Very nice place. Friendly staff. Clean facility

The medical team was good but I wished they would have made my dad do more for himself. He asked them to do things he should have been doing for himself as he is rehabbing from a stroke

When touring communities we were looking at what levels of care they offered. What we were looking for was a place that as dads health changed that the community would be able to adjust his level of care so that we didn't have to move him again and disrupt his life. It was a nice community but it did not provide the levels of care that we thought we were going to need. The staff was nice and accommodating with information and the community appeared very clean and well organized.

We liked this community when my loved one lived here. The staff were nice and they took care of the community. The food was good as it was like eating in a restaurant. We had to leave due to the cost of the community. They do charge separately for the different services needed. I would recommend this community if you have the money to afford it.

We toured this community for my aunt, and her needs. Our tour was a nice one, but unfortunately this was not the right for my aunt. However it was a nice experience overall, and everyone was kind to my family, and I.

I was familiar with the American House prior to visiting because my mother had stayed in one of their communities. They are all the same layout. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, but we found another place that fit my loved one a bit better.

I really liked American House Stone Senior Living when I toured. The building was clean and maintained well, and the person that took me around was friendly. The reason why I chose another American House was location, but this one was closest to my home.

Very nice. Great price and a lot included. It felt a bit more "college dorm" than "home" to me, no doubt due to its layout (former school)

My tour of this community was a nice one. My tour guide was very informative and kind. The community appeared to be very neat and tidy. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasant experience.

My tour of this community went well. The place just was not a good fit for my aunt. It was more like a nursing home, when I walked in, there was a lot of residents jut sitting there in their wheelchairs. They have no activities. I spoke with a lady who had been there 2 years, and she was very happy. Overall good place but just not what we were looking for.

The community seemed like a really nice place to live. The manager and staff were very friendly and attentive. The only reason we did not go with this place was the location, too far from my house.

The facility was nice just not what my mom was looking for. She wanted more of an apartment with a separate bedroom and kitchen.

Its kept very clean and tidy for the residents here. They need a little help with the food but other then that its an all around good place to live

The staff is always nice and address any concerns that we might have quickly. The facility is clean and clean smelling which is appreciated. They have some activities, but I think they could be better. The food could definitely use improvement too.

Overall our experience with American House Dearborn Heights has been a good one, although there are a few areas they could work on. The facility itself is very nice. It's very clean, and has a very bright airy feeling, there are lots of skylights and windows. They offer a lot of great activities and field trips that my loved one enjoys. The staff is friendly for the most part, although I've had some issues with the medical team. My loved one has a few specific care needs and some equipment I had to teach them how to use when she moved in, and my instructions didn't seem to get passed along between shifts. I had to repeat them multiple times to different people over the course of the first few days. My loved one has also had some complaints about the food. Also, the price between the one-bedroom suite and the efficiency was only $100 per month. For the difference in space, I would have expected the efficiency to be lower in price.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. This seemed like a nice enough place overall, but we found another American House community that was closer to our family and that suited our needs better. This location didn't have quite as many activities, which is something we were really interested in for our loved one.The facility itself also didn't feel quite as bright, although certainly not bad. However, the price here was much better than the other community, which was one advantage it had.

My father is staying at American House Elmwood Senior Living and has had a few complaints about the food. It does not have much taste, according to him. Other than that, things are good. The staff there are all very friendly and they try to get him involved in their activities. Overall we are pleased with the atmosphere and the care that he is getting.

I am happy with this place. My mother has been here for 9-10 years, and they offer a lot of amenities for her. They have both independent and assisted living. I'm not really sure how much it costs, I don't really deal with the finances. Overall I am happy because my mother is happy.
