** Very nice place

everyone is quite old and informed. I do not believe we would fit in here. Well, maybe she would, since she is not very active anyway. But I am a little more active.

We toured American House and thought it was a 3.5. We chose another community because American House had more of a nursing home feel.

We really liked the American House Stone Senior Living community. The staff was friendly when we toured and the community was very well-maintained. They did not have a room available that was close enough to the dining room for my mom. Very nice community.

This community did not compare to the community we chose. This is an old grade school that has been remodeled. This is a larger community with old steel doors. This community was more expensive than what we were looking for.

I really liked this community when visiting. I took my loved on and she was okay with it. We also heard good experiences. We were interested in moving in.

Overall our experience with American House Dearborn Heights has been a good one, although there are a few areas they could work on. The facility itself is very nice. It's very clean, and has a very bright airy feeling, there are lots of skylights and windows. The staff is friendly for the most part, although I've had some issues with the medical team. My loved one has a few specific care needs and some equipment I had to teach them how to use when she moved in, and my instructions didn't seem to get passed along between shifts. I had to repeat them multiple times to different people over the course of the first few days. My loved one has also had some complaints about the food.

They are doing a pretty okay job. The quality of food is something we aren't very thrilled with. The activities are about average. The staff and the cleanliness of the facility is okay. Some improvements could be made, but other than the food, no major complaints.

This American House community seems to be the oldest of the chain in the area. They also seem to be the smallest too. It is not a bad community it is just too small and a little outdated for what we wanted and were looking for.

Positive: Rooms were clean, cafeteria was inviting, residents were friendly, happy and clean. Negative: Office staff rude and condescending. The stench of Marijuana was often present. Med team was and is the worse. Sarcastic when asked questions (we are new to this and had many questions that were dismissed or left with the impression of "just another annoying family". Overall, American House is ok. Priced well for families don't have time to fully investigate.

My father was not there very long. The staff is very friendly. Apartments were a good size, the location was perfect for our family.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. Facility was clean. Therapy staff were nice. Imesha was truly professional and made my mother’s stay more tolerable for me. Having a parent ill and out of their home is very hard. Imesha was extremely kind and the gold standard for nurse case management.

I have to clean certain things myself. I won't recommend it especially if the person wasn't totally independent it. The food is not always good and they can't keep good help. The people there are friendly but the facility needs to have some improvements.

The manger was great, the place was clean. The food wasn't good and the kitchen staff played loud music that was not appropriate for elderly people.

My major problem has been receiving my mail and the parking is a nightmare.

American House tries to work with families to be as accommodating as possible...They provide a variety of activities and special events throughout the year. They had just hired a new nutritionist/chef...prior to that the food was rather pedestrian...

My husbands room is very nice, but most says get us left alone all day. I thought it was more assisted living, but found out it is enhanced independent living. I think he needs more care. Some of the staff members are nice, but many don't seem tuned into the needs of the residents.

The care staff is contracted by a third party. You pay the facility separately from the contract staff. The contract staff is not that attentive. Based off of my experience, I would not recommend American House Elmwood.

I would recommend American House. They have changed health care and it's better now, but they take a really long time to respond when the button is pushed. The food is very good. The office is very helpful.

We picked this community because, they accepted the Medicaid waiver and its location to family.American House Westland Venoy is a nice residential property. It's clean and offers activities for its residents. There is a steady turnover in staffing.
