Avalon Memory Care

The caretakers at Avalon kept us well-informed and were very kind to our family member. A friend recommended Avalon to us and I would whole-heartedly do the same for any family looking for a caring and competent facility for anyone needing memory care.

I recently visited my cousin at Avalon. I was very pleased to meet some of the staff taking care of her and witnessed their loving and compassionate interactions with her. The food was wonderful and her room was kept tidy and clean. Thank you, Avalon Memory Care, for your thoughtful care.

I would highly recommend the Avalon Memory Care facility because they provide a family home environment with a caring and respectful staff as opposed to a sterile institutional setting which we experienced elsewhere with my husband’s parents. The empathy that the company instills in their staff from the top down is unparalleled.

Avalon is made up of incredible angels who have hidden wings. We brought our father here after a horrible experience elsewhere and we cannot say enough amazing things about the staff at Avalon. They have not only connected with our dad, but most of them even know us (his family) by name! When we arrive to see our father, unless it’s very early or bedtime, they have already gotten him out of bed, showered, dressed and sitting in the TV area with a lot of other residents who are hanging out, watching TV or visiting. Also if you take a walk down the hallways where the rooms are you’ll find most rooms to be picked up, clean and beds made. Our father is in the final stages of Alzheimer’s so we know he’s not ‘there’ but the staff at Avalon still treat him like a respected individual who still matters. He may not know much of what’s going on but I can’t begin to tell you what it does to our hearts to see the unbelievable care the team at Avalon shows him and us.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the outstanding care my mother has received at Avalon Memory Care. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this community prioritizes the well-being and happiness of its residents.

After searching many places we chose Avalon. The workers truly loved and cared for my mom like family, it never smelled, it felt like a home not a facility. I am a very hands-on daughter and was in the facility most days. I Highly recommend Avalon!

I have visited this facility several times and on each visit Avalon has been very very clean, the staff is amazing and very friendly. On my visits I also noticed that the residents are very friendly and seem to be very happy at their home. This is a wonderful place for the staff and the residents.

My grandmother spent her last year as a part of this loving community. They welcomed our entire extended family and became a part of our family as well. The sweet staff went above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure that she was comfortable and happy in addition to attending to her medical and personal care needs. We cannot thank everyone enough for brightening our final year with grandma.

My father was diagnosed with Lewy bodies and Parkinson's. The team at Avalon Memory Care took him in after we were unable to safely support my father at home. [name removed] and team made the registration process very easy and cared well for my father during his stay. They even made life easier for us once my father passed. We feel blessed to have been able to house my father in such a caring environment during his final days on earth.

I am extremely happy with the exceptional care my mother has received at Avalon. The staff is very caring, loving and attentive. I like the small, family like environment and the clean, beautiful facility. They have gone above and beyond my expectations.

I am very happy with the care my sister receives at Avalon. The staff is always caring, patient and kind and attentive to her needs and wants. The facility is clean and neat. What I like the most is the low number of residents that allows more specialized care. She is always clean and has her hair washed and in clean clothes. Dementia is a nasty disease and I don’t wish it on anyone but if you have a loved one that needs this kind of specialized care, I would recommend Avalon Memory Care.

Have had a great experience in placing my loved one. They were very helpful every step of the way and they helped me work through some difficult struggles. Highly recommend these caring people to make this very difficult process as easy as possible.

My experience with Avalon has been completely positive. The staff provided excellent care for my husband during his residence there. They are kind, professional, flexible, and caring. They went above and beyond to help my husband (and me) with the very difficult transition from home to memory care. The facility director is always open to communication with family. He responds very quickly to questions or concerns. The administrative staff in Dallas are very efficient, helpful, and courteous.

My father has been living at Avalon for almost a year now. The director and staff are very well trained to take care of memory care patients and the facility is nice and also clean. But what sets Avalon apart from the rest is they truly care about their residents. They go above and beyond on a daily basis. I really like the open home concept as well, especially the open kitchen. They really do all they can to make their residents feel at home.

My mother was in the later stages of dementia when we brought her to Avalon. She had suffered some neglect at her previous residence. When Avalon evaluated her in that environment, they expressed a desire to take her in so they could care for her. They were so caring - they showed up the next day with their personal vehicles to help move her.

We placed my Mom at Avalon Memory Care in late May and have been very pleased with the care. After touring several other facilities, we felt that Avalon Memory Care provided a more home-like vs an institutionalized environment for our Mom. The ratio of caregivers to residents is higher than at other facilities; the caregivers are attentive and caring, and the owner and the director are responsive to any suggestions for change. We have not seen our Mom be so responsive in years!

We researched several facilities before deciding on Avalon Memory Care for our beloved Aunt and we are very happy with our decision. Avalon provided excellent care and services over many years. We cannot say enough about the knowledgeable and caring administration, nursing, and staff. Our Aunt was very happy with the activities, food, and warm friendly environment. Her room was always immaculate and her every need was cared for.

The place itself is well-maintained, very clean, and always welcoming. Periodically decorations appear and the facility is transformed to reflect the season or holiday. Efforts are made to entertain and engage residents in various activities including therapy for those that are capable. The staff members make a concerted effort to make all the residents feel welcomed and respected. Being local I visit daily and can say without reservation that this was the best placement for my mom. In fact, it was her decision to be there and I cannot be more pleased with her choice. The caregivers are such a blessing to all the residents. God Bless them and the entire staff for such outstanding quality care.
