Belmont Village

Probably the most positive thing I had seen at this community was the memory care unit and all of the great classes and activities that are available to help them throughout the day. I just did not need the level of care that they had at there facility for my grandmother. It just was not the right fit for her and was very expensive on top of that.

I was a little overwhelmed by how big this community was when I had taken my tour. There was a lot of residents and because of how big it was my mom would have been separated into a group. I did notice that they did have a very high end menu and everything was very modern in the dinning room. It was just very expensive and not the right fit for my mother.

My mom was at this community. The staff was nice,but we did not get everything we had thought we would get here. The food was appealing with a variety. Activities were offered to her here. The staff was friendly, but we needed more care for her. I would not recommend for others at this time.

The gentleman I spoke to at this community was a very kind. He was informative and answered my questions. He did inform me he didn't think they would be able to provide to level of caring my mother needed. I appreciate that he did not waste my time.

Very far from home. Closer to Church. Did not like set meal times. Unorganized upon check in. Given misinformation on who I was meeting with. Seemed under staffed. Didn't like med mgt. location. Residents not happy. Parking troublesome. [removed] Plus too far for health care. Doctors were beyond the 10 mile limit. Deal breaker. Just not right fit.

Actually I would rate as 3.5 stars at this point. My husband is doing well here at this community. There are a few things they need to improve on. It is a nice looking community. They keep the community neat and clean. The staff is great, but some of the caregivers leave a little to be desired. They don’t pay attention to certain things and some don’t seem to have much common sense. There are great activities offered. He loves the food, which is a big plus. I'm comfortable with the care, and I would recommend this community.

Our experience with Belmont Village was somewhat mixed. We placed two loved ones here, and while it worked fine for one of them, the other required a higher level of care than they were able to provide. I think they could have been more thorough in the care evaluation, so we could have avoided having to move her in and then back out again. However, they are doing a good job with the loved one who stayed, and I think it is a nice place for someone who matches their level of care.

This place did not feel right to us. It was very expensive and too big with 200 residents in Assisted Living. Most of all, we didn't like the feeling that we were in a hotel. I will not be taking my parents there for a visit.

All around level of care is better than "very low." It is satisfactory (3) I expected it to be excellent (4.5-5) based on advisors recommendation. Meds are filled properly. No issue there. I do think nurses and care givers need to be better managed. Also think not enough nurses to handle needs of all patients on a timely basis.

We toured this community when we were looking into senior living options. Belmont Village was a nice looking place, but it was just too big, it's a huge apartment building that takes up a city block.That's just too many people for us.

Nice but no gardens to walk in. Lots of convalescence and not enough care takers for the need.

It just hasn't been quite what we expected. The morning routine seems to be extremely rushed, which does not set well with my mom. It has not been a smooth transition. It has only been a month, so we are optimistic that things will get better. The place is very nice and clean, and the staff is friendly, however they need better orientation and care services. Any time I have voiced any concern though they have shown a willingness to listen and help out where they can.

They are okay. I think for most people they are fine. We are having a difficult time getting adjusted. It's clean and the staff is friendly. But the communication among the staff, and with the family is not that good. We don't hear about a lot of things, or we hear about them really late. I think my loved one's condition has declined since coming here. When we first came and toured they seemed to be much more organized, now it seems like no one has any answers. If we ask a question they take forever to get back to us, and they have to check with this person or that person. I am just not very impressed.

Nice looking facility but very pricey. Residents appeared to be bored and non-engaging.

The location, of course, is perfect. The building is impressive, and the staff are friendly but I had the distinct impression of them all trying much too hard to impress. We were invited to have lunch with the residents before we had 'the tour'. The food was exceptionally tasty. After lunch we were shown the residents common areas, theater and library. I then expressed interest in seeing the apartments, and strangely enough, this appeared to be a problem. We were told that a) there really was nothing available now, but if we wished to, we could be wait-listed b) the only accommodation that was available to see, was the very smallest of all the floor plans. Naturally we wanted to see it, and were taken upstairs in the elevator. I was shocked. You enter through a room that has linoleum on the one side of the floor, and a cheap and unattractive wall cabinet, and a sink and a stove and a fridge, the kind of look one would find in a low-income apartment building. (the assisted living apartments apparently have the same unit without a stove.The rest of the floor is carpeted in cheap, commercial grade carpeting. The living area is small. The bedroom is tiny, and is appointed with a tiny bare bones looking wooden closet. The bathroom is tiny and unattractive too. We were told the price was $9,100.00 per month. G-d alone knows what this cubby hole would cost with assisted living inclusive, or what the larger one bedroom apartments cost. We were told that the soonest an apartment would be available anyway, was about three months, although the larger units may free up sooner...?? I'm not sure why so little attention is given to the living arrangements, but I would have expected something a little classier with that price tag. On the way out we looked at the outdoor area next to a very old and poorly maintained swimming pool. Very uninviting.

So far things have gone fairly well at Belmont Village. It's a nice looking place, and the staff have been friendly. One area I'd like to see them improve would be the activities and interaction the residents have with the staff. My loved one has been having trouble getting involved.

Assisted Living start at $5,075 for a studio and include personal care. starting price a studio in memory care is $6,225. Brand new.

Did not like walking into dinning area not good lay out

Nice property, close to TMC but not the best fit for my Mom ambience wise.

The caregivers are good. The activities are okay for the age group. The food is not good. For example, for lunch today, we had pizza and it was greasy all over. The soup is salty. With this age group there are probably a lot of people who have to watch what they eat. They don’t have a dietician.
