Artis in Yardley is a terrible place. When residents complained about how cold the AC was, they were ignored. The head of nursing [name removed] is a nasty person. My husband was miserable at Artis. I would NOT recommend this place.

Have had my wife there for over a year. In the last two to three months it has gone downhill drastically. You've gotten rid of a couple of administrators did not replace them. The general help known as AIDS or insufficient lazy non-conforming people. For what this place charges , they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves people that are left there should be given a discount. There's a few very good nurses still work there but the rest of the staff and help are horrible. You try to talk to some of the help about it and all they say is they're going through a transition time. If this one a transition time looks like then they should be discounting their fees The quality of care does not match what they're charging. I will certainly be looking for another place for my wife.

It's way overpriced and management is not responsive to concerns. If you or your loved one are incontinent, they do not address that. Some of the staff are caring and do their jobs well, but there's not enough of them to make up for terrible management and out of control expenses. The rent went from $[fee removed] to almost[fee removed] in less than a year (per month). Cannot recommend.

As you can see we had a horrendous experience at Artis. We were told that they serve a meditarean style food. Since my husband was diabetic we were happy about that. During the 2 weeks we kept him there I went several times during meals. He was served hot dogs on white buns, potato chips and juice. That's just one lunch. I mentioned to the staff that he was diabetic and they said they would keep an eye on what he was eating. The lunches didn't improve. The final day we left him there he had gone to bed with just the bottom sheet. They said the rest of his bedding was at the laundry , they were clean and folded on a counter. Every time my son or I stopped by he was sitting on the side of the bed with his head hanging. Needless to say I have nothing positive to say. If your loved one has dementia they can't fend for themselves and they're left alone. My son took him out of the facility and nobody said anything. It was only the next day that they called to ask if he was coming back. My husband died peacefully at home in October. He was miserable there. Please don't recommend it to anyone who needs to be taken care of.

This use to be a wonderful place for a family member. Over the last several years I have seen a sharp decline. They are short staffed, have a high turnover of staff and leadership and seem to not be up to date on what residents need or are scheduled for. Unfortunately this is no longer the place for us.

Understaffed. They do not employ CNAs. They have 2 “care partners” per 18 residents. Not enough. Lack of supervision on weekends and at night. Director of Nursing worked relaxed office hours. Even during a Covid break out, she was MIA. Director of location was like a used car sales guy. She put pressure on before we even moved in. Loud mouth and very aggressive. After Thanksgiving, they allowed COVID to spread throughout facility. It was only after I learned from resident Covid was in the building did they put up visible sign on front door, but it was partially covered by Holiday wreath. I observed Residents who were crawling on the floor, walking bear foot and my poor mom was regularly left in her room alone. I paid extra for incontinence care and on several occasions her room stunk of urine and she was very wet. I got into screaming matches with the Director of Nursing who challenged me about my concerns about my mom’s wet pull-ups. So not worth the cost.

I have nothing good to say about Artis. My husband is virtually non verbal and has uncontrolled diabetes as well as Alzheimer's. We were told they serve a Mediterranean diet. In the 2 weeks he was there I witnessed 2 lunches they served him. One consisted of breaded fish with french fries and creamy cole slaw. If I hadn't been there they would have given him fruit punch to drink. The other lunch consisted of a hot dog on a plain white bun with canned beans and potato chips. I had visited him on a Fri. afternoon and his bed had only the plastic mattress protector on it. There was a sheet in the closest. They said everything was in the laundry. When I went back the next day his bed had just a sheet on it. When I questioned a helper they found his comforter in the laundry room folded up (clean) on a counter. I left the place in tears. We removed him from the facility later that day.

My mom was previously a resident at Artis. When she needed help, only certain staff would help. One time, someone even said no and sat down and went on their phone.

