So the experience for my Mom & myself had been pretty good., except for one thing. We were told that two-three weeks after she moved in that she would receive a new shower, because the one in the bathroom as of now doesn’t have a shower door. So a new shower would be put in. So far that had not happened and she had been there since [date removed]. So far only complaint I have. Everything else has been great. My mom is enjoying here new surroundings.

Good qualified caring staff. Residents are friendly. Activities plentiful and varied.

We initially picked it because it was well-maintained, clean and still close to all her stores, doctors. Mom had lived in her condo for 40 years...this was a huge move so being close to what she knew, was key. Mom liked it there and we always felt she was safe there. The staff were responsive and super friendly/nice. The residents are very friendly, too. Always saying hi in the halls and in the common area. It did have a community feeling.I think the rent is high for the area. The rent is truly downtown Chicago prices, minus the amenities. Overall, we had a great experience at Hanover and would recommend them as long as money was not a problem.

It would be more pleasant to reach the office direct instead of the staff taking a repeat conversation and listening to the introduction to a A place for mom It made me feel like I was JUST the next person in line. I may need to clarify this.

Overall, I would recommend Vancouver Pointe to others. However, there have been too many staff changes since we moved in in September that made rating some areas hard. Hopefully things won't change too much. They're very friendly, helpful and affordable. It is somewhat scary with the company being sold.

My particular Unit had not been properly dusted and cleaned after the painting had been redone. The Unit had been vacant for a while. The blinds and air conditioning ducts were full of dust. It was hard to breathe. An additional fee of [fee removed] per month is charged for activities, etc. which was not made known to me until I signed the lease. The Manager does not have control of the rental accounts which caused my two-month credit to be delayed in posting to my account. I had to notify the Manager that there was an issue which delayed the posting even further. I signed my lease on [date removed] , and, have seen three different Assistant Managers. I have spoken to other residents that have said that there is no stability in the position. The entire Community is supposed to be painted according to the Leasing Agent which has not happened. The compressor in my air conditioning unit went out over Labor Day, and, the Maintenance Manager came and fixed it within a couple of hours. The notification process was not difficult. I will tell you another thing. I am really impressed with how the grounds are maintained. Most residents are pleased with the Maintenance Staff and the Leasing Agent busts her rear to try to make the residents happy on a repeated basis.

I'd say it's a good place to live and but there are some areas they are working on. Food is pretty good. They are understaffed and so a person may wait a very long time to be served or be missed altogether.The residents have been cliquey in the dining hall saving seats for friends and saying no to newcomers who are wanting to meet new people.

There are a lot of activities.I would recommend if they are looking for an independent style of living. Meals are not included but I did not have a problem.The residents are very extremely friendly and welcoming.There is a lot of shopping, restaurants very close. This is a 55plus community. That is what I was looking for. Independence

I toured this facility and it was just ok. It seemed a little dark and less inviting than some of the other places that I toured.

The maintenance team is really good. The place is well taken care of. No complaints about it

Felt like the staff and tour director was very welcoming and warm feeling. Liked many of the amenities the place had to offer making it a hard decision for us.

This community was not quite as good as the main community that I went with. My main choice just stood out too much for me to go with the other.

Very caring staff. Comfortable. Good food, well prepared.

I think this is a good place to live. there are some post covid delays and shortages but overall its a good place I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. The staff was very friendly and shared a lot of great information. The tour was well done and They answered all our questions also.

I would recommend this community to others based on my experience. The communication between the staff and myself is good. They keep me well informed and up to date. The community is neat and clean and the residence and staff are very friendly.

We chose Hanover place because it was the most cost effective compared to others that we looked into. Also the location was close to me as well. When we signed up, they said they would help me with extra outside care but I did never get any information about that. The apartment sizes here are very spacious. The showers in the bathroom are very tiny though, so I think it would be nicer if they had bigger showers especially for residents who need assistance while showering. Overall, I would recommend.

We really loved that they have a huge covered porch on the second floor. They have a propane fire pit that the hold other activities, other than just happy hour. The tour guide was very helpful. The location was not easily accessible for my loved ones.

Good place to live because the mgmt really cares about the residents and the staff. Very pleasant.

We thought the layout of the community was fine, and the rooms were good and adequate in size. Our loved one ate her meals in the dining room which was fine, and the people there were friendly. We do think if our loved one ended up needed more help they would be on top of it.
