American House

We loved it here for my mother in law! She became social again and made some friends while she was there. Unfortunately, she passed away a few weeks ago.

Could tell first walking in that the building is clean and well maintained. Staff was so very friendly. They welcomed my mom and my family and were very patient with us. Mom has been here for few months and she loves it.

American House Troy We moved mom to AH Troy in December 2018. It has been an emotional move but everyone at AH Troy have been very supportive and kind. We are pleased with the staff and are grateful for everyone's help.

This facility is the Taj Mahal of assisted living. It is like going to a 5 Star resort! The prices are very competitive and the rooms are large. In fact their prices are lower than some of the worst facilities I've been too. They have all the activities and it looks like a fun place to live and work. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

This was our first visit and the facility was beautiful. We met with [name removed] and she took us on a full tour. Obviously the new construction makes a HUGE difference in the eye's perception. Only real drawback was the shear size of the facility at more than 200 residents at full capacity.

I was lonely and depressed until I came here. I love it, I feel like I am home! Everyone of the residents and employees are wonderful. Clean, neat, things to do and great food.

It is clean, things are very well groomed. The seniors are very happy. It is a great atmosphere. Would very much recommend to others.

Fantastic residence!!! Caring staff from administrative to medical to maintenance. They address all of our needs and treat my family like their own. I love American House-Taylor

Elmcroft of Lebanon has been a god-send to our family. Our grandmother, who has been suffering with Alzheimer’s, moved there in December and we have seen a marked improvement in her spirit since being surrounded by all the kind faces at Elmcroft. The little community there is compassionate and caring, and the residents truly matter to the staff. So thankful.

Exceeded my expectations. The entire staff is fabulous and [Name removed] reigns supreme. She made us feel welcome from our first visit. I am so grateful that my parents will spend their retirement days surrounded by this devoted and dedicated staff of professionals.

Mom has adapted well to the home and appears very happy. Her dementia was difficult to handle at home and so this memory care center has been most appreciated.

Dad spent a few weeks there for respite. He enjoyed his stay. We felt very comfortable leaving him at Beach House. The staff was very attentive and kind. The accommodations were outstanding. He was well taken care of during his stay. When we are ready for Dad to go into a permanent residence, Beach House will be our choice.

We moved our Mother from an Ann Arbor Assisted Living that was a terrible experience for our family, to American House. American House has exceeded our expectations in daily care, activities, accountability in services , communication, and even daily contact with Administrators and Staff. It has been an enjoyable, clean and friendly environment that has put our mom and family at great ease. Last night they completely overwhelmed us with the most outstanding Family Christmas Party! We could not have imagined a more perfect evening. Their Chefs seamlessly prepared a gourmet meal, from appetizers to dessert to 260 guests! The elegant meal was served by smiling, joyfilled staff, with tables and room decorated, live music, and a cheerful handsome Santa who came to each resident bringing joy and comfort. AH staff worked so very hard last night and left the residents and families feeling loved and served. We were in awe the entire evening. Our only regret is that along with taking our mom from the former AA Assisted Living, is that we could not bring those sweet elderly left behind there to our American House. Our experience between the two is incomparable. Thank you American House Administrators and Staff for showing our elderly the respect and dignity they deserve, and being accountable to those who trust you.
