American House

Love this community. Staff is super engaging. I feel like the management team really care about the residents and are always trying to do better. Really looking forward to the renovation being completed, Looks great so far.

When it comes to the care services this is a Independent Living. Assistant Living is an additional charge and its services is ala carte. That being said, my dad has had some emergency situations in which [name removed] was needed. They were very helpful! I'm giving an average rating though, because we purchased the medication service and there had been several times in which the medication was late (6 hours late) or forgotten. In some cases the rice wasn't cooked all the way, there's some complaint on the tomato soup being too chunky. With the activities, my father doesn't participate in the activities, but they do look like fun.

I came to Florida and American House a year ago, a stranger to both. One of the first people I met was our activity director. She made me so welcome I felt I had found a friend. I met other residents through her and began to see the many pleasures of Florida. I was able to dine out with other residents, see many sights of this new state. I was soon involved in card games, field trips, programs. She is one of a kind - we are important to her - all of us! I feel she deserves to be considered for this award. I sincerely hope you do also!

I visited 26 independent and assisted living facilities to find the best places to show my parents. American House was my 1st choice and glad they chose it. Best management, food, and facility around.

The American House is a great place to live. The staff is so friendly and nice. I love all the activities they offer. I'm very happy living here!

The activities here are great. The bus rides, bingo, dinner out, ball games, all the other things we get to do. TOTAL BRAIN HEALTH.

My move to the American House Wildwood has been a wonderful one. I cannot think of anything I would change. There is so much to do that I have a difficult time fitting in all the things I want to do. The staff is super!!!

It's a great place. We picked this community, because it was more inviting and great location. Also, the director [name removed]was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful facility where staff do their best everyday to make sure residents and their families are well taken care of and strive to provide a high level of service every day. Many happy customers. Dining is an awesome experience- top class food served every meal.

We have had a great experience with independent living at American House Carpenter Senior Living. The staff are friendly, and it is a safe environment for my loved one.

Can’t say enough about American House. My parents moved in 2020. It was hard for them to go from there own home to Independent living but they adjusted quickly. They went from sitting around the house most of the day except Dr appts, to doing things all day long. They made so many new friends there. Always someone to talk to or activity. No reason for a person to be bored. Can see that by the busy calendar. The employees and management or top notch. Never seen better. They truly care which was so wonderful during Covid. The restaurant is wonderful. Looks like a ski lodge resort and you order off the menu, which is quite large three times a day plus can order pizza, sandwiches etc in the bar. I visited 27 facilities and chose this one for my parents and so thankful I did.

Everyone is friendly and eager to help. They also understand the whole reason my dad is there is because he has issues and needs help. (The place he was at before was always calling me and complaining about his behavior.) American house calls me, but just to let me know what's going on. They are not complaining about it! If he has medical issues, they are able to take care of it without calling an ambulance every time he needs an enema or has a urinary track infection. My sister and I originally intended to just have dad there temporary until something opened up closer to where we live but now we are happy with their care and have no intention of moving him! It's better for him to stay at American House and us to make the drive.

I love it here. I would tell others, that I enjoy every experience at American house it's a nice place to live great place to live. I would recommend this community to other families. The VA found this community for me.
