They include comprehensive pricing and have all specialties or medical care visiting the sites on a monthly basis. I would recommend if it fits the budget.

Overall things have gone very well at Birchwood Suites! It's a nice looking clean facility, and the staff have all been very friendly. The only issues we've run into has been trouble getting my loved one to take her medication. I'm not sure how much they're allowed to do to make sure she takes it, but I know it is something they've been working on and I think they're doing their best.

Not luxurious by any means but a healthy environment with a caring staff and an owner who is often on site who wants the best for his residents. My aunt has flourished in the 2 months since she started living there. Physically and mentally she is much improved. Thanks

The care here is acceptable, the cleanliness is acceptable. They don't have much in the way of activities, but my loved one is not in a state to use them anyway. The staff work hard for the amount they get paid, and they do their best to accommodate him. The major issue I have here is that there has been a lot of [removed]. The rooms are not locked, and people just seem to wander in an out, and all sorts of things, (food, cash, etc) will go missing. It's a big problem.

Overall, I am pleased with this choice. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add more staff as far as the aids are concerned. Otherwise, we really like the facility itself! The size is perfect - we didn't want something too big, but we also didn't want something too small.

It's a very homey place, there's a lot of staff there for the amount of people, they're very good with meals. They've got two tv rooms, they've got a piano, the people, the customers are very friendly. My mother really likes it there, the best she can tell me she seems to like it there, no issues at all. The transition seemed to be very easy, they put her in a room with another person and they became friendly, it's much better than her being at home.

The staff is friendly. My father has only been there a short time. He's had to go back to the hospital for a little while so I haven't gotten to see a lot of the care but they've been great as far as keeping me informed. There are no suprises. I know that they've very good at trying to get him out of his shell and he was adjusting but he hasn't been their consistenly enough to really get adjusted. I think they're attentiveness and keeping me in the loop as far as what's going on with his health is very good. They're very aware of the family. That, to me, is the most important aspect, trusting that they're actually paying attention and taking care of him.

I spoke with Avi: assisted living-1 fee, all inclusive, all levels of care, except for the secure unit (17 beds), 84 beds total in the facility. $3,500/month for a shared room $4,500/month for a private room. Rooms are like a hotel room with a separate bathroom which has a toliet and sink. For bathing they have walk-in Jacuzzi tubs, 1 for every 3 residents. The rooms are furnished, but residents can bring in any items they wish. The rooms have TV and free cable. Phone is $35/month. They get 3 meals a day, snacks 24 hours a day. The have transportation and they go on trips every day such as the water for lunch, casinos, concerts, shopping. There is an on-site hair salon. They have a happy hour! There is communion once a week, plus transportation to church. About 75% of the residents are Catholic. The only additional fee would be if the resident is incontinent-that would be $150/month. There are no additional fees should they need help with things like bathing and medications. If they have to go into the high level of care/secure unit the cost is $4200/shared room, $5200 private room. There is 1 aide for every 9 residents in the assisted living part of the facility; and 1 aide for every 4 residents in the secure unit. They will file the papers for the VA. The VA should wind up paying $1700/month. They will pay retroactively from the day of application, and it may take 1 year for the paperwork to be processed.

We toured the Sutton Gardens Community. The staff was friendly and helpful explaining what they could provide for our loved one. It was a clean facility, an older establishment. We chose another community based on our loved one's care needs.

My mother first came to Rosewood in Dec 2016. I am very satisfied with the staff and the facility. The food is absolutely wonderful and served hot with real utensils not plastic. I'm grateful to their 'cruise director' for trying to keep residents involved, but not everyone is able or willing to partake in all festivities. My mother always looks clean and neat when I visit so I know she is well cared for. Compared to other assisted living facilities Rosewood gives you good value for your dollars. I love the area in which Rosewood is located and it's a pleasure to see the well kept landscaping. My mother and I enjoy sitting on the outside admiring the water and the little creatures that come and go in the backyard. I recommend Rosewood highly.

I like that they are able to handle the more difficult level of care. It's working out pretty good so far, for the most part. It's clean and the staff is friendly. The shared bathroom thing is rough though. I am pretty happy with them so far though. I don't have any major concerns.

I have visited my aunt serveral times at Sutton Gardens in last 4 years and found the place to be very well kept. The staff has always been attentive to my aunt and I have had no porblems with questions being answered by the staff. I have found my aunt to be very happy at Sutton Gardens and has made new friends there. She and her roomie get along very well. I have seen a tremedous change in the environment as the owner has reburbished a number of rooms, painted the entire facility, and installed new light fixtures.

The staff is friendly. When I visit with my family, it feels as if I went to visit family friends. They are very caring toward the residents and try to meet their every need. The only negative is that the visiting hours are limited and very short, especially on weekends ( when most people tend to visit).

Rosewood on the Sound was dark, dreary and very depressing. Small in size if that's what you're looking for. What was available was a large room with toilet facilities but the shower was across the hall. Also, did not allow a mini refrigerator in the room and discouraged eating in the room. Also, the location (Bayville) was almost remote and difficult to reach. This is all very subjective as to my likes and dislikes and the needs of the person you are placing. For example, my auto mechanic placed his father-in-law in the Rosewood and seems satisfied.

I did not like this community at all. I just did not get a good vibe it just seemed like a ghost town and residents wandering looking for staff to help them.
I don't like the hours. You can only visit from 9am-5pm. I also don't like the fact that I can't just go in and see my loved one. I know where his room is, but I still have to wait in the waiting room until they get him. He's not happy with the food. Sometimes they pick up the phone. Sometimes they don't. The administration is very nice, and the caseworker is a sweetheart. But some of the staff are not the nicest. I don't like the whole Covid shutdown. I think they should let at least one family member come in wearing a mask. Not seeing family really deteriorated my loved one very badly. He went into a repression. He just needed to see me. All the residents need to see their family. And I understand if that's limited to one family member, at that family member's known risk if their are Covid patients in the building. Also, when a doctor is coming in to see him, they don't notify me. As his healthcare proxy, and with a loved one with periods of forgetfulness, they should really let the family know that a physician is coming in to see him and why. If there's any kind of medication change, they don't notify the family about that either.
