The staff here is great and make my Mom feel very welcomed. The food is good and the grounds are very nice. She is well taken care of and her room is kept clean and orderly. They really seem to care for everyone here.

I moved my mother to Brookdale from another facility because she needed more care. All the caregivers and staff at Brookdale are kind and very attentive to my mother. She is happy there and that gives me peace of mind. There is very little staff turnover and I believe that means that the staff is happy to come to work each day. To me that makes a big difference in the kind of care my mother receives. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone who asked!

Wonderful experience with this community. Most of the staff are friendly. Food is above par. Apartments are ok and spacious. Transportation services is lacking a bit but not a deal breaker. You can have small pets.

Nice rooms, slightly older facility, high CNA turnover. The people I have spoken to and dealt with have all been very nice and professional. I would recommend Brookdale Oceanside, mainly because of the value.

I do recommend them to anybody that asks me! Putting a loved one in assisted care is definitely a learning curve and my dad was not an easy case.

Although no place is perfect, I feel like they handle that place very well. They should hire someone to work the front desk during the late afternoon & early evening. I miss when closing time was 7:30pm. Sometimes they don't have transportation because the bus drivers tend to not last very long. Also I hear residents complaining about the quality of the food, & the dining area gets a bit too cold. Other than that things are pretty good.

They recently had some entertainment activities that were well done. One was a speaker who talked about Houdini, a magician, and a Hungarian dinner honoring Houdini and another presentation was on the Titanic. It combined a session with a speaker and a dinner served to 1st class passengers on the Titanic. Before the presentation they had a Guinness tasting and Irish music with Irish dancers. You just had to sign up beforehand and friends and family were invited as well.

We were so impressed with the nurses & caregivers at Torrey Pines ~ clearly overworked, but doing their best to get to all residents, and always kind & cheerful to my father and family. The front office staff were also always caring and helpful. For those considering assisted living for a family member, we recommend keeping in mind that you may need to hire outside housekeeping services. Keep your family member's diet interesting by bringing in fresh vegetables & favorite foods when visiting, if the room has a refrigerator. And, visit often ~ we met so many residents who bitterly commented, "My family dumped me here," and clearly felt abandoned. Even the nicest facility can't make up for emotional injury.

Serento is a wonderful place for my mom. The staff is attentive and the physical environment is attractive and fun. They have many daily activities and musical guests. The staff always decorates beautifully for every holiday! They make each residents birthday a very special day with balloons and a crown. They have added more excursions and field trips. I would recommend Serento. Financially, I wish the monthly rent wasn't so expensive.

My loved one is a resident at Brookdale Oceanside and overall, the experience has been good. However, the facility keeps raising the price and we are close to not being able to afford it.

The facility needs to be renovated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Needs a little more home caregiver wise. They were starting to make improvements on the activities in the new year and they seemed really good.

They could provide more resources for services and assistance My grandma has said multiple times that the menu stays the same a lot of the time and the food is bland and often dry They raised my grandmothers price over 500 for reasons unknown and I believe they could provide more care and check ins. One helpful thing is definitely talk through all the prices thoroughly and try to see as many menus, activities as possible to make sure the person you are wanting to potentially take there resonates with it all, especially the price. They kind of pulled a fast one on my grandma and said she would be paying around [removed] but ended up paying [removed] and we still don't fully know why.

We really like the staff team at the Torrey Pines Senior Living community. However, the response to our parents' pressing their buttons needs to be quicker - that is an improvement they could work on.

They are a friendly and are good with my mom but it can be hard to get a hold of them sometimes and there are times when they're short staffed. We picked this community because of the location and the flat fee for services.

Generations Serento Casa is being sold to Bayshire, an owner/operator of assisted living facilities. It is unclear as to what changes we should expect. The sale is expected to close in January 2024.

My loved one is currently a resident at Brookdale Oceanside. The staff at this facility are great, they're very caring and friendly. They do many activities with the residents and try really hard to make their lives comfortable and happy. The only issue we had was a little bit of miscommunication regarding the move in, but overall everything has been very smooth. This facility is a great value for the money. I would recommend Brookdale Oceanside to others.

My dad has been living at the Brookdale Oceanside for almost two years. He said it's home and he feels safe. The staff take great care of him, and customer service is a top priority. He enjoys the many activities, especially B-fit.

Everyone here at the community is friendly and they always have a smile. My husband and my experience has been great. My husband enjoys happy hour.

I really love it here. The workers here are great. I really like the bi fit program, it's an exercise class here. I already made a best friend.

Very good services for safe assisted living, with perks not always available elsewhere, for seniors who are ambulatory. We picked this community, because of the proximity to home + 7/24 caregiver & nurse support.
