My father is in the dementia unit. They don't have activities really for the memory care area. They do have them downstairs but upstairs they seem to be sitting around a lot and watching a lot of T.V. We chose this place because my sister liked it better and the price was just right and they were very friendly. I would have them do more training for the dementia care. They don't really know how to talk to the dementia patients as well and are not traind properly.

I'm very very satisfied with the way they took care of my brother. I would like to mention the name Avi, who was the gentlemen who runs it, the director or something. He was very good. Also, the receptionist, Patricia, was fantastic.

Love it. This is the one, don't need to look anymore.

I read online about senioradvisor.com and knew that I had post about Birchwood Suites. My Mom lived there for 3 years and could not be more satisfied with the care and compassion shown to my mom while she was there. Being All Inclusive saved us thousands of dollars and allowed us to plan for her future while she was there! A++

Caring staff wonderful community for my love one which is now his home.

Great facility with good staff. The job they do is not easy. They are a blessing there is no negative aspect they care for my love adequately and the room is always clean. The administrator is a pleasure to deal with she is on top of everything.

Amazing Community. My aunt is here. Affordable, Clean and Charming. My aunt is doing well. We are happy for her. She enjoys the activities, food and all the friends she has made. Its been a miracle for us to find this community. You must tour this community, not like the over priced assisted living communities

My aunt is a resident at Birchwood Suites. Its a very warm caring place. Very charming, clean and they take great care of her. They treat her like their family! The rooms are beautiful and very well decorated. An amazing property with great amenities Great Activities for her as well Birchwood Suites has been a blessing for my family, very affordable!! I have to say the negative reviews are not at all true. My dad is a resident and he is very happy and cared for. The activities are wonderful and the building is decorated so nice and is very clean. The staff are very helpful and the other residents all look well care for and happy.

If I needed to go to an assisted living facility, I would choose Birchwood!! The care,compassion cleanliness, food, activities and overall environment are top notch. I would highly recommend Birchwood Suites.

They provide great care for my dad. Every time I visit everyone is nice and my dad seems happy. The new Administrator is friendly and kind along with her staff. I am thankful that we found this place. The meals are great and the building is charming. We are thankful for all they do.

Amazingly caring staff. The building is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. The standard of care is much better and the management team really care for the people that live there. It is budget friendly and no hidden fees. My mom loves it there and the activities are wonderful.

My stepmother stayed here for a one month respite during July, 2017. It is the sister property of where she normally stays for respite care, however, they were under construction. Rosewood is all on one floor with lots of windows allowing a lot of natural light in. The room are newly renovated with private bathrooms. During her stay, they took her out almost daily. When we picked her up, she looked great -- hair and nails all done. She has dementia so could not give me a lot of details. She seemed happy and was obviously well cared for.

The Birchwood suites is a beautiful community. The staff was very knowledgeable. They took me around the place and offered me coffee as well as the meals served there. The only reason we did not go with this community was simply the price.

My experience with Sutton Gardens has been very positive. As many of us caregivers have experienced, our loved ones are not always the easiest to work with. At least this was my case. My Uncle, after a period of time in a hospital for depression went to Sutton Gardens. The director spent many hours with my Uncle, having interesting discussions about life. This was very helpful for my loved one. I found the staff to be very caring and most important no matter how busy they were they always took the time to listen to their residents and always treated them respectfully. Since the place is not large it has a cozy family home feeling. Sometimes you can feel helpless as you try to help your loved one through their last years, Sutton Gardens is there to help you. You will have peace of mind knowing your loved one is safe and not alone. I hope my thoughts are helpful as you search for a place for your loved ones.

We transferred my 94 yr old mother from a facility in NJ to this one in Flushing NY because that is where the sibling providing most care resides. The staff of Sutton Gardens facilitated this transfer and made everything work smoothly, including the transfer of benefits programs my mother has. The staff is very friendly and competent. My mother is at the highest level of dementia care so she tests the system to the extreme and we are quite pleased with the results. The facility is not fancy, but it is clean, friendly, and efficiently managed and staffed. The price is also very reasonable compared to the costs national chain facilities.
