Benchmark Senior Living

Due to COVID there are limited activities, but normally they have plenty to do. They would take daily shopping trips, as well as bring in high school students to perform musical numbers. They would have musicians perform in the back court yard as well. Our loved one is very pleased with their activities. The food is very well done and very well presented. The exterior is immaculate, it is a colonial style building. They have a walking trail that surrounds the building where the residents can go on walks. The interior is very clean and very welcoming. It has a very warm feeling to it. The rooms are very spacious.

The restaurant was clean, along with the bathrooms, and the rooms that I visited. I would let people to look at this community. I think the staff is excellent. The community is beautiful and brand new.

We chose Arbor Terrace because the staff was unbelievable friendly as well as the residents. The community also offers a medicaid bed if you run out of money. My parents are in a bedroom they share, it is on a smaller side and they do offer more room sizes. The food was good, they offer specials and also have big events during the holidays. My parents have never complained about the food. Especially since COVID, the care services have been excellent. Before COVID activities were excellent, they had something going on at all times. Staff is very good at communication. My favorite part about this community again is the staff, they always know what is going on and the nurses always call to keep us informed, especially during COVID.

We chose Academy Point at Mystic because of the assistance from admissions, they were very helpful and accommodating. The facility is also quite nice, it overlooks the Mystic River which is beautiful. My mom had studio and it was plenty roomy. We loved the friendliness of the staff as well as the activities provided. There was something to do always. Sometimes I didn't want to leave after vising. One downfall is visitor parking can be a challenge. I would recommend.

We chose The Village at Kensington Place because of the location, my brother lives in the same town, the people were extremely nice, polite, and friendly. I just had a good feeling about the place. We went through this with my mother in law so we were pros at looking into facilities, we felt this was the best option for my mother. The room sizes were good here. I would absolutely recommend.

We love the staff, they are wonderful. We would give them 10 out of 10 stars if we could. This place is a little more on the expensive side. They do need to improve on their activities in the memory care unit. However the music program is the best for these patients. The food is not the best. The rooms are pretty good size, you get what you pay for. Some rooms you share a bathroom unless you have private room. One thing that really stood out to us was the decor at this community and the friendless of the staff.

We chose this community because the way they priced their services. For example, the time they help my mom get dressed, take a shower, etc is not in the cost. We also liked the setting of the community, they specialize in assisted living and they know how to do it right. The room sizes are a little on the small size, but the are adequate. The food is excellent, there is a lot of variety, it is nutritious, and they give adequate portions but still let you indulge. My favorite part about the community would be the people, treatment, and communication from the staff members. COVID has been a good test to see how great the community really is. I would absolutely recommend Ashland Farm at North Andover.

Care services were excellent, some activities they provided for the residents were bingo, card games and guest speakers. My aunt enjoyed the food very much, never complained. Very accommodating to each residents. We loved the layout, it had a very homey feeling. The rooms were good sizes, they offered a lot of different varieties to choose from. The staff was very caring, they were excellent. The guy who ran this place was simply amazing

We chose this community because it had a good physical building layout, and my mom is mostly blind. Also the staff was very approachable and friendly from the management all the way down. The room sizes were adequate. The food was good, my mom preferred it over the other place she was at. Our favorite part about the community is how involved all of the staff are with the residents and how kind they and responsive they are with requests.

The community is usually very clean. The staff is also usually very friendly. We have had no concerns or complaints at all. They have been very careful during the Covid-19 pandemic and we have been very pleased with their response. It is expensive, however we do think Benchmark Senior Living At Nashua Crossings is a good value for the price. We are very grateful that my mother can reside here.

