Administration is not very good about communication when we had issues but was very quick to collect money even if money was collected erroneously. Twice they collected funds erroneously in excess. Administration does not seem to care about concerns addressed with requests for increased level of care. We ended up hiring a private sitter service to cover the additional care that was needed for dad PCA staff did not stick to shower schedule or any other schedules needed to assist with ADLs. Family would need to do this when we visited or this was done by sitter service that we hired I would encourage folks to look for other options before settling with holly court. holly court was not terrible but we had higher expectations based on what was presented to us during our tour with them

First impressions were tolerable. There is some room for improvement with attention to details. They are friendly on the intake, yet disrespectful in communication. They lump their tenants in the same category as though they have no feelings or sensibility of how to be treated to maintain dignity. Administrative staff is the root of mediocrity. Profits outweigh the promise of proper care. The food is also reflective of profits over healthy, dietary choice; hot dogs and rice and potatoes are a sure path to diabetes. Activities are decent maybe worthy of a four rating. It is a diminishing value for the money because they make up ways to up-charge for standard care services. Also, their turnover rate is so high that it is difficult to know who their staff is from month to month. it is good for emergency situations like homelessness ( which was my experience ) where the parent(s) need to recover from exposure but not for someone looking for respectable, honorable care.

The place has gone down and cannot keep staff right now. They can improve by getting staff.

Hard to reach Administrative staff. Location and price and activities stuck out.

The administrative staff who runs this place are corrupt liars. They gave us a key and let us move in and never gave us paperwork of terms and conditions. Then when we moved my loved one out because there was a bug problem and the cleaners kept dragging a urine soaked mop across her floors, they told us we'd get a refund in 45 days then waiting until beyond 45 days to tell me there would be no refund at all because we didn't put in a two week notice. They said this was in the sign on paper work but when I asked for a copy or to have it emailed to me, they never produced that. They operate off of word of mouth and their words hold no weight. Absolutely corrupt. And they never gave my loved one a mailbox key.

Quality of care seemed to rate at a 3 because there were many staff changes. And an unresolved racial complaint that was troubling from a victimized resident about a hired? Or assigned resident 'acting' staff person. This acting resident claims to be a maintenance man and has used this title to gain entry into my moms' space without cause. Administrative Staff is still in need of some organizational help. The food is descent but needs more living plant foods plus sides with nutrient content (fried fish & processed potatoes is not nutritious). Activities were quite appropriate "5" This has been my assessment for the time I've been there admitting both parents.

Poor response to plumbing problems Electrical problems etc When something goes wrong on a weekend my Mother has to live in it till Monday Because the facility won't send anyone out on the weekend

Right now we're not too happy with Holly Court. The dishwasher is out so they've been serving meals on Styrofoam or paper player with plastic forks. The food is not good, it include hot dogs, fish sticks, etc.. My loved one has had diarrhea since moving there in [date removed]. Every time I go which is almost everyday at different times I find our loved one in a poop filled diaper. Most of the staff are lovely people. Absentee management.

I picked Lafreniere because of the price, and because they had immediate availability.

Lafreniere Assisted Living and Memory Care community could be cleaner, but we do like that the staff members care for the residents there.

The Pines Retirement Center could improve on a lot. The Pines needs to be more attractive when people come in. Needs admission with smile so people feel welcome. Needs Social Work that's helps people. A consular to talk with people to help them express needs.. All works on floor needs different uniforms with name tags to know who they are and what they do. Have works standing around not doing anything wasting time and money. Admin needs less paper and listen when someone wants to talk a minute with him. Activities are in bad shape. it needs to include everyone and give paper in morning to remind ones that are able to come. They love Bingo that lasts awhile and get small prizes. This opinion is mine plus about 10 residents and hope it helps to improve.

Our family had an in person tour with Holly Court Assisted Living and the tour experience was just okay, the price was comparable to what we'd been paying. the rooms were kind of small and they had a strange layout.

Lafreniere is an okay place for the price paid. The staff needs improvement in dealing with people. Poor customer service. Poor attention to tenants. Mom says she's okay. She has made some friends.

Good community, didn't feel like the right fit for my loved one.

It's not the best and definitely not the worst. They are eating sandwiches all the time or the food is not cooked right or overly spiced. Sandwiches for lunch and dinner seems like too much. They are short staffed. They are having trouble finding anyone to come to work. Some of the staff are absolutely wonderful. They treat her good. The management staff seems great and very on top of things. The maintenance man has the best attitude I have ever seen.

This is a great value for the money and the convenient location with a number of amenities at this community. They have all sorts of activities like onsite bingo, trips to the casino and more for the residents to do to stay busy here. The staff are very caring but there seems to be a lot of turnover right now at this community. The tour was good and they gave me everything that we needed. It was a great experience and we choose it over a lot of other locations due to the tour and caring staff.

Based on my tour...The staff is very nice and knowledgeable, Newer facility, Small ratio of staff to residents, okay activities(music could be more diverse) Very expensive with no additional amenities/care. There was an unpleasant odor

They advertise that they go and check on the residents every 2 hours and that wasn't happening. This is a nice place if you are more independent, if you need any assistance at all this isn't a good place for them. They have lots of activities like the music and they let you bring in your pets. They have restaurant style dining. The gal in the salon was nice while my Aunt got her hair done. It is really close to family so we could go visit often.I would recommend this place only if you can get around.

My brother was very excited to be moving here.We had invested time moving his furnishings in however right before he was scheduled to move in he fell and broke his hip. He had to spend time in the hospital then onto the rehab place for an additional time. The staff at The Atrium were extremely understanding and nice at the time.
