The staff at this community are really sharp and efficient. The maintenance and housekeeping are friendly and very helpful. They do not offer a lot of social activities. I would recommend this community.

Great place. Very nice apartment-like rooms and good feel in facility. Lovely wooded surroundings and apartments have pleasant/peaceful balconies. W&D in each unit. This would be Independent Living with services added when needed - medical team on property. Can stay in place as needs increase. Many employees been with company for many years.

My first choice for mom. Clean, new, beautiful and close to my home. Unfortunately, mom said it reminds her of a hospital.

I do feel comfortable with my father move to this community. I love to this community, everything is working our very well, and I'am pleased with his move here. This is a great community with kind people. Everyone has been wonderful.

I like the care at this community. We liked that the staff keeps us informed on her progress. We like knowing that the community is clean and maintained. My mom seems to be happy here and that makes us happy to know that she is getting great care. We would recommend this community for the care of and value of a loved one.

My mother absolutely loved her experience at the American House. They were so friendly and accommodating, she even made the comment, " If I would have known it would be this much fun, I would have moved a long time ago!". She did move out because she was number 30 on the waiting list to go from a studio apartment to a one bedroom, but it was a very good experience while she was there. We highly recommend them.

My parents are totally happy here which makes me happy. The food is okay for this kind of community and I did get to eat it. My parents really do not get involved with the activities, but they do offer them. The community is nice and clean and never any problems.

Love it, love it, Love it. I am very happy. The Staff is amazing. They take amazing care of my dad. They are friendly and caring, and I just can't say enough about the staff. They are the most important piece of the puzzle.

I like the care that my mom is getting here. the staff is very nice. The food has gotten better from when we first moved in. She is very happy with the activities that are offered. They have small trips outside of the community and she really enjoys them. the community is very clean. We would recommend this community for the care and value for a loved one.

My aunt was in this community for a short period of time. The staff was nice and caring, The community was clean and well taken care of. They did not watch her special needs when it came to the meals. the community is great but added additional expenses that were not included. I would suggest to other families to check out the community to make sure that it would be what they were needing for the value.

So happy we discovered a place for my cousin Barbara that welcomed her like family. The staff is very friendly, helpful and always accommodating. The affordability programs have truly helped to guarantee a worry free wonderful senior lifestyle. While my cousin rarely engaged in activities her social hour is her meal times. We highly recommend American House Oakland! If I could give them a 10 out of 10 I would give them a 20.

I could not have asked for kinder staff and a better place to have brought my Father to. While his stay was cut short, we will be forever grateful to everyone who welcomed my Father!

The staff where all very friendly during our visit, they made sure to give us a detailed tour with lots of useful information about there community. The residents all seemed to be enjoying them selves and where involved in various activities throughout the building.

I find my living here satisfactory. My room are especially clean. The help is very polite which means a lot. The office help is great. Thank you, L. Monendo

I just wanted to leave a quick review because I appreciate so much the way American House Oakland takes care of my grandfather. Having little family living in the state any longer it is concerning having him alone up there in Michigan. However every time I speak to him hes in great spirits. He loves the food , hes entertained with activities (they have a small movie theater he loves) , and he always gets his needs taken care of such as medication twice daily. I was in Michigan for the end of the summer and was very happy with the facility. The apartments lay outs are awesome , the dining room is beautiful and the two gals that run the building (Laura and Chantal) seem to not only run a great ship but care for my grandpa and the residents on a personal level as well. Very grateful to have this place for him!

My mom is getting out and people are bringing her into their community. She has not been involved in quite some time and now is attending meals and making friends. Very happy with her new home.

My mother is doing well here at this community. I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. This is a good community, everything is well maintained. The staff is great they are caring for her very well. There are nice activities offered. She is pleased with the meals. This is a community I would recommend.
