Making the decision to place my wife in memory care was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but from the very beginning, the staff showed us nothing but compassion, patience, and respect. They took the time to truly know my wife—her routines, her preferences, and the little things that bring her comfort—and they care for her with genuine kindness every day. The team has been incredibly supportive not only to my wife, but to me as well. They communicate clearly, welcome my involvement, and always make me feel like a valued partner in her care. Knowing she is safe, treated with dignity, and surrounded by people who truly care has given me peace of mind during an otherwise heartbreaking journey. I am deeply grateful for this memory care community and would highly recommend it to any family facing a similar decision.

The secured walking paths and gardens are a standout feature. My mother spends time outside almost every day, which is so beneficial for her mood and sleep. The area is well-maintained and provides plenty of sensory stimulation from nature.

You can tell the staff receive continuous, specialized training in dementia care. Their techniques for de-escalating difficult behaviors are effective and respectful. I've witnessed them turn challenging moments into positive interactions.

It's a joy to visit because the residents genuinely look happy. I often hear laughter coming from the activity room. They do a great job creating a positive, fun-loving atmosphere despite the challenges of the disease.

Last month, my aunt had a minor fall, and the emergency response was immediate, calm, and professional. They contacted me right away, explained the situation clearly, and followed all protocols perfectly. Their preparedness is top-notch.

The team is flexible with visiting hours and very understanding of the sometimes unpredictable nature of the disease. They allow us to participate in activities with our loved one and never make us feel like we are imposing.

The Activities Director is a treasure. They tailor the schedule to the energy levels and interests of the current residents, not just a generic template. The cognitive stimulation games and physical exercises are perfectly suited for the memory impaired.

Moving Mom here was the hardest, but best, decision our family has made. We were drowning in home care stress, and now she is thriving in a structured, loving environment. The cost is high, but the value and quality of life she receives are truly priceless.

Avalon Memory Care staff were always cheerful, helpful, and responsive to any expressed needs, changes, suggested foods, and the attitude/mood of my husband during his stay there (almost 22 months). His room always smelled fresh and he was seldom left in a state of disarray if he was feeling good. Staff were attentive to his needs, friendly and compassionate. We were very well pleased with husband's care. I recommend Avalon for it's family oriented care and concern.

The care given by [removed names] were amazing. [removed name] was hard to care for, yet they did their very best to help him adjust to being away from home.

I want to thank the Avalon staff for helping me with the care of my husband. I tried to do it by myself, but could not do it as it became a 24 hour job. Avalon was a blessing to us, the staff was always gracious and helpful. They took care of him, showered him, gave him haircuts, and helped to feed him when he couldn't. I went everyday to see him and [name removed] and her staff listened to any concerns we had regarding his decline and provided updates. He was well taken care of and I appreciated all their work during his stay there.

We had to make a decision to move my parents after our mother fell at home and fractured her hip. After the surgery, she really went down hill fast and needed a lot of care. My dad was insistent that they remain together. We were so thankful that Avalon allowed my dad to move in as well so that they could stay together. As it turns out, our dad was needing more help in many areas than we realized. Mom passed away first, but dad loved the staff so much that we wanted to stay. He followed mom in passing just 6 months after she did. We will be forever grateful to the staff for their loving care for our parents.

The staff were friendly and thorough during my visit, and the modern design — with open spaces and greenery — felt refreshing. Residents seemed engaged and social, and activities appeared thoughtfully planned.

I toured about ten senior-living communities, and this one impressed me the most. The staff were warm, the environment felt uplifting, and after months of experience with them, I even referred another family — they’re just as satisfied.

My mom has been staying at Avalon memory care in McKinney Ranch facility for the last six months, and I’m really happy with the care she receives. The staff is kind and attentive, always making sure each resident is comfortable and well cared for. The facility is always clean, providing a warm and welcoming environment. A special mention to the manager, [removed name], who is responsible, approachable, and always has a smile on her face. [removed names] also deserve recognition for their care and positive energy. They take care of my mom with laughter, creating a cheerful atmosphere. Recently, two chief joined the team, and they cook delicious meals, making sure the residents get all the necessary nutrition. I feel at ease and peace knowing my mom is in such good hands.

Avalon Memory Care home was a godsend in the worst time of our lives. They cared for my father like he was their own for the last year of his life. They were very communicative and available to us for questions and support. Highly recommend Avalon if you find yourself in the position to need dementia care services.
