When they changed management they hired new people who were problematic. One of the staff would yell at my mom, put things where she could not reach them, and took one of her belongings. We moved my mom out of here because she was uncomfortable and not happy. It was not a good experience.

I would not recommend this community to anyone. The dumpsters were disgusting and trash just get thrown everywhere. Some management quit and they are very short-staffed. My loved one was not treated right and we are very disappointed with this community.

I visited my mother in law around 6 months ago. My wife and I noticed how dirty the facility was, sticky floors, a urine stained couch missing a seat cushion in a hallway and trash on the floors. Asked staff to review state of MO inspection reports. By law, they need to show to anyone who asks. They refused and had no idea what I was talking about. Checked out her shared room. Had broken off wall toilet paper holder, no paper anywhere, 2 nom working lights. They then told me to leave or they would call PD.

You would not recommend this community to others, my husband lost a lot of weight in a month and a half, I wouldn't leave my dog here. He had bruises all over from a fall twice in 6 weeks.

Please don’t put your loves here! The staff is very rude. Who ever owned this place needs to clean house. ASAP. Nobody listens to the family members. When we are telling them about our concerns. There is no love , trust, and caring for the people who lives there or the families. Didn’t trust them to take care of my dog.

If I could give negative stars i would. Please do not put your love ones here. The staff does not listen to the family at all. The staff will lie to your face. Avalon at one time felt love and caring. Like a home. But it feels like a prison. The staff will bully the family members if they think they are being rude to them. So if you love your ones please don't put them in Avalon Memory care at McKinney Ranch.

Very rude staff. The owners need to clean house ASAP and start over. The staff doesn’t listen to the families about their love ones. Please don’t put your love ones here. It’s not worth the stress that you as a family member has to go through. The staff doesn’t know how to be caring or understanding about the families concerns about their love ones! Please run from this place!!

On the [date removed] marks the death of my father .He was in Avalons care for three days the staff that has the best care givers in the industry let him fall knowing he was a fall risk from the very beginning ..They waited 24 hours to get a xray machine to find out his hip was broke and died 3 days later. I wished. I had gave my dad for what it cost at Avalon , a private nurse.My dad was a ww2 veteran who fought with the 740th Tank Battalion and served with George Patton. He deserved the best and Avalon was not it !

I felt the need to remove my loved one after only a few days. The staff recommends that you stay away and don't visit for the person to settle in which was fine I understood that. However, the first time I had visited I was extremely upset that the staff had mentioned due to the aggression my loved one displayed they had to medicate him and other serious issues that had occurred which caused me to remove him from there.
