Benchmark Senior Living

Went to review the memory care unit and were impressed by the staff who have been there a long while. Care is well integrated and flexible. Has a nice enclosed garden. Not the loveliest location but with memory care the exterior is less important.

Evolve is a warm friendly community. Bright, immaculate, updated and welcoming. I liked the circular structure of the building that surrounded a courtyard. In the courtyard were raised gardens, beautiful sculpture and big weather proof wicker seating. French doors opened to this courtyard. Why do I describe this. Residents freely can go in and out of the building from all sides. Some residents are not tucked away in their own "secure" neighborhood, meaning locked in. At 92, my mother with dementia, Alzheimer type, is still highly physically functional. She would know she is locked away from the rest of the community. This is why Evolve's architecture impressed me. The Incoming residents can bring their own furniture. More important the residents no matter their depth of journey were interacting with the staff, who smiled to say hello to me. Transitioning my mother into a memory care community is likely the hardest journey for me. As I walked through the building I noticed family members coming and going and this was near to lunch-time. I told they come to have lunch with a resident. I felt a sense of peace in this place. Evolve in a nutshell, is like walking into a home not an institution.

My son and I received an excellent tour of this facility and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire facility and friendliness of the staff and residents. Although I’ve since ruled out this facility based on my current needs I may consider it again when my health and immediate concerns merit an update. Thank You for your effort. My husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease when he was 54 years old. When his symptoms became worse and the disease progressed to the middle stages, I struggled with attending to his needs. Thankfully, after my husband was sent to Atrium at Faxon Woods I was able to relieve my stress as the staff there were very professional and supportive. They helped my husband transition smoothly into his new living space, which was spacious and designed specifically for patients in need of memory care. They also provided assistance in the form of onsite doctors, dental and hair salon services, and a variety of healthy meals during my husband’s time at Atrium. I am thankful that he received a great deal of attention and care there.

AMAZING community. You walk in and everyone says hello. Such a feeling of home. A very positive atmosphere.

We moved our Dad from another facility to Mariner's Point and we're so glad we did. Communication is key, and MP has been wonderful. Everyone from the receptionist, to nursing, to the director has returned each of our call and emails. The facility is beautiful, food is good, desserts are the best (dad's a big ice cream fan). We're very happy with Mariner's Point, where it seems, everyone cares.

Beautiful community. [Removed] was an excellent tour guide. Hopefully, we can get my aunt into this community very soon. Great atmosphere! Residents look happy and well cared for. Very happy having discovered this community.

Very impressive!

[Removed] at A Place for Mom was fabulous. I was online looking at options for my mom at 9pm on a Friday and she called me right away. We ended up talking for almost an hour. The following morning a gentleman called me from the facility and next Thursday we were having lunch there. Everybody in the community is great here. I have said it to many people; you feel like everybody reaches out to you. They are all there to do their job, but also they feel like a family. The wait staff is kind, nice, and just unbelievable. They have a doctor there who has now become my parent’s doctor. I can’t tell you how many people and how many times they check in on my father. Before he was in bed for 1 ½ months straight and he wasn’t doing much of anything. Because of his condition he was administered medication 4 times a day. I asked if we could switch to 3 times a day and from that is when everything changed. Now he will talk to the wait staff, he will actually engage in conversation, and everybody that I met would not believe the difference in my dad. My mother kept saying that she felt like they’re on their honeymoon. She went to Europe and went out to eat often. Here she and my father go to the dining area and the waiter would take their order. The waiter is from Italy and he would know the places that my mother would tell him about. He would sing with them too during meals. It is such a wonderful place. There’s dignity, it’s like an apartment place, and I even stayed overnight there. They have things going on all the time like the media room where residents can go and watch a movie. The facility is a safe and secured place. The doors lock at 8pm and you have to push a button to have someone come and let you in. They’re all lovely people, the transition has been really nice, and there’s not enough good things to say. I can walk out of here and not have to worry about my parents at all. I know that they are under great care.

Loved everything about the Village. Clean, bright, easy to get to and the residents and employees both seemed very happy and helpful.

We like the care from this community for my father. The staff is caring and attentive to his needs. The community is clean and a lot of variety for the residents are available. This community is a good environment. I would recommend families to this community for the good care for a loved one.

Hi [Removed]. My brother, [Removed], and I loved Greenwich Farms. [Removed] was really nice and was very informative. The only drawback was that there was no skilled nursing and I am a little worried about my dad in the event he should need more care down the road as we would like my parents to stay in the same community.

We selected this facility as it meet our budget requirements and as far as we can tell was as nice and supportive of all the other more expensive options.

I was able to speak with the staff on the care that is available for my mom's care. They had a nice list of activities and the menu seemed to be appealing. I was informed that the activities would be offered for her to participate. They have small trips away from the community. We would recommend that families our this community on their own to see if it fids there needs of a loved one.

This is a lovely community, and my father is doing very well since his move here. I'am pleased with everything they have done for us. He is safe, and in good hands. The staff very kind, and have been helpful whenever needed. I have heard nothing but positive comments from my father about them. When I visit his room, and the community are nice, and clean. The meals are good, and there are activities offered for the residents. It has been a positive experience for us in this community, and I would recommend it.

I'am comfortable with my mothers move to this community. It is working out well for her, and her needs. They have a good staff, and they are providing her good care. I know she is safe, and in good hands in this facility. She is doing well since her move here, and I would recommend this community to my friends.

This has been a great community for my mom. The staff is keeping me informed on her progress. The community is clean with good environment. The menu is outstanding and my mom likes the variety of the meals. They do have activities that are offered for her to participate with the other residents. I would be happy to recommend this community for other families for the good care and value.

Academy Point at Mystic did an amazing job of turning a bad situation and experience from the previous community and making it into a favorable and positive experience for me and my mom. At the previous place, they assessed her to be incontinent, here at Academy Point she has not had one accident. I am very happy with their four levels of care. The staff members here are great about taking care of her needs. They are very nurturing and caring and it is such a happy place. The food is excellent. They recently had a lobster bake for the residents and their families, and today I dined with my mom for lunch and they prepared the meals with lobster. My mom has to have her food pureed and they accommodated her by pureeing the lobster for her. They offer a lot of variety and choices in the meals. My mom is loved by the staff members and she seems to thrive with their care. They offer activities and exercise for the residents. I tell everyone I know how great it is here at Academy Point at Mystic.

The staff is very efficient and very nice. I love all of the friends I’ve made here. You can’t please everyone, but the help tries hard. My friend is living out on her own and I think a place like this would be good for her, so I suggested she give it a try Greenwich Farms will be beneficial to my friend.
