Angels Senior Living

I was very pleased with this tour that my family and I had taken at this community. They had great amenities offered and a well set up floor plan. There was lots of rooms in the hallways and lots of extra space for the residents around the entire building so it did not feel crammed.

I was able to take a tour of this community and felt that it was beautiful. The community was very, very homey and open with a lot of natural sun light to come in. The residents were out playing cards and getting there hair done. It seemed very nice. The place was smaller than we liked, but I would recommend this place to others.

Everyone in the community was nice. Eventhough the community wasn't very luxurious it was kept very well cleaned. The community is pet friendly and they offer some activities on site. The tour guide was nice and very patient i felt i received a proper tour of the whole community. Overall, i thought it was a good community with many amenities just wasn't very new.

The staff has done a wonderful job communicating with the family. When we tried the food it was amazing. The community is very well kept and updated. We really enjoy that mom has her own living space in her room. They offer many activities such as bingo, jeopardy, and other games.The activities director is amazing! She has come in on her days off to ensure the residents don't miss out. She is spread thin and she could use some help.

I'am satisfied with this community, my father is doing pretty well here.The community looks great, they do a very good job keeping his room and the community neat and tidy. The staff is very good, they have been attentive and responsive to my concerns. He is trying many of the activities surprisingly. The food is good, but a little to southern for my father's taste. Overall everything is well. This is a community I would recommend.

My husband was placed at the Angels Senior Living at Connerton at the end of May of this year. He has alzheimer's Disease. I was impressed by the neatness, cleaniness and modern it was on the inside. We were greeted by several people, explained things to us, had a great meeting with the Director, who was very much up front and we could understand every aspect of the facility. Was taken to the Alzheimers section where my husband would be staying, very clean, organized and the room my husband is staying in is very nice. It is a semi however at this time he is alone which is wonderful because it is giving him a chance to do the transition to his new home. It did however take a couple of weeks before he settled into the new home but with the help of the nurses and others he is doing much better. Have had a few meals with him and they are very good and a good serving too. So grateful I found this place with the help of Mariam [Removed] from A Place for Moms. She was an absolutely angel in getting me thru all this stressful time. Would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a place for parents or spouses . She becomes a friend to you which you will need at a time like this, there has been a tremendous amount of stress over the past couple of years. Thank you all for being such kind, understanding, sweet and helpful people to someone that was so lost when this happened.

I'am very impressed with this community and everything they have done for us. This is a very clean community, they keep everything looking very nice and neat. The staff is wonderful, they are caring for my husband very well. Even my family is impressed with this community. They offer great activities. The food is great, they have a very good selection of food. He is diabetic and they are very accommodating with that. Everything is working out very well and I would recommend it.

Angels Senior is awesome. But I feel resident to care giver ratio is too high. They really need one or two more caregivers to properly care for residents

This has been an extremely overwhelming process for myself although my experience with Angels Senior Living hasn't been all bad. I am used to being the primary caretaker for my friend and have been for years. Since he is at now at a point where he requires more care than what I can provide I decided to go with Angels Senior Living form the moment we toured the place. It was exactly what I was looking for and not institutionalized at all. It's a very homey environment and the residents there seem to be happy. There was an incident when I came to visit and he was completely naked in his room with another resident. To be fair he has refused care since being there and I really think that has something to do with it. I've built rapport with the admin and recently heard a rumor that she was fired. I'm hoping that's not the case since she's been so helpful and responsive from the start. Other than letting my thoughts get the best of me I am confident that things will get better.

OVERALL GOOD BUT NOT GREAT DUE TO FACILITY SUPERVISOR/ DIRECTOR NOT CONTACTING ME (GAURDIAN ) ,AFTER 2 UPSETTING EVENT(S) ( INVOLVING MY FATHER . AFTER A REQUESTED MEETING WITH THE DIRECTOR ,IT WAS AGREED THAT I WOULD BE INFORMED OF ALL FUTURE UPSETTING EVENTS / HAPPENINGS INVOLVING MY LOVEONE .

Originally they took him but when they went to visit him, they changed his mind. They said that it was because of his rash, but my uncle is very difficult to handle. The facility is very nice. They were good to deal with.

Met with Aaaron. Very impressed with him and facility. However, after sleeping and praying on it, I don't think R needs a refrigerator, etc. Five years ago he may have needed that, but now he needs more attention...

Looked pretty good, but we felt that Horizon Bay would better suit her needs. It was a new building, and the facility looked nice. It was very close to the grocery store.

They are very friendly and good at getting my mom out the room. There often is no one at the reception desk. The cleaning for the rooms is minimum. I just asked them the sweep under the bed because it has not been done since she moved there. I have to ask them to help my mom shower or make sure she showers. Much of the staff is good. Concerns about the cleaning team and the CNA's. I think is in the same everywhere.

It seemed clean, staff was very nice and informative, and the location is a mile from my mom - so she can easily see my dad there.

My mother gets her meals delivered to her room which is not the norm for this facility so her food is not as fresh as what we've seen served in the dining room. The aspects I like the most about the facility personally is the walkable location and the private coded entrance so I can safely come all hours of the day or night - anytime I want to visit my Mom. I also appreciate the coziness of the layout, where private rooms are in clusters of 4 or six and living areas are scattered throughout. The aspects I like least about the facility is simply that it is an older building and therefore lacks some of the features of a newer structure (better windows, air conditioning units, storage, to name a few).

I would recommend that you research several communities that are within your budget. I would also recommend Angels Senior Living to those that want decent care at a good value. The community is trying to get more staff; however, they tend to be short on staff due to the pandemic. The staff communication with the family is very good. The director is there most of the time, and she makes sure that there is follow through on the family's requests. There are three meals a day served to the residents. Breakfast is very good with pancakes, sausage, eggs, and more. The lunch is the main meal, and then dinner is a lighter option. The activities director is great!

Our family had an in person tour and right away it was just not going to fit for our loved one - it felt like a nursing home rather than an assisted living community, that was our first impression. It was dimly lit, there was a small reception area with a lobby that had a TV in it and all the residents were just sitting in front of the TV. It did not seem like a stimulating environment at all.
