Artis Senior Living

I have been a nurse for 35 years and I'm a "tough sell" when it comes to anything related to healthcare. I did not know places like Artis existed. It is truly wonderful! The fact that the entire facility is memory care. Other places were nice but the "memory care units" were small areas. Artis has different neighborhoods, each neighborhood has its own TV room and dining so there are not more than 14 residents per neighborhood. Residents can go to other neighborhoods as well. They have the run of the place. And the staff are amazing. Very attentive and the place is extremely clean. My Mom and I feel blessed to have found such a place. And like I said, I am a nurse with a PhD and been a nurse 35 years.

Our family loves Artis Senior Living and based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their senior loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour with and I thought Artis was Amazing! So well thought out for dementia residents! Rate a 5 on the building, care teams, activities and even making a favorite recipe from home for the residents now and then! Fabulous!

So far things are good. It's it a great place. From what I have seen, the food looks good. The activities are great, and they have them dailiy. They bring in a lot of different things, such as coloring, and music. You get what you pay for, and it's worth it. The residents have the freedom to go in, and out to get sunshine, and fresh air. Everyone has a private room, which is important.

Based on the experience we have had so far, we would rate all categories 5 stars - Artis Senior Living is a great place! I was lucky to have found them and they are within a few minutes from our condo. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour with Artis Senior Living and it was a nice tour experience overall but they had no availability when we were ready to move in and it was not quite a top contender.

Thry are very professional, friendly and helpful. They really watch what goes on with the patients. Location and dementia care has a lot to do with the selection. There is excellent interaction with staff.

I recently toured the facility for a placement for dad and found the employees to be very attentive towards the people who live in facility. Everyone was friendly. The activity going on had lots of residents. I loved the big courtyard. The third floor had a nice art studio. The facility was very nice.

Everyone who works there is so friendly with each other and of course all of the residents. The place is beautifully appointed and very calming. Have only positives to say about Artis in Somers.

What we really like about the Artis Senior Living community is their caring staff team, the facility setup as a whole and the activities. For the activities the residents can do bingo, arts and crafts, music as well as dancing.

We looked at 8 options before choosing Artis Wilmette for my Dad. The big reasons we chose Artis over the other local places for memory care are: 1. This facility is all memory care, all the time. Memory patients are the sole focal point and get all of the attention. 2. Activities happen here, all day. Staff works to get and keep residents involved. Other places promised “great activities, all day” yet there were no activities happening and the posted schedules were light. 3. The number of residents is larger than the other memory facilities we visited. The size initially concerned me but it’s good. The population is broken down into smaller “neighborhoods” for meals, meds, care, etc… but the larger aggregate population ensures a greater number of residents at different stages of disease. One facility we visited had capacity for 18, with 13 in residence and 8 bed/wheelchair bound. It was a lovely place, but not right for a more active patient (IMO). Hope this helps someone!

Reasons that we chose Artis Senior Living of Briarcliff Manor over some other places that we had previously looked into: -Excellent care -Caring staff -Organized -Clean -Full schedule of activities for residents I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for memory care.

Our family had an in person tour with Great Falls Assisted Living and based on everything we saw and everyone we were able to speak with, we had a great tour experience.

I do not really have any experience with the food. The facility is very expensive (as most are). Overall based off of our experience so far, I would recommend Great Falls Assisted Living to others looking for memory care.

I toured Artis Senior Living of Branford and it was a great visit! The facility is close to home, but could not accommodate all of my loved one's needs. I would definitely recommend this facility for other friends or family.

[Name removed] CDP Director of Marketing went above and beyond helping us during the placement of my loved one in [date removed]. Once settled my loved one saw the activities going on (bowling I think) and my loved one left us, walked in, and joined the fun. This seems to be their favorite part of their day. My loved one eats everything served but you can request other menu options but I noticed most residents take what is served. There is a nurse and Aides assigned to each wing and they are very good to answer or find someone to answer any questions about your family member. The nurse director is very involved with residents, staff, and families. This is a closed memory care facility and safety is a priority and well maintained. They also have a secured walking trail outside. Compared to other facilities visited this was the best fit for my loved one.

We chose Artis Senior Living of Lakeview because the price was affordable, the building was relatively new, and the staff and residents were smiling. When you go to visit, everyone is smiling and that is what sticks out most.

Keeping good personnel is a concern in all facilities. The Neighborhood Coordinator is first-rate. [name removed] returns calls quickly . She is caring and experienced. The facility is super clean due to excellent leadership from [name removed], always a smile on his face. The Activity Director (name removed) offers variety and effort. I would highly recommend this facility.

We chose Artis Senior Living of Yardley because of the newness, setup and cleanliness of the facility. And the marketing director ([name removed]) was not just a salesperson. She was very knowledgeable about dementia and addressed all our questions and concerns. (It was a new and startling diagnosis for us and she spent time with us answering our questions.) We could not be more pleased! My father-in-law is very happy there. Everyone there knows him and have nothing but nice things to say about it. They really care.

This is a great community. The community and staff feel it is the residents' home and treat it as such. Everything is nice and neat. There is laundry service that is included for the residents. The community smells wonderful. They welcome visitors and have family events we are able to attend. The staff communication with the family is great! They are responsive to our questions in person, via email or phone. This is a huge plus for us. There are there are three meals a day. There is a menu for the residents to choose three options from. If the residents doesn't care for the items offered the residents can choose a standby option. There is a full kitchen if the residents would like to fix some themselves as well.
