Avalon Memory Care

I am extremely happy with the exceptional care my mother has received at Avalon. The staff is very caring, loving and attentive. I like the small, family like environment and the clean, beautiful facility. They have gone above and beyond my expectations.

My mother was in the later stages of dementia when we brought her to Avalon. She had suffered some neglect at her previous residence. When Avalon evaluated her in that environment, they expressed a desire to take her in so they could care for her. They were so caring - they showed up the next day with their personal vehicles to help move her. My mother’s health was up and down for the 8 months she lived at Avalon. The staff was always caring and helpful - no matter how mean my mom could be at the end. During one hospital stay, they showed up to help feed her. They truly care for their residents. The quality of the facility was worlds above any others that I had toured that were in our price range. Gorgeous accommodations and less residents. I wish I had moved my mom there sooner. But, I am happy that she spent the last 8 months of her life in such a wonderful place.

My father was diagnosed with Lewy bodies and Parkinson's. The team at Avalon Memory Care took him in after we were unable to safely support my father at home. [name removed] and team made the registration process very easy and cared well for my father during his stay. They even made life easier for us once my father passed. We feel blessed to have been able to house my father in such a caring environment during his final days on earth.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They are very caring here and help the resident settle into the community. The staff understand the residents and work very well with them. The communication with the family has been wonderful. The food is enjoyed by my loved one. We are very happy and glad that A Place for Mom connected us with this community.

Good community, not the right fit for my loved one.

We have been very pleased with our experience with Avalon Memory Care. They go out of their way to care for her needs and we really appreciate that. I would absolutely recommend them to other families and already have.

Staff is caring quick to assist as needed. 17 total residents in this house. My husband is always clean, the house doesn't smell, he eating well. House director has been there 10 years-answers questions, is encouraging, "it's the disease" causing these actions (Alzheimer's).

We had a wonderful tour with Avalon Memory Care. The facility is beautiful and extremely clean, you can tell that it is well run. It is a smaller facility and we really liked that. The staff were all great and it was not overpriced. The only issue was that mom would have had a roommate and she was at the end of her life, do that part did not meet what we were looking for.

I liked this community but the prices were on the higher side. They offered a good amount of care and amenities but it was just out of our range for our loved one. The tour was great.

Very friendly staff, attentive to resident and the staff are very interactive. The communication is also very good when I need information on my loved one.

I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. My loved one was only there for here days prior to passing. Even before my loved one was admitted to the community, [name removed], were fantastic in assisting us in making it a smooth transition from the hospital to the community and the care that was needed for my loved one. Avalon was accommodating to assist us in allowing us to visit our loved one during their transition with hospice. They made us feel like we had been there forever and took the time to explain how to handle the transition from the prior community to Avalon and what to expect.

We chose Avalon Memory Care because of the positive ratings, they only had 1 negative review that I saw. Also when I talked to one of the regional managers she was very upfront and honest with me about what to expect and I loved that. The staff members here have all been very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this facility to others who are looking.

I would tell others that we are very pleased with our experience with Avalon. I would highly recommend this as an optional care place in addition to in home care. The communication with the staff was good with the family.

We chose Avalon Memory Care because of the location of the facility and they had availability when we needed it. The room sizes are great. They do offer a lot of activities and always have something going on. The staff to resident ratio is great and staff members know everybody by name. They are good with communication to families as well. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Our family was able to have an in person tour and it was great. The community was right down the street from us so it was very convenient. It was a smaller facility, but for some reason we just did not feel like it was going to be the best fit.

We chose Avalon Memory Care because of the location of the facility and they were very quick to respond and get us in. The room sizes here are huge. The food is chef prepared meals and they are great. They do a pretty good job with the activities here with the different levels. I think administrative staff is right on. They are quick to respond, quick to call if anything happens, and the staff is right there with them. It is a very small community and I would recommend to other looking and already have.

The staff members have been wonderful, and always very helpful. Anytime there are any issues or problems that come up they try to fix the issue very quickly. We do think they could boost up the meals a little bit more. Also when it comes to the value for cost, for what we are paying we think they should offer a little more services or amenities.

Our loved one was only there for a couple of weeks before he passed, so unfortunately we were not able to experience everything they had to offer. However, the staff there are truly amazing. They were just fabulous, and so sweet. We have actually stayed in touch with them, and we plan to volunteer at the community. They are just such wonderful people, they will forever remain our friends.

We are so happy with Avalon Memory Care. We chose them because of the convenient location and I went to visit and the owners sold me. Initially I was not able in because of covid and they were so helpful and hands on. They get them moving everyday in whatever way they can. They have been very careful of covid yet considerate of the family which I appreciate. I was able to visit during the midst of covid with an n95 mask and bi weekly covid testing. We are now able to visit in my moms room without our masks since we are fully vaccinated. The staff members have gone above and beyond and it was even better than what we were looking for and I do not ever worry about my mom or the care that she is receiving. I would highly recommend to others looking, especially if your loved one needs more memory care.

The staff is very nice. It is a good place for your loved one to be. The care, staff, and the community itself all make it a nice place to be. The communication with the staff is responsive with answers to my questions or concerns for my loved one.
