Overall we are very pleased with our experience at American House Lakeside! The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well kept, and they do a great job helping the people who live here! The staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly, and we really appreciate the help they've given us looking into financial aid programs.

Great options for living arrangements for Ma. From the fact they work with Detroit Area on Aging to the Tax Credit they offer with a minor wait list to qualify of about 10 months combined with the great impression I got from visiting them. And they do offer a personal care program with the medical all included for assisted living. It's a slam dunk. $

We visited this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this seemed like a very nice place overall! The staff were friendly, and it looked like they had a lot to offer the residents. The facility itself was clean, and the apartments looked nice and recently modernized.

Really liked Boller Meadows. Know someone who lives there & loves it.

The minute I walked into the facility I knew it was a comfortable, welcoming, safe, and happy environment. The residents appeared to enjoy their surroundings. I cannot say enough about Marilyn. She was thorough, and made certain I had everything I needed to be comfortable with any choice I would make. The 1-bedroom units were perfectly laid out space, the dining room was inviting. It was obvious that every decision made is done for the benefit of the residents in the community.

The place is conveniently located, the staff is very friendly, and it's very clean. The location is convenient because it is close to where I work. Activities include game night, movie night, and they have people come in.

Felt this is the place for my sister. Deposit posted & awaiting call back & trying to work out apt. with our needed date!

Things have gone well here, overall! It's a great looking community, there are windows everywhere and it has a lighty airy feel. You just get good vibes when you walk in the front door! The staff are great, they really focus on trying to make the residents feel comfortable and at home.

People very friendly, and the home is close to family and friends (including us) The brother really liked this and that helped us make the decision also.

we got off to a bit of a rocky start , partly my fault though,now its going much smoother..There is quite a learning curve for the new resident, but the staff is very supportive and caring. The building and grounds are beautiful, the food is good, and there are a lot of things for the residents to do. It has a very upbeat atmosphere.

Vista Springs is WONDERFUL! While I am not the resident, my sister and her husband have said many times, that "this is the best thing that could happen to us". She also says "that Vista Springs has to be the best facility for seniors in the state of Michigan." My personal experiences in making contact with Vista Springs through "A Place for Mom" have been wonderful as well. Your staff is more than helpful, courteous, and engaging--They are Marvelously Wonderful!! Thanks you again for being there.

The American House Oakland is clean and has a warm home welcoming appearance. The staff interacted well with residents and visitors on our tour. There was a kind resident greeter, Frank, who put mom at ease as our tour started. Mom is very excited to go live in her new home and sit on her balcony with the lovely view.

My loved one seems to be doing so much better since she moved here, she's getting all kinds of help that she was not receiving before, and they are doing a great job looking out for her. It was a big change for her but the staff have been great about being patient and welcoming to help her feel at home.

My mother in law was living here by herself but we all felt that she needed more care than what they had there. They keep an eye on you but it's not really around the clock care. It was more like an apartment, they're pretty much on their own there. My mother in law loved it and it was hard to get her to go there, she wanted to stay in her house and she fought it. There was a lot of yelling and fighting for a while. The day we moved all her stuff over there and all her furniture it pretty much looked like home, but the end of the day she was getting more okay with it and within a couple of days she was sayig it was a really nice place. I would recommend American House for somebody that doesn't need the extra care, who's more independent but they're there if you need them.

The movie theater is a feature and is clean, its shows some nice movies. My mom dislikes the food she says its ok. Overall I’m pleased.

i am very impressed with this facility and leaning strongly towards it since it is so close to my home and has medicare availability

We arrived on time anticipating that we would have both lunch and a tour (noon). Through a communication glitch, our arrival was more of a surprise. Even unannounced, director graciously welcomed us in and gathered information from Mom. We did not have lunch, but did get an invitation to return for a meal at a later date. Sharon showed us the dinning room and meal choices, the laundry room, chapel, and then a one bedroom and two bedroom apartment. Mom really liked the one bedroom apartment and seemed to respond positively to everything that the director talked about.

I liked this community but the vibe and care that I seen at the community that I picked out shined this community and what was offered.
