My mother-in-law broke her hip and once home we reached out for assistance with bathing. The response was prompt but unfortunately were informed their service did not meet our needs and could not be provided.

Our home care person was lovely, friendly and very capable w my husband. The management in 2022 was very poor - our caregiver was let go and there was no replacement from one day to the next. We were not contacted by the agency but found out everything from the caregiver who we had liked.... If you cannot count on the management of a medical care company, your patient (my husband) is at risk when suddenly he has no caregiver.

The first person came three times, Quit. Office never advised us and we called to find out why. No one assigned. Last one always ran late. She doctored last time in sheet. She failed to show. Again no backup. Third person never came. Owner said my area hard to service as aides live far away. First one lived 5 minutes away! Owner took case with days and hours approved and failed to deliver.

Unfortunately my dad passed away shortly after we started with a homemade plan. We were not with them for very long, but I was not very happy with my dad's experience with that company. My dad had a terrible experience with the first caregiver they placed him with then the second caregiver was very unreliable and then after all of that, they did not do what they were supposed to, so we were never reimbursed for the care that he paid for, and at the time I didn't follow up because I was just so exhausted with everything we had just been through. I should've added that he had long-term care insurance and that was the reimbursement that we were expecting. They never filed what they needed to on their end for the long-term care reimbursement.

If I could give “0” star rating for Home Instead Franklin, I would. I hired Home Instead Franklin at the beginning of [date removed] to be a caregiver for my mother with Alzheimer’s. Before hiring Home Instead Franklin, I submitted a written list of expectations and tasks to the manager who reviewed the list and said her company could do every task on the list. Home Instead Franklin over promises and under delivers. Out of 11 days of scheduled service (Monday through Friday of 2 weeks and a Monday of week 3), Home Instead Franklin called out (No Showed) 5 separate days. When a caregiver did show up, they were abysmal at best. I DO NOT recommend Home Instead Franklin.

eware this company. They took on my care despite not having anyone in my area to actually care for me. The person that they gave my information to called me and promised me they'd be here and now they're ghosting me either ignoring my calls not replying to my texts and they're not replying to the company either and I need help right now and they're saying that they have no one available. Why would they take on my care if they had no one in my area to care for me? They should have said something before they promised me they'd have someone out here. The person who is supposed to care for me is very unprofessional to ignore the person that you're supposed to be caring for I don't want to hear any excuses this is inexcusable I am bed bound disabled and unable to care for myself and I have no one to do it for me that's why we hire people like you

Nobody showed up for the first day they were hired to care for my father. I texted the representative, no answer. Called the office number, the lady said they had nobody to work the shift....but they never called, texted, or emailed me to let me know! Plus, she asked about days next week they were supposed to come here on, and they somehow got the hours all mixed up. I would recommend staying far away from this "company"!

I was very unhappy with the person who was my caretaker. When I asked her to do something she looked annoyed. I asked her to hang up a piece of clothing and she hung it on my bedroom lamp. I asked her to open a window in my bedroom, and she said she didn't know how to open a window, and I totally believe that when she left, she stole a pocketbook which was Saint Laurent, probably a pair of scissors, and perhaps some other things. When she had nothing to do from me, she sat at the kitchen table, looking, bored, and annoyed I didn't feel like I should be there to keep her entertained. The night before I told her to leave we had a screaming argument at 12:30 at night, and I believe that's when she took the pocketbook. I would not recommend her to anybody.

This company is a low-class/unethical deceiving operation for fraudulent gains. They purport to serve their community by helping seniors live well at home, yet the opposite is true. They will lie to any community because they could care less about their community, especially the elderly. My mother needed Respite Care and received an imposter from a service provider claiming to be a quality care expert representing the most qualified home care business entity in town. This company talks a big game, but they don't deliver a tenth of what they promise. Their sincerity is baseless. Their ethics is without conviction. They will rob a senior to pay themselves. This company will leave you and not bat an eye about giving you a well-deserved apology. Their recruiting methods are not genuine. Most of their caregivers lack the discipline and caring skills most elderly adults need. If you hire this company, then be advised ... you have been forewarned.

