This assisting living facility is very deceiving. It is new and facility looks nice however the staff and management are terrible. There are a few good nurses and care partners but the majority are very unfriendly and not helpful. The Director ignores all of your concerns and does not feel he needs to follow-up on care. The care partners are very unfriendly and do not go out of their way to help. When you ask them for assistance they completely ignore you.I would beware of the facility as it looks nice on the outside but the care is mediocre and the staff is very unfriendly. The care partners do not help with meals such as cutting the residents food or assisting with feeding if necessary.Just Beware.

Artis in general as a whole has a great philosophy one that everyone should live by. However once behind those door it's a different story the employee and managers are so far from the Artis way it's a true shame my heart goes out to the residents and their families.

changed staff within few weeks of entry. unkept room. poor in house physicians. new staff rude, rarely see any caretakers around. nurse couldn't answer any questions.

My husband was scheduled to move in and when I took exception to the fact that he would be eating in the same dining room as two women who were screaming at the top of their lungs, I asked if there other rooms available, and they said yes but were unwilling to show me the other room. They then me that I would have to be there to see the other room the next day, which I could not do due to a very lengthy dentist appt. in DC, at which point they told me to come on Wednesday and pick up his things or they were going to put them outside the building and would be responsible for them They have $17,000 of our money and have not returned any of it, after telling me they would and were sending me a checking the next day.
