American Senior Communities

The care that the nurses give has been excellent. The staff also has been excellent as well. Everyone there is very friendly. The food as a whole has been very good as well. The biggest criticism that I have is that we do sometimes have to wait for a long time to be served. For example, just yesterday I had to wait half an hour for biscuits and gravy for breakfast, and by the time I got it, it was cold and soggy. Then today I was waited on and served right away, so it just varies from day to day. Overall though it has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living.

I have been a resident of American Village for several years; first in the garden homes and now in the independent apartments. I love it here! There's always something to do- you can't not have a nice time.

My husband and I moved to American Village in 2007 while we were still able and driving. We made friends and enjoyed the activities. After four years my husband passed away and I was grateful to have a host of friends and acquaintances to support me and comfort me. I find the residents and staff are friendly and warm. The food is very good and accommodations comfortable. Now I can no longer drive and take advantage of the transportation provided here. I can get to the grocery and other shopping, doctor appts.etc. conveniently. The management, office attendants and food servers are beyond efficient. They know us personally and cater to our requests promptly. I am grateful to live in a safe, clean supportive place. I'm sorry another visitor was not pleased as I can negate every objection he/she made.

Seems that it will be a good fit for my brother. Shelly was great at answering questions and ideas of what he'll need when he moves.

Things have gone very well at Heritage Park, I'd give them a 5 so far! It's a nice looking place, and everyone is very friendly and very nice, both the staff and the residents! Compared to other communities that I've had experience with they also do a great job with the food here. It's extremely tasty, and always served hot! They're currently rebuilding their kitchen, so the dining room experience itself has suffered somewhat during the construction, but that is just temporary.

Everyone there was wonderful. It was clean, and they were attentive. They did explain different things about assisted living and what to expect. The food was horrible, there were three difference places to eat, but every time I ate there, the food was not good. Other than that everything was great!!

Well my Mom and Dad are moving to Indy and will be living at Beech Grove Garden Homes. I really liked it there and Becky [removed] was wonderful, very friendly and easy to talk to. I think my parents will really enjoy living there :)

I was impressed beyond belief, here. VERY lovely, gracious, intimate. Food and service looked delicious and delightful. I believe that for assisted living and memory care, this may be the most respectful of settings, designed to retain as much self-esteem as possible. I was impressed by the love of the sales associate for the residents, and the reciprocation by the resident I met.

We were very happy with them. I would give the staff more than a five. The day nurse staff was amazing. It's one of the nicest places we've seen. It was wonderful.

An absolutely lovely facility! Cathy is a true gem and the staff was delightful. We enjoyed meeting some of the residents as well. The facility was clean, beautifully appointed with wonderful amenities. Definitely high on our list of possibilities.

At the time we toured, they were filled but it seemed like a really nice place.

This is such a new place, clean and easy to walk thru. Its in our pricerange for a studio and the rehab facility next door seems well designed and state of the art. Cathy was helpful and the location is perfect.

I'm, really happy that my mom is there. At first it was a change for her but she says that she's happy there and for her to say that is a big thing. Her room is nicer, she has a nice view, she can see outside from her bed if she wants to. Actually, I've tasted the food myself, I think it's better than where she was before. She's kind of a picky eater but eveything I've seen or tasted is good to me, it tastes like home cooking. For someone with Alzheimer's it's hard but I think the staff is very well qualified to care for people with Alzheimer's/dementia. They really care about the patients, they love my mother and they really have more patience with her than I do because they're more experienced with this. I think her memory's at the point where there's not a lot that she can participate in but they do try and they do get her to do things.

Mom has enjoyed the community. The staff is friendly. Value was good, but costs increased. Probably still a good price if compared to similar areas. Mom has enjoyed her neighbors and the community is her favorite part - it feels somewhat established.

We are glad that we found this community. We are glad that we got set up here. The staff have been really helpful and take care of things as they are made aware of issues and maintenance.

I love it at Heritage Park, and I've told everyone I know about the community and how happy I am. My monthly rent includes 30 meals. Maintenance has been short handed, they have been able to help with crucial items. There are trails to walk on, dominos, games, bible study, exercise, and more for activities for the residents to choose from. I would like to see more activities; however, they have them all day long as well.

This location was fine. The person who gave us the tour had a lot of information and did wonderful. They just did not have what my loved ones were looking for overall.

We love it at Heritage Park. Thank you so much in providing information so we could make the right decision for us. My mom has lived at Bethesda Gardens for 6 months. She tells everyone that we picked the best place. The facility is really beautiful. Very clean and neat. The staff is so friendly and very attentive. Mom raves about the meals. There are so many activities to keep her busy. They recently had fireworks and popsicles out on the front porch. She loves getting her manicures! During the COVID19 the facility was wonderful with the patient safety first! As her only child, I feel so grateful to have found Bethesda. It is a great comfort to know she is really truly cared for by all the staff!

I can't say enough about the staff at Bethesda Gardens. They are friendly and always welcoming! Once you enter the doors at Bethesda you feel like part of the Bethesda Family!
