Artis Senior Living

I think overall Artis is a good facility. The staff is friendly and helpful and seem concerned for the patients. They are also kind and considerate to family members. The building is attractive and well kept, but also has a nice homey feeling. My biggest concern is the fact that caregivers are shuffled from unit to unit. I understand this will occur from time to time. However, patients with dementia need continuity. All in all I am happy with Artis and feel content with my loved one residing here.

I enjoyed my tour of this community. It is a nice facility with kind people. I toured it for my mother, and her needs. My tour went well. The community looked nice from what I saw. The staff I met was helpful, and my questions were answered. The only issue I had was there was not any showers in the rooms, and I didn't think this would be the right fit for my mother.

Artis is managed by females, who are more attuned to the care needs of others, in my opinion, than males (disclosure: I am male). Staff are well trained and friendly at all levels. It is clean and odorless. Staff welcomes the input and feedback of family members, and builds a program for each resident that reflects his or her interests and personality.[Removed]

This place is new and absolutely beautiful. I really liked how Artis Senior Living is setup in small communities to make staying their feel like home. Everyone was very friendly. Unfortunately we could not place my family member there. They said they would not be able to accommodate the level of care.

Things are going well so far. My father in law is adjusting to living at this community. He had made friends and they offer daily activities. He is not always fond of the food as it can be hit or miss. This is an one level community that has a homey feel to it.

I'am very pleased with my husbands move to this community. The staff is very nice, and they do a good job with the cleanliness of the community. Everything working out well so far, and I would recommend this community.

I was not able to take a tour of this facility due to time constraints. From information I received and in talking to the Artis representative, the community looked like a very nice and modern place. This is a newer facility and, if I remember correctly, it is memory care only. They didn't allow pets, and I didn't see a home setting that would let my mom be comfortable.

This is a really nice community, and I was pleased with my mothers respite stay experience. It is a fairly new community, so everything is spotless. The staff is good, they were kind, and friendly. I knew she was safe, and in good hands. I would recommend this community, and also return for another respite stay experience. It is a great facility.

In the beginning my dad enjoyed the activities that were provided. Now he feels like it is repetitive and we notice not many seniors participate. However, everything so far is fine. It is definitely clean within the community and his room is kept nice too. I don's smell any lingering odors and items have not been misplaced. The meals could improve, he feels it is average tasting with substitutions available.

Things are going pretty well since my loved one made the move to this place. The facility is brand new so they have their flaws currently. The food is served cold and they are short staffed. Also they staff has not learned their routines yet and are still getting used to the place. The complex is nice and well taken care of but the care could use some work.

We went to this community for a tour. The memory care unit is what we saw. They showed us a room. you opened a door and there was a bed and a bathroom. It was not like an apartment. They showed us how she could not get out. It was a very secured facility. They did all they can for the tour.

This facility is designed with 4 neighborhoods ~ each with a theme and nicely decorated. (Beach ~ Victorian) Each neighborhood had its own dining room and gathering space. Each single bedroom has its own toilet, but the shower was down the hall and shared by the patients in the neighborhood. (I didn't care for this set-up because older people can have infections or accidents.) The staff was friendly, informative and answered my questions. There was an enclosed back yard with a path for walkers or wheelchairs. From what I saw everything appeared to be well maintained. It is a nice place, but not the place for us.

We toured this community for my mother in law and her needs. The community looked nice and well maintained. The staff was kind and friendly. I didn't think this community would be able to provide the type of caring my mother in law needed. It was a good tour, this is a nice community.

I toured here when I was looking for options. It looked very nice, but they weren't opening before I needed to make the move so we didn't choose this community.

Excellent programs, middle of the spectrum, very clean.

I liked this community a lot. The one draw back was that I did not like the accommodations. The room itself was really tiny and sterile feeling. The lady I met with was very confident and knowledgeable but I just felt like the accommodations were very stark.

This was a nice community, and they had a gym and more. I wouldn't mind going here if it was me. But for my loved one another community worked better.

Having the outdoor area is very nice. The rooms are always clean and the food is adequate. Staff is friendly and seem to care. No imagination in activities. They do not try to tailor the activities to the functional or interest level of the individuals. Not enough aides to help residents with activities or even bring the residents to the activities. Very little encouragement for the residents to be more engaged. There is a "let them be" attitude. Maybe that is what some people think is the best. But I believe the more people are engaged the happier they will be.

I am told that clothing being missing happens in all of the facilities. When I go to see my aunt, there are hardly ever any clothes in her closet. They cannot find her glasses. They cannot find the remote for her tv. I'm paying $[removed]a month for a tv she cannot watch. I am paying extra for depends when I sent her there with two dozen pairs of panties. When you ask the staff about it, they say that she gives her stuff away. Need I say more??? The people that run the place are very nice and the staff are always pleasant.
