Avalon Memory Care

It is a very nice community. The community is kept small, to make it not feel like an intuition. This also helps in making it more visetable.

When we were trying to move our loved one into the facility, they were able to work with us and wait for our long term insurance to kick in. They let her move in and pro-rated that amount. Once our insurance kicked in we backed paid them.

I would recommend this community to anybody. I believe my loved one got really good care here. This isn't the fanciest places. There was only one bill a month I received for the same amount.

I would tell others to check out the community. The people here are very knowledgeable. The kindness and knowledge of the people I talked to were amazing.

My father was a resident that needed a lot of care and attention. The staff, from management to caregivers, was patient and communicative with us as we were unable to visit inside the facility due to Covid. We were updated on how he was doing regularly. When we were able to visit him outside, he seemed well cared for and was calm and relaxed. It was easy to arrange transportation for dr visits. I am grateful for the care and support we received from Avalon and they did their very best to help us through a difficult journey. I would highly recommend this facility.

The activity director is the best I have seen. The owner and staff really care, they are loving and caring and it truly is a different type of facility. The food was very good and they offer a good variety. I would recommend this facility to others

It is the best place around in my community for your loved one. The food was average to good. The room was very good for my loved one. The staff was very good, and was able to get quick responses to my questions.

From what we can see Avalon Memory Care is kept pretty clean, and the staff members are wonderful. We definitely feel as if we are getting our moneys worth and from our understanding the care services they provided are great. Our loved one is being well taken care of. Based off the pictures they send us, the activities they have to offer seem great.

I am very happy with the care my sister receives at Avalon. The staff is always caring, patient and kind and attentive to her needs and wants. The facility is clean and neat. What I like the most is the low number of residents that allows more specialized care. She is always clean and has her hair washed and in clean clothes. Dementia is a nasty disease and I don’t wish it on anyone but if you have a loved one that needs this kind of specialized care, I would recommend Avalon Memory Care.

We cannot be more pleased with our decision to have our mother at the Avalon location on Butler Hill Rd. This is a family owned and operated company that has been operating for i think about 25 years. I can tell you that the care is very specialized and the staff truly cares. Prior to moving into Avalon, I had my mother in a facility owned by a large company and the staff was not treated correctly and it translated into the quality of care they provided. Avalon on the other hand is awesome!

My mom has been a resident here for 2 years. The staff is loving and attentive and I feel like they really know my mom and her preferences. I’ve always had good communication from the Director, which has given me incredible peace of mind during the COVID pandemic. The two RN’s that are on staff are excellent and very experienced.

Beautiful and friendly. The staff have been healful and present a family forward community. They have beneficial payment plans for those that can afford it.

We just found that the staff were so attentive , so caring, and they were just great. The food looked great and smelled good. We chose this community because we were referred to it by A Place For Mom. I would recommend this community to other families as well.

A Place for Mom introduced us to Avalon. We had to find a place for our mom when the pandemic was going on, so we couldn't visit any facility. Everything was done over the phone and via FaceTime. With other places, we met with the sales director. Most were wonderfully compassionate and just lovely, but just didn't seem to be a fit. When we met with [name removed], we knew we had found the place we wanted for mom. First of all, she is a nurse and totally understood what we were going through. We were moving our mom from a horrible rehab center that treated her like a plant (just fed and watered her) to a long term facility. She gave us a lot of insight on what was going on and what we can and should expect from long term care. Since we were so anxious to get mom out of that place, [name removed] helped us expedite the analysis and got her moved in 2 days and arranged the transportation. When we were introduced to [names removed], any apprehension we had was immediately put at ease. These women and all of the staff at Avalon have been a dream come true for us. They truly treat mom like a family member. We get frequent texts from them showing us pictures of mom. We can text them at any time asking to Facetime with her. They are just unbelievably amazing. She has been there for almost 2 months and the difference in her from when she got there is like night and day. When we FaceTime with her, it's like speaking to our mom again. All the staff come by while we're chatting and say hi to us. She really wants to come home (understandably) and just yesterday, her exact words were "But I have to say, the people here are just wonderful." I thought no one could ever care for her like we could - but I was wrong. If you need a place for your loved one, you truly can't go wrong with Avalon. I would like to wrap them all up in my arms and say thank them!

This is the care facility we chose for my dad's stay while in hospice care with terminal brain cancer. The facility was very comfortable, the staff kind and capable, and the price was competitive with similar facilities in the area. They took good care of him during his last weeks of life.

Many thanks to the hard workers at Avalon Memory Care Arlington! From the beginning they helped me with my brothers care, and even transportation! They always answer and help me right away and I am sure they have many there but they always come through!

I'm a nurse that visits my patients at this facility. In my opinion it's the best in the area. If you're looking for a home for your loved one know that the owner is hands on and takes an interest in what's going on. I give him report on any complaints directly and he's thankful to hear it first hand! THAT is rare.

This place is AMAZING! My resident is so fortunate to be in this facility! I enjoy visiting which includes being invited to join everyone for whatever meal is being served. The direcector [name removed] is responsive to any and all comments about my resident. Such peace of mind to have Avolon!

My husband has been at Avalon for a little more than a year. The staff has been very professional, but, above all, caring in meeting his needs. [Name removed] and [name removed] and their staff provide a home-like environment for their residents, while attending to the different needs each person brings with them. And they continue to meet the challenges that each day brings very professionally and compassionately. It brings peace of mind to know that your loved one is so well cared for when you are no longer able to provide the care they need.

Avalon has been a blessing to our mother after a tragic fracture-filled fall. She also was 9 years into Alzheimer's and our family feared things were over. We had her at a different facility in Allen when the accident first happened and it was a bad experience. She just didn't get the attention she needed. We moved her to Avalon and she has made progress since she arrived 6 weeks ago and we have hope for her to become ambulatory again. This facility is roomy, clean and state of the art. The caregivers are attentive to each patient's individual needs and our family's fears from our last experience are gone. Myself and my entire family recommend Avalon highly and are very thankful that we found them.
