Overall we are very happy! The apartment is dated however my mother in law doesn't cook or anything so it's not an issue. That's the reason I gave 4 instead of 5, staff is very attentive and friendly and always call us if there is an issue. Very happy we made the move. My mother-in-law was hesitant to move because she felt she was fine in a apartment by herself however we noticed she just sat and watched tv and had no interaction besides us. Moving her to Lafreinere has been such a blessing! She is safe in her own apartment but just outside her door trained personnel are there if she needs anything. She has adjusted now and is participating in the events and games they offer and we are resting easy knowing she is in a safe environment!

My complaints may be just related to me and our situation, they are specifically assisted living and my loved one has some dementia. They are not credited for memory care, so they do not provide additional care for people who they have like my loved one. They expect residents to be a little more independent than my loved one is, even though they claim to handle that care. I saw something recently that the residents do and they are still having problems with cold food. Overall we have not been very happy with the experience so far.

This community was okay. There wasn't really anything that jumped out to me with this community.

Our family really liked this community when we first went to look at it, we would recommend the Lafreniere Assisted Living and Memory Care to others.

[name removed] was very helpful and able to answer my questions. The facility was clean and didn’t smell bad like most similar places do which was a plus. Definitely considering this sa a place for my mom.

We had a few questionable moments at this community, but overall they were very patient with our loved one. The rooms were nice about a five out of five, and we would recommend this community to others.

I would recommend Amber Terrace. The community is clean, up to date, and lots of activities for the residents to participate in. It is a large community, this being the only draw back. The managing staff is considerate, easy to reach, and speak to.

Beautiful place. Very large,, almost too large. I worry about Dad getting around in such a big facility. Very clean, wonderful staff. Ms. Jeri is always available and is very very sweet! Residents seem comfortable and are dressed nicely/made up nicely.

Various sizes of apartments available was good. People were friendly as was staff. Good choice of activities. Only negative was assigned dining seating and several dining rooms based on apartment location. Great location and convenient to everything! Mom was impressed and the visit changed her mind as far what “assisted living” can be.

We had a nice tour of this community. It is a nice looking community, everything looked great. Our tour was kind, and helpful. Everything went well overall, but I did find another community that met our needs better.

We were very excited to find this community we knew it was going to be a good match to mom. She loves interacting with the residents which she has made some very good friends. The staff is wonderful very friendly and attentive they show a guanine concern for all the residents. Mom participates in activities and is loving them. The food is great well prepared. The community is clean and well maintained.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my mother since she has made the move into this community. The staff are all genuine people and I love the compassion they share with all of the residents. I am pleased to see them meeting all of my mothers needs and making sure she is comfortable in her new living environment. She has had no issues with the meals and enjoys participating in the activities from time to time with the other residents. Overall we are happy and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have no complaints about the care my mother has been receiving at this community. The staff have been friendly and helpful to her and have helped her make a smooth transition. The meals and activities have also been wonderful and helping her interact with the other residents a little more. Overall we are pleased and are looking forward to how things will go in the future.

Nice place within my budget, there is a problem with telling my Mom to put on her oxygen machine. Administrator could not understand on the phone the process with the oxygen machine. She had a block. Declined because of the oxygen machine.

Overall I think Amber Terrace is a very nice place. The staff seems friendly, the facility is clean, and they do a great job looking out for the residents. My only concern is that I think they seem a little understaffed, especially during the evening and nighttime hours.

The facility and employees are very nice. My mother is happy there.

The community is clean and well taken care of. The main issue we have is that there is only a nurse on duty twice a day to give out medications and mom requires some treatments more than this. The staff are nice, however I do not think mom is being reminded to take care of her personal needs. They offer activities for her to enjoy and the food is good.

I am very pleased with my new living environment, the staff have all been so friendly and welcoming on helping me make the transition into the community. I have no complaints about the meals and my room is very comfortable. I do recommend they have more organization on handling my mail.

My mom moved in on August 4. So far, the Atrium has been a pleasant experience with a few hiccups. A new Executive Director came on board a few weeks ago and began changing the hours of the workers. As a result, 5 of her staff quit. They are beginning to hire new people, but in the meantime, the service has fallen due to the short staff. My Mom was not receiving the 24/7 level of care we are paying for and we are keeping a close look to see if it improves. The food is very good and they have very nice activities for the people there. Also, my mom is African American and the current hairdresser does not know how to give her a relaxer for her hair. I talked to her and she has offered to help me find one in the area, which I appreciate. I am confident that all will work out in a satisfactory manner.
