Aster Place is a beautiful facility with caring staff and great food. The rooms are decent sized and are pet friendly. There is a gym to work out. A locked memory care unit is offered for loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s.

I would like the community to communicate better with the family about covid and the fee schedule. I'm very pleased with the community and they bent over backward to help us. My loved one likes it there and she get to keep her cats.

I would recommend this community to others. I have a friend who had a loved one who is in a different area of the community and that was positive experience for them. Overall, I would recommend this community for your loved one.

Ideal place for me to live. My garden home is exceptionally nice. Office staff is accomodating and friendly. Maintenance staff is very good, but only two workers to service entire community, and two more would make a lot or residents happy. Additional street lights would be nice since many residents walk in the evening.

The staff has been extremely helpful to my mother. They have kept me (son) and my brother informed when there have been any issues. they are extremely helpful getting Mom to doctor's appointments when the family has not been available. Attention to each individual in their care is obvious in the manners and caring attitude to the resident.

Bingo is my favorite activity! It has made making friends easy! I loved doing ceramics with [names removed]. Before COVID, my favorite outings always included looking at Christmas lights in Fishers and at Connor Prairie. I have found all of the nurse aides and nurses to be very helpful. I really enjoy anytime I can spend with the staff.

American Village has provided really good individualized care for my wife. The last several months have been very difficult due to the isolation made necessary by the Coronavirus. Staff has made positive adaptations (reallocation of staff time for more individualized attention to residents and accommodations).

Great care and notification procedures. My cousin has been a resident for about 3 years and my interactions with the staff (from 1000 miles away) has been great!

The social outreach is lacking, we have brought in someone weekly for my mom's socialization. The staff is not great at helping to engage the residents in activities or events. The room sizes are good. My mom likes her unit. The staff is friendly.

I am glad I picked to live here at Bethesda Gardens. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. They are always concerned with my well-being. My apartment is kept and it smells wonderful. Any repairs that may need done are handled properly. I am HAPPY here! The staff always make sure my needs are met!

I first became familiar with American Village when my mother became a resident in Washington Manor (Assisted Living) following surgery in the late 80’s. Before she died in 1991 she always mentioned how glad she was there. I am beginning my 4th year as a resident of the Garden Homes. I have met many nice residents and enjoyed the activities at Lincoln Lodge, as well as the friendly, helpful staff. Am looking forward to more pleasant years at American Village.

I'm happy here. All the help are gracious. I enjoy the outings to concerts. I enjoy the outings to concerts. I feel protested here from the Coronavirus. I appreciate the available transportation. My apartment is very comfortable.

I think that they are a really good place. I feel my father is safe. They have his best interest in mind with any decisions they make. The food is okay. The room sizes and layout of the community is good. They have outdoor space for the residents

Very attractive newer place. The rooms were nice but seemed small, and storage/closet space was lacking.

As the POA for one of your residents, I am disturbed by the staff turnover. And, why does it take more than one request of the business office to email me the invoices for our Aunts’s expenses.

Concern over the independent living not connected to main area--adviser mentioned that sometimes they never see those residents at all in the garden homes. Not sure if Dad needs that much independence--he mentioned he does not mind having someone checking in on him. Area nice, pet friendly.

Very beautiful. Main reason we did not chose this community is it is all on one level & you had to walk a very long way from your apartment to dining hall.

Very nice! We met lots of residents while on our tour and everyone was so friendly and encouraging to my in-laws. It was clean, decor was nice, grounds are gorgeous. Really like that you can apartments have washer/dryer hookups. On the downside: Mom felt the closets were small and too much space is given to the kitchen—especially when your meals are provided! We ate dinner here. Staff was so friendly. Portions were good, but Mom didn’t like the food—said she could tell it was frozen, pre-packaged rather than made fresh.

Our experience at Bethesda Gardens was good overall. My loved one has decided to move back home, but while she was at Bethesda Gardens, I feel the staff did a good job making my loved one and the other residents as comfortable and happy as possible. The community seemed well-staffed, and the cafeteria seemed to offer a lot of options at mealtimes. They also seemed to have a lot of activities available for the residents, and they had a calendar available every month so the residents knew what kinds of things were going on. Overall, we appreciated Bethesda Gardens' services.