Finding a new home for my grandma was a really difficult choice. Chesnut Park proved to be a great one. My grandma and my family and I had a positive experience there. The staff is friendly, positive, encouraging and patient with visitors and residents. I couldn't believe how calm they stayed with my grandma and her fellow residents, despite some difficult tasks and moods. She was greeted by name constantly as she moved down the halls, which I know meant a lot to her. They were responsive and respectful of my families requests and needs for my gram. They work hard to provide appropriate activity for the residents, keeping them moving and socializing to the best of their abilities. Whenever I visited I had to hunt her down! I might find her at: the afternoon movie, a discussion group, music therapy, snack time, sitting outside or getting her nails done. Then, even at the end when my gram passed, the staff was SO lovely. The managers met us at the door, expressed condolences, offering hugs and kind words. They had cleaned her room up, carefully arranged her so she looked as though she was sleeping peacefully (sounds weird but in the moment but that means a lot) and put out extra tissues, water, and chairs. They even asked if there was any staff she would've wanted to attend the services. It was such a touching gesture, for some who would otherwise not have many at a service I'm sure it would be especially meaningful. Overall, Chesnut Park provided a great experience for us during a difficult time, thank you.

The community is pretty clean. The staff is friendly. Like with any community, it can take some time for the staff to attend to my loved one's needs. We do think the food is pretty good here. We do feel like River Ridge At Avon is a good value for the price.

We are very pleased with The Village. The staff is very attentive and they have had no cases of the Covid-19 virus because they are so proactive. The food is fantastic and the chef is incredible. The community itself is immaculate and they are vacuuming and cleaning every single day. The staff is phenomenal and go out of their way with us and the residents. It is very expensive, however knowing mother is safe and happy is invaluable.

As a registered nurse, I have never seen care like they have given there. Every person I have come across here is caring, compassionate, and kind. The staff is so exceptional and they have really gone out of their way to communicate with us about our loved one's care. You really get the feeling they care. The food could be better. I don't think they have enough activities available. They do have a lot of activities available, should the residents choose to participate. I think given how much we are paying, the value is up to par for the care they are giving. I highly recommend the memory care area at Whisper Woods!

I would give the staff a 10 if I could! They do more than just take residents. The overall concern for the residents is great and they are clearly personally invested in the well being of each of them. They did have activities available, although my mother didn't often participate. The food is good and they have a good variety and the menu they offer the residents is image based. They always had fresh fruit and desert as well! Benchmark suited the needs of my mother and for that, it was worth the value. They are wonderful; they didn't just do their job, they cared!

The community was always very nicely taken care of. The staff was exceptionally friendly. They know everyone's name and very helpful and caring. The care for my mother has been excellent. They have been very accommodating and they clearly go out of their way to care for the residents. The nursing staff and the director is excellent! The food is great and I personally don't mind eating there at all. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been delivering the residents' three meals a day to their rooms.

The community is very clean. The dinning room staff is very congenial to my sister and are very friendly with her and she has commented on this several times. The times I was able to visit it was very pleasant and I thought my sister was being well taken care of. The food was very good and the portions are a bit smaller, which my sister likes. She also likes that you can go back for more but it wasn't too much all at once. They are also very accommodating with the resident's preferences in terms of the food. The activities were also great and they had good variety. I was impressed with what they offered. When we toured, the tour itself was wonderful and we were treated to lunch. They were very accommodating and they even followed up with my sister and kept in touch with her. They visited at her home and made sure she was comfortable with moving and eventually, she decided she was ready to move.

The community was always clean. The staff tries to keep the residents engaged and are very friendly. They also have good communication with the families when they need. My family member is a little reluctant to receive help, but the staff is very accommodating and with always be willing to talk with us and address any of our concerns. My family member complains about the food, so we think it could be a little better. They do have activities available for the residents.

My Mom was a resident of Ridgefield Crossings for the past 8 years, about 4 years on the traditional side and 4 years in Harbor, the memory care unit. Since I needed to fly to visit her, I would stay a week, about 4 times a year, spending most of the day shadowing her, participating in activities with her, helping when I could. I really got to see her daily life. The associates were wonderful. They were caring, compassionate and competent. I had many discussions with them over my Mom's changing abilities and health. They were truly on top of her condition. Mom grew to love her aides. Mom had several different apartments over the years and they were all well kept and suited her needs at that time. The activities were well planned and reflected consideration of her abilities. There was always music, particularly live performances, several times a week. When Mom turned 100 years old last fall, we had a lovely party for her at the facility with the help of the personnel at Ridgefield. With the lockdown for Covid-19, I totally appreciated the virtual visits which the associates made sure happened. Ridgefield Crossings is a first rate establishment. My Mom was well cared for up until the end of her days (natural causes) and I would highly recommend this facility.
