Too high rent increases but nice place. Probably too far from Livermore where my Mom is set up with new health care providers. I liked this place the best so far but it is too expensive and not close to Livermore.

This place is small, about 160 residents is just about the most beautiful I have ever seen. The daily cost includes three meals and the chef is outstanding. It is located in the city but in a very nice location, off the beaten path. I would highly recommend it to anyone, This a senior living center not a nursing facility.

This is a beautiful and well-maintained property. When I arrived for a tour, I very much appreciated that [name removed] first gave me an overview of the community . It is composed of 3 residential buildings (each with its own courtyard) separated by outdoor walkways from the lobby building where the main community activities take place. She likened this community to a luxury cruise ship, an apt description.

We loved this community! We were almost immediately welcomed by a volunteer resident ambassador who gave us some of the “inside scoop” on living here. The apartments are simple but have lots of well-designed details, including built-in shelves for displaying photos or other special items and a rubber shower edge and built-in shower seat. The public spaces are beautiful, comfortable and inviting.

What I thought would be a weeks-long visit to New York City to visit Assisted Living Facilities in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens turned into a immediate need to place my father within a 72-hour time frame. Although Atria Kew Gardens was one of my planned visits, out of necessity it became my first visit. After meeting with staff, touring the facility, and the memory care wing, I knew that I needed to look no further. My perception of what an assisted living facility versus the reality of Atria Kew Gardens could not have been any more divergent. I knew that I had found a place where my father would be safe, clean, comfortable, and well-cared for in all respects. As a complete novice in know what to look for in a facility. The one thing I knew I did not want was a "mom & pop" facility where the residents sat in their room or a common room all day doing nothing. The Atria is a large organization and is well-established in their engagement programs. The residents are continually engaged both mentally and physically. The facility reminded me of a 5-star hotel and it is how I describe it to family and friends in California. This place is not perfect by any stretch. I did had some growing pains in the 1st week as I learned who to contact on a variety of concerns and issues (day-to-day routine, billing, medical care, grooming needs etc). In the 1st week as well, staff had to quickly learn the capabilities and behavior of my father. We managed to work through those issues fairly quickly and had within the 1st month an excellent rapport. A highly recommend for anyone was has a love once with dementia or related issues.

The staff was very friendly, competent, and "non-institutional" The total atmosphere was very "Homey" We liked the 1br deluxe for its roominess. We loved the flexibility of the dining rm and our pie alamode was wonderful! as was our discussion with [name removed]. Our concern was location, location... We would prefer living in S. Sac or Elk Grove where some of [name removed]'s children & mine live

Place was really nice. Lots of amenities, vibrant residents, well run, clean and organized. May not work as well though due to M-F "happy hour" time. The memory care also feels more isolating.

I must commend and thank everyone for their fantastic work during the recent "lock down" at the facility. My 96 your old aunt was well taken care of the whole time. THANK YOU TO ALL EMPLOYEES

My mother voluntarily moved from her house where she lived alone to her apartment in Atria Kinghaven in March . She told me she was just going to check it out and didn’t plan to make any decisions until summer. Well, everyone and the facility were so nice, she made an appointment to sign up. She seems very happy with her new place. She likes the food and more importantly likes the fact she is not eating alone. She tells me she hasn’t had time to get too involved with activities because she is “cleaning out the house” to sell it. However, she is looking forward to getting more involved as soon as the house sells. She currently has her car but may be giving it up once she doesn’t have to go back to the house so often. She thinks the cost of living at Atria Kinghaven is about the same as living in her home in Bridgwater. She is saving money that was spent on taxes, HOA fees, grocery shopping, home maintenance and utilities. And she doesn’t have to worry about finding a handyman or housekeeper. From my point of view , she made a very good decision.

Atria at Marina Place is absolutely the best choice in a senior care community for my parents. The staff....... administration, reception, medical support team, housekeeping, dining service, maintenance...... go above and beyond to care for them. They make themselves visible and available at all times. They each make my parents feel supported and cared for. The daily activities and entertainment are top notch. The building is gorgeous, clean, bright, cheery and beautifully decorated. It is located in scenic Marina Bay. They just truly helps me sleep at night knowing that my parents are so well cared for. From my heart, thank you.

Parents were very happy here for many years, and now they are being very helpful as we move my mom to an Atria in Florida

Very nice it is high on my list but does cost a lot. It has assisted living and independent living so you get the combination of both

#1 choice right now. The only problem is they don't have any 1BR in Assisted Living, only Studios.

I was impressed. they have kitchenets and decent size studio apartments. Also a good location for me. I will consider Atria Del Rey when I complete the sale of my home.

This is the best facility so far. I like the balcony and swimming pool. Pricing is reasonable. Activities are interesting.

Dad really liked this one, especially the atmosphere and the people. He liked how organized they seemed, and that so many residents came up and talked to him.

Like many families, when we first visited Atria, we were going through a time of loss and transition. We were rather numb and overwhelmed when we met [name removed]. I can't say enough how kind and gentle she was, clear about our options, and supportive with checking in during the 15 months it took to get our affairs in order and move my Mom, [name removed], from Massachusetts. Mom settled in nicely and often mentions how safe she feels at Atria, how attractive it is, and how well-designed her small apartment is. She loves the activities. Margaret Shand creates an interesting, complex and stimulating schedule. She is also very happy with the food and appreciates [name removed], the head chef, who is very open and personable. We also particularly enjoy [name removed] at the front desk, who is welcoming and always has something interesting to discuss. I cannot say enough how fortunate I feel to have my mother at Atria, especially since I am her number one person and travel often for work. Coincidentally, I have another "mother" now living at Atria, a woman I have known since I was five years old. I saw her in the hallway yesterday and she looked more relaxed, vibrant, and youthful than I have seen her in years. When I asked how it is all going, she said, in a nutshell, "I love everything about Atria."