Artis of Eatontown looks lovely and you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Guaranteed by staff the cost wouldn’t exceed [removed] per month even when total care required. We now pay $[removed] a month. Staff is always short and level of care promised is not fulfilled. Countless days 4 to 10 hours passed with no checks when resident is on hourly checks. Staff dropped resident on floor and began chastising him. This wasn’t reported to Dr or family nor was he checked for injuries by Artis. All on video camera. Resident lost 30 lbs in 11 months so nutritional supplement was ordered by dr. Three different LPN’s signed that resident received supplement. Not true. I supply supplement and date bottles. Resident was left for hours in urine saturated undergarments. Resident showed signs of UTI - 14 days went by and no urine specimen retrieved by nurse in charge. I got one in 5 minutes. Everything stated above is either documented or on video.

DO NOT! Put your loved on at ARTIS IN LEXINGTON,MASSACHUSETTS. The staff is mean, cruel, and have 0 compassion. PLEASE, they don’t care! $[removed] a month for a bed and a I DONT GIVE A CRAP ATTITUDE FROM THE STAFF-HORRENDOUS

My loved one was a resident of the Artis until they were dumped with out so much as a meeting. The way we were treated was horribly dehumanizing and rude. It was honestly a traumatic experience. This place is obviously a business and runs as such. The leadership team is really terrible, they have no activities for residence and they do not train their staff adequately or responsibly. I would not recommend this place to anyone, certainly not someone you love.

I toured here and the executive director that runs the placed looked as if she just rolled out of bed and came to work. Her hair was a mess.I don't know if she is just over worked or just having a bad day but this is not a good look. Not to mention the smell of urine that almost made me puke when we were walking past a resident that needed his clothes and diaper changed. The place was so dirty!

I would NOT recommend this facility!!! My dad was there for several years and died infested with scabies. It was passed on to my 85 year old mom and the facility denied any wrong doing. We filed a notice with the state. We spoke to another resident's family a few months after my dad died and their family had also contracted scabies. The staff who took care of my dad in the back was absolutely wonderful. Can't say enough good things about them. The management is another story.

My loved one and I toured Artis Senior Living of West Shore, and if it was up to me I would've turned back around as soon as we walked in. It was more geared towards memory care, but the community had an off-ness sense to it and it felt strange. We both got a weird vibe, which freaked me out. They lock people in and we didn't like anything about the place. We chose another community because this was not a good fit and my loved one expressed that she didn't want to live here.

They were not ready to deal with Alzheimer's patients as of June 2018.

My loved one was at this facility for over one year. The AC never functioned properly. The director of the facility admitted it did not function properly from day one. As of [date removed], the AC was still not fixed. Other problems: smelly, filthy, stained carpet, residents walking around soaked in urine, nursing mistakes. If I could give it a zero stars, I would. Management also tells people their loved ones' brains are broken.

This place is terrible always a shortage of staffs family members feel obligated to helping out.

Our experience with Artis has been extremely painful and our loved one has declined rapidly since he has joined this facility.

They are untrustworthy. Sure the building is shinny & new, but only half of the employees really care about their job, the other are just there for the paycheck. The administrator doesn’t know what he is doing & it shows through his terrible, loud, disrespectful employees. I have visited there during many different timeframes, of course during the day it’s cheerful, but evenings & weekend are another story. The “care partners” believe they can act & do whatever they please, that includes confronting and accusing family members of petty stuff. It’s seriously not properly run there. It’s sad, but we’re almost out!!!

This assisting living facility is very deceiving. It is new and facility looks nice however the staff and management are terrible. There are a few good nurses and care partners but the majority are very unfriendly and not helpful. The Director ignores all of your concerns and does not feel he needs to follow-up on care. The care partners are very unfriendly and do not go out of their way to help. When you ask them for assistance they completely ignore you.I would beware of the facility as it looks nice on the outside but the care is mediocre and the staff is very unfriendly. The care partners do not help with meals such as cutting the residents food or assisting with feeding if necessary.Just Beware.
