Avalon Memory Care

I want to thank the Avalon staff for helping me with the care of my husband. I tried to do it by myself, but could not do it as it became a 24 hour job. Avalon was a blessing to us, the staff was always gracious and helpful. They took care of him, showered him, gave him haircuts, and helped to feed him when he couldn't. I went everyday to see him and [name removed] and her staff listened to any concerns we had regarding his decline and provided updates. He was well taken care of and I appreciated all their work during his stay there.

We had to make a decision to move my parents after our mother fell at home and fractured her hip. After the surgery, she really went down hill fast and needed a lot of care. My dad was insistent that they remain together. We were so thankful that Avalon allowed my dad to move in as well so that they could stay together. As it turns out, our dad was needing more help in many areas than we realized. Mom passed away first, but dad loved the staff so much that we wanted to stay. He followed mom in passing just 6 months after she did. We will be forever grateful to the staff for their loving care for our parents.

The staff were friendly and thorough during my visit, and the modern design — with open spaces and greenery — felt refreshing. Residents seemed engaged and social, and activities appeared thoughtfully planned.

I toured about ten senior-living communities, and this one impressed me the most. The staff were warm, the environment felt uplifting, and after months of experience with them, I even referred another family — they’re just as satisfied.

Everyone from their incredibly kind nurse helping us with placement to the director of the facility, [removed name], and her team at the Boat Club Rd location. I'm in my early 30s, and did not think I would need help with my mom so early in my life. It was the hardest decision I've ever made, but when it got out of control at home, I feared I couldn't keep my job to support us and keep my mom safe with the type of care she needed. It's always been just me and her versus the world, but when I finally sought help they caught us and have kept my mom safe in some of her most challenging moments. It's just something I was not capable of doing myself. My mom has been staying at Avalon memory care in McKinney Ranch facility for the last six months, and I’m really happy with the care she receives. The staff is kind and attentive, always making sure each resident is comfortable and well cared for. The facility is always clean, providing a warm and welcoming environment. A special mention to the manager, [removed name], who is responsible, approachable, and always has a smile on her face. [removed names] also deserve recognition for their care and positive energy. They take care of my mom with laughter, creating a cheerful atmosphere. Recently, two chief joined the team, and they cook delicious meals, making sure the residents get all the necessary nutrition. I feel at ease and peace knowing my mom is in such good hands.

Avalon Memory Care home was a godsend in the worst time of our lives. They cared for my father like he was their own for the last year of his life. They were very communicative and available to us for questions and support. Highly recommend Avalon if you find yourself in the position to need dementia care services.

I couldn't found a better place for my dad. They were kind and loving to him always. His needs were taken of completely during his time there. I could not recommend them any more highly! This was a great place!

From beginning Shannon was very informative, answered every question plainly and went the Xtra mile and the move was smooth and painless. [removed name] liked the place right away and complimented the food. The staff was caring, considerate and qualified. One could not ask for better care.

My dad spent his final months at Avalon and it was an excellent experience. The staff is very kind and compassionate and took very good care of him

The staff at the Keller facility has been great in caring for my mother. They genuinely care for her just as they would their own mother. They have been great at communicating with me when any issue arises.

"My late husband received such excellent care at Avalon Memory Care on Boat Club Road in Fort Worth. Every worker was so kind and patient with him and cared for him just as I would have. In conjunction with AllStar Hospice, they did a wonderful job of managing medications to get just the right combination for him. The food was excellent and they played fun music during meals. They also have people come in each week to sing and play music which the residents love. They respond positively to music. I can highly recommend Avalon Memory Care."

I moved my mom in from a larger Assisted Living facility & even though she only lived two weeks at Avalon before she passed away I witnessed a great group of employees who helped her during her last days. She was treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. I saw the staff treat all the residents that way. The staff also kept the facility very clean. Very impressed with Avalon & thankful they were there when needed. Thank you.

Avalon is a smaller community with a less complicated environmental structure inside the home, but it gives just enough and is very comfortable and the colors and tones in the facility were great for those with dementia and sensory issues. The clinical staff in particular [name removed] and her assistant are absolutely incredible in troubleshooting behaviors and thinking outside the box to help accommodate some of those FTD behaviors. They staff accordingly to the needs of the residents and bend over backwards to really help the person be successful in that living arrangement. We are beyond grateful for the extensive care and investment in helping us help our loved one get the best clinical care while there. We've had some really difficult challenges with behaviors from my brother-in-law and they have worked with us day and at night to get him psychiatric help so that he can return back to the facility and gave him another chance. Typically this is when they kick you out and Avalon has worked with us to really try to find The best medication for him so that he can be successful there. They've gone over and beyond for us, we're so grateful.

I am delighted with the experience at Avalon Memory Care. The were able to accept [name removed]on a relatively short notice, the staff at all levels is well trained, experienced, and truly caring. The facility is clean, layered out for maximum safety and comfort of residents and visitors, the food is well prepared and inviting. I can wholeheartedly recommend Avalon Memory Care!

The staff was very good with all the patients. They were patient. They had a large room for meals and socializing. They were confined to their rooms. They did a great job at Thanksgiving with a family dinner.

They text me updates during the day, they sit with my dad and watch tv with him and hold his hand. Yes, we would recommend Avalon Memory Care - Meadow Ranch Road to other families based on the experience so far.

What I found true with Avalon is that most of the staff there genuinely cares about the family and residents. The meals are balanced and healthy and it's very clean. They handled my mom's end of life care with dignity. They have activities including musicians coming in.

They all were extremely accommodating with his unusual set of quirks. They worked with him as to avoid outbursts! They are great!
