We chose River Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care because it was close to family and it was cheaper than others we looked into at the time. The only room we have seen is the room for 2 that they have, they wanted to stay together and it has been perfect for them. We have not eaten here but my in laws have said that the food is really good. They said the portion sizes are great and they also have treats for the residents. The facility is in a great location it looks like a big hotel. They have a small memory care unit here as well. I would definitely recommend

It a new top-notch facility. They have tried to come up with ways for us to visit, we could visit with a partition this summer. The room sizes are nice, and my mom says she likes the food. Their communication is very good. They send weekly covid updates. I would recommend this facility.

Journey was the best facility that my mom lived in. She passed away December 2019 at 93 years old. She lived in other facilities in the last eight years and Journey was the best. The staff understood the residents needs and provided outstanding care and support.

Moving our Father into Journey was such a blessing he has made friends, been more social and is being very well taken care of.

My husband went to Journey at the end of his life. He spent three weeks there before passing. The staff took great care of my husband beyond belief. I would recommend Journey to anyone. Loving, caring Staff.

My 92 year old mom moved into Journey Senior Living in mid-march just before all facilities went into lock-down. Journey Senior Living has done a fine job of communicating during this difficult time. We Skype with our mom and receive photos. They now allow outdoor visits. Our mom is always happy and in good spirits when we Skype. He enjoys the activities, She is safe and getting all of the help she needs.

The entire staff was caring, attentive and gave the residents very loving care. They knew my parents likes and dislikes and also got to know them personally and would sit and talk with them and know them as people, Not just as patients. Never did I see the staff on their cell phones which I noticed at another facility my mother was at. I am very grateful and appreciative of the staff for the care they gave my parents.

Journey Senior Living is a small place which allows for extremely great Memory Care. The staff Works to provide the necessary care for each resident. Being open just four years all areas are extremely clean. The activity program as well planned for the residence. The dining area is inviting and the workers are helpful in feeding those residents needing assistance. Food service is above-average. Prior to covid, access to the secured building was available to family members for visiting residents and helping with meals. Most room needs are provided or you may provide your own.

I am very happy with the care my mom receives at Journey. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and caring with the residents and their families. The facility is clean and they have remained covid free during this pandemic. I only wish they offered hamburgers for a meal choice daily because my mom loves hamburgers!

The staff was amazing to my dad. They took such good care of him. I will forever be grateful for their compassion and love that was shown not only to my dad, but also to his family.

We loved this place for my dear hubby! The staff were very accommodating! They did their best! Before [name removed] got to confused, he loved it too, and said so. [Name removed], [name removed] and the rest were awesome.

I could never ever say enough great thing about this community. My sister is very happy living there. It is a great comfort knowing she is in a safe, extremely clean and well taken care of community. The entire staff genuinely cares for everyone living there.

[name removed] is so much happier at The Glendale and it has been the best thing for her they made her feel welcome.

The Glendale is a smaller facility so it has more individual care. The staff is friendly, courteous, respectful, and very professional. The grounds are nice and the place is close to the express way and shopping. The rooms are spacious.

The Glendale does a great job of taking care of their senior residents. Mom lived there for almost 2 years. It was the perfect place for her. Great medical attention and plenty of activities. I can't praise their staff enough.

I can't say enough about the great care mom has mom has received since she has moved into The Glendale she is thriving. Thanks [name removed] and everyone for your compassion, caring, and kindness.

We chose Journey Senior Living of Merriville because it was a memory care facility that is close to my home. The room sizes here are average compared to some others we saw. The food here is good, my dad says he likes it and there are no complaints. The best part about the community so far has been that the staff members are embracing my father. I would recommend.
