Unreliable from Day One. From the very first scheduled Aide visit the Aides were either late or no shows. An incident in the home is currently being investigated. This is delayed awaiting a written report from either to owner of the company or the employee involved.

All was wonderful in the beginning. My mom will only allow a certain type of personality in the house so that makes things difficult. I was told to try to get their foot in the door a pie, something my mom loves, would be brought by the home. A way to get in the door say hello and hopefully begin. After a month no one came by to say hello, bring a pie or even call. I was very disappointed.

Hired them to assist my father with light housekeeping and to warm up meals for 3 days per week. My father changed his mind after a few days so I gave them 2 weeks notice to end care. We immediately had issues with no shows and late arrivals. Spoke to them twice to resolve and given assurances that they would improve to no avail. Would not use again.

I would recommend using any other company but this one. This company is horrible, pay caregivers minimum wage while they are collecting triple that. They treat the caregivers very poorly as well, want them to come in sick.

I would give them a -1. It was [removed]k. The man came and visited me in rehab so he didn't give any care. Just took my money and made promises. I asked him at least three times did I get the money back and he said yes each time so you not only stole the money but he stole mine truth. I don't like it don't do business with you again.

The manager came and met my dad, and I introduced her to my family, also she sent someone name [name removed]I introduce her to my family also. Gave her a tour of my house inside out. She was to start the following day, I called until I was weak, no response until this very day. My sister thinks they were scammers it hurts that I gave them the tour of my home. They are all a set of thieves if you ask me. They were to care for my dad, no one turned up. I will never trust any more agencies.

My 90 year old mom prepaid Rivers for personal care which she ended up not needing. She used some of the money for transportation and logged her own rides because they never kept track. When she no longer wanted rides from Them (consistently late) she asked for her deposit back. I have never seen a business owner talk in more circles to say absolutely nothing. Unprepared and unprofessional Ended up ghosting my mom and never returned her money. Watch out.

If I could give the owner a 0 star rating I would because she is unprofessional does know how to have a adult conversation about concerns of the clients her employees doesn't where ID badges you never know who will be caring for your love ones their is always a different person their I need them to wear a picture ID badge while caring for the clients i would have never picked this company all the reviews are fake the company is fairly new so she has the employees to do a fake review so be careful and do your own background check

I would not recommend that service. Note they were very unreliable. I will comment that I felt they were more concerned with filling a spot in their schedule than making an appropriate care partner.

IF we could give a 0 we would. The worst co wouldn't recommend to anyone. Everything the aides slept thru the night my aunt fell no report of it had to take her to a he hosp. Overcharged need I go on. You should take this co off your roster

At first the manager was so eager and assuring. I specifically requested the same 1-2 people at all times. I stated I had cameras. I was very clear on expectations. We not only had a different person every visit but I was never notified each time and had to figure it out on my own. The employees were leaving during the shift (and still getting paid for their time). Buying cigarettes for my grandma who no longer smokes. Money is missing out of her piggy bank. The list goes on for a two week period before I abruptly demanded service stop. The manager apologized profusely and stated changes were made within the company she had no control over and although I can understand companies make changes, the changes they should be making should include the people they’re hiring to represent them. I will NEVER recommend Home Instead and will ALWAYS share this terrifying experience with others.

Avoid this agency at all costs. After discovering that my mother’s soiled bedding was left unchanged during the entire four hours an aide was supposedly "providing care," I called the home office manager to demand an explanation. Instead of addressing the issue, they doubled down on gaslighting me, insinuating that I and My Mother was lying and that my mother had soiled the bed after the aide left. Let me clarify: I called them at 4:15 PM today; the aide had left at 4:00 PM, and the bedding was already soiled before the aide even arrived per my mom. During the 3 way call the office manager placed me on with the aide, the aide insisted that she had checked and changed the bedding. But when I mentioned the fact that cameras are present in the home the aide story suddenly shifted to, “Oh, well, I changed the bed pad on top of the bedding.” and told me my mother must of urinated on the bed after she left. Right she somehow urinated on the bedding that had a clean pad on top of it.

The CEO and team in Lexington Ky have not been good to my family at all. Services promised was not kept. A lot of no shows which put my family in a hard place, I do not recommend that you use them for you love one's.

Very unorganized business. It took a long time to find caregivers we felt were a match for the patient and family. Constant employee turnover creates problems for full-time coverage. Wouldn't recommend.

They said they wasn't going to hire me cause i didn't want to go to someone that has demanita so they won't hire me cause of that. I don't have experience in dealing with demamnita but they don't care cause you have to have experience

We hired Cornerstone Caregiving to provide 24 hour care for our father, who has advanced dementia. Under their "care", my father fell multiple times and broke seven ribs. For the first fall, the caregiver on duty left him unattended. For the next falls, the caregiver was sleeping on his shift, my father wandered around while the caregiver slept, and my father then fell. The caregiver woke up, put my father in his bed, and the caregiver went back to sleep. An hour later, my father was up and fell again. A caregiver at Cornerstone tied my father to his wheelchair with a bedsheet so that my father could not stand up. Many of the caregivers did not feed my dad and did not provide him with drinks. Multiple caregivers slept during their shifts, including daytime shifts, and left my father sitting in a wheelchair, slumped over. We contacted the Director of Operations multiple times, and despite his assurances, all of the issues continued. We terminated their contract.

Worked here temporarily and the boss let her employees do whatever they wanted. One of [name removed] employees smokes pot with the residents. She lets her favorite employee leave residents alone in the house while she shops. And the employee even threatens the residents by saying “I’m gonna beat the **** out of you.” Left her resident outside and locked the doors. I do not recommend this place to ANYONE. Food is enough for a small child. And thrown together in a crockpot. They are not allowed to have more than 2 snacks. Not allowed to control their own money. If you want someplace to take care of your loved ones the right way. This place is not it

The Aides are Superb! Had to terminate contract after 4 months due to owner scheduling multiple Aides in the same day for my loved one who has Dementia, even after multiple discussions of being told not to. Common sense would tell one not to do that with Dementia patients who need consistency. While I commend the owner for wanting to start a business, she lacks the organizational skills, common sense, and ability to follow direction. Truly feel bad for the Aides who lost out on work due to the owners dereliction of duty and unwillingness to follow basic instruction.
