-on costs for little extras - haircuts, medication assistance, etc. We even had to pay for furniture for the room. I might feel more at ease with the cost as he ends up needing more care down the road. But he seems very comfortable there.

Our tour was great, and I really liked it here. This is the one I really wanted due to proximity to where we live. I also knew the facility from my previous work in the industry. I liked the dining room where our loved one would be able to go and be with everybody. The facility itself was very nice. The two main issues were higher cost, and they also would not be able to transition her into another unit there if she further declined in functioning.

It really overall has been a five star experience. The only thing that caused me to rate slightly lower is it's a newer place, and I think because of that, they have a few bugs to work out as far as communication goes. We experienced some bumps at the beginning as far as emails regarding our loved one's health issues. We have one loved one with dementia, and the other with hearing problems. So communication has been problematic a little bit. I think if they were both healthy and alert and able to respond for themselves that communication would be great. But the place is absolutely beautiful. It's bright, clean, fresh, new, comfortable, with lots of shared and open spaces. We've utilized the salon services for my mom, and it was phenomenal. My dad raves about the food, and he talks about it all the time. It's a good portion for older people, the variety seems great, and the quality is incredible. I see that they're offering activities, although my loved ones haven't been participating. They absolutely are receiving top notch medical oversight, equal to or better than we have experienced at skilled nursing. I'm not old enough yet, but if they said I could move in, I'd be there tomorrow! It really is the best of all worlds for elderly people. It's been a great experience. We've been really happy.

Even during COVID, they still have found ways to keep the residents engaged. They have a few hallways activities, and we really like the friendliness of the staff. When we were first in search of a place we were really impressed with the woman we met with at Benchmark. She was so warm, caring and down to earth. This community is warm and inviting and we appreciate transparency with their administration. They let us know exactly what the protocols are for the senior level to the individuals facilities. They alert us through email regarding COVID cases or if our loved one has potentially been exposed. The director will reach out to us by phone as well with update, we do feel comfortable knowing our loved one is being well taken care of.

I would recommend this community. I feel it was a little more expensive. I would have liked to have handled the exit a little better. My mom was there for five weeks prior to passing. They told us that if we could come get the items, and it wasn't a big rush to get the items out of the community. I feel that if someone dies, that we should't have had to pay for the entire month extra for the community. I feel that they should have given us a week to come and get the items out of the community and then prorate the last month. We wanted to have my mom's end of life to be the best. The community is very nice. There was only one incident where the clicker was out of batteries according to the community. My mother needed assistance in a few times a day. If I was sick I would go to this community. My mom really loved it here. My mom thanked us for placing her in the community. The community didn't care what time we came to see my mom. There are plenty of activities to participate in.

I would tell my friends it is a good place. It is friendly and comfortable. The room sizes are good. My loved one is in the lower level which is specialized care, than the regular units. The upstairs units seem to be a little bigger, we briefly walked in and out.

There are quite a few activities, but my father is not partaking in them. IT would be a good idea to place your loved one. You walk in and it is very clean. It looks modern and updated. You get a response like a request the resident will receive it in 24 hours.

We chose this facility because of the location and availability. The room size was adequate for the situation my uncle was in. The food had variety, but it was more institutional like. He was not thrilled with the food. My favorite part about this community is the staff members, they were terrific to my uncle. They also had activities and the food was above nursing home level. We were able to take him out to dinner which we did once a week. I would recommend The Branches of North Attleboro for someone who has to be in this situation.

The community is usually clean. The nursing director and the senior nursing team are outstanding. The day to day staff and caretakers sometimes aren't as friendly or attentive and being in memory care, my mother does need more care. She isn't super mobile and sometimes the staff isn't quite fast enough to respond to her needs. The grooming could also be a lot better. The food could use improvement, but the activities have been outstanding. Benchmark is pretty expensive but the care is good.

Having visited different communities and having my mother previously been in another care community in New York, and then a temporary nursing home, Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings was very clean in comparison and had absolutely no odor. Everything was sparkling clean no matter what time of day or what part of the community. The memory care staff was great; they were very cheerful, very happy, and very supportive. The activities were great as well, they had a variety available and were good about keeping the residents engaged. This included singing, watching movies, large-ball volleyball, and activities that took place beyond the community, like going to a coffee shop. The location was also ideal for me and in terms of my mother's personality, Ridgefield Crossings was the best fit. Her apartment also looks out on the community courtyard rather than the inside of the community.