I hate to give this review, and have thought about this over, and over. However, I don't want another family have this happen. We had [name removed] and her staff work with our dad several times. We liked her, however, we went on vacation, and her agency was to watch my dad to make sure he was safe. The problem, hours billed were flat out inconsistent to what our camera's revealed.We were billed over 500.00 of non worked hours. Example a zoo day, billed 6 hours they were gone 3:45 hours. At the very after we approached the matter they corrected the issue after our time card was submitted to them. The camera's revealed a lot, many times no one by his side as the walked across a steep driveway. One other time, he left the house and walked down the driveway only to haul a trash can up a steep driveway!! He was a high fall risk at that time, we had them here for safety. Recommendations if you have a caregiver 1) Background Checks 2) Camera's installed 3)Driving miles, photos of miles.

There is no point if the caregiver doesn’t show up. They still manage to charge you (bookkeeping oversight). Why pay a fortune to these people for terrible caregivers if they can’t bother to get someone to show up for work? Dealing with these people was a nightmare. Every time they made an error same line, “I’ll let the team know”. Obviously the team is totally incompetent, why don’t you take responsibility? This is how you lose clients.

Don't do business with these people. They are not interested in your loved ones well being. They just want to run up a big bill and try and take your house. These individuals are what is wrong with healthcare for our seniors and I will not stop fighting until I put and end to this.

It took about two weeks to finally complete the paperwork and meet with the director here in Corpus Christi. The owner owns both franchises in San Antonio and Corpus Christi. They promised to feed my mom on FIVE different occasions, and no showed on all five events!!! The first 2 events apologized and said that this is not how they do business, but it's not like you forgot about my dog; you're feeding my mom! After the fifth time would not return any of my calls and would not confirm the contract was closed out. They are very dishonest people. Looking into State and legal options.

My mother was victimized (allegedly) by an (alleged) former employee of Home Instead. The alleged former Home Instead employee burglarized her apartment AFTER she had been wheeled off to die. Franchisee has denied that his employee was captured on apartment building’s security tape.

Completely incompetent agency. The agency has been established in 2021 and they still haven’t developed sufficient inbound processes. I’ve dealt with many healthcare agencies through the years and noticed that this agency is out of compliance on multiple levels. I now feel it’s my duty to escalate specific issues I’ve noted to the commissioner.

Caregivers fail to show up, without any notice. Why am I paying exorbitant prices when I have to care for my own parent This place is awful. At least call me, you are supposed to be managing your employees.

We signed a contract with Amazing care on a Wednesday stating they had no minimum hour requirements. On MONDAY of the following week, yes, 5 days later [name removed] called me to tell me that they will be requiring a 20 hour minimum starting at the end of the month. Quite the bait and switch…The main reason we picked them for my mom was the no minimum hour requirement. I let her know that I was extremely unhappy with her and I felt that her business practice was shady and that I was going to have my moms attorney look over the contract. Only then did she say that they would honor it. We gave them our termination notice and finished out the month with a caregiver that we were pleased with, but unfortunately no longer trusted the agency. Their contract says they will return your deposit after 2 weeks. It took me more than 6 weeks to get my mom her refund. I would definitely not recommend this agency. Shady shady shady.

They don't do what they say.

There’s not one good thing I have to say about CFTC. Totally unreliable and doesn’t contact you when they can’t come. I could go on and on! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

The employees do not show up on time and some days not at all. I had to call each day to see if someone was coming. They were not educated as I was told. They were not professional and did not appear as shown on TV or as explained to us. The employees are very young and inexperienced. They do not know how to use the equipment to transfer my father and one slept all day. I would never refer this company to anyone. Plus they charged us for full time even though the employees did not show up on time not one day. We were still charged for 8-5 each day. It was auto withdraw. I will be trying to get reimbursed.
