I moved my mom in here this week after being recommended by a place for mom. The whole process to get her into this place was a mess from the beginning. Seemed very rushed to get us to sign and everything they did seems like a set up. For starters all pricing info was labeled "TBD" instead of giving us a hard price on things. Then when discussing prices everything was written down by the staff on scratch paper and nothing official. All legal docs they used have "TBD" in the pricing in order to give them freedom to bribe you with low costs only to totally shock you once you have signed the lease. They do all of their care fees "a la carte" style instead of care packages like some places and boy does it add up fast! Extremely nice place though and the staff is all very nice! Very clean and a place I feel very comfortable having my mother at. Just please use caution when signing your loved ones up for this place and demand that they give you a hard price that is on all legal documents signed. Do not fall for their "hurry up and move them in before your space is gone" game and make sure you have security within your documents you've signed.

I don't think they have enough medical help. There is not even a nurse in memory care, which to me, that where it's most critical. They do in Senior living. It's a beautiful facility, but the care needs to be improved.

He had some good caregivers. They put me under a lot of pressure to move him because his care needs had progressed and I understand that this may have been from a desire to get him the care that he needed, but it also felt as if they were very concerned about protecting their statistics too.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for my loved one. Some parts of this community looked very nice. The outside areas, the foyer, and the assisted living areas were all very new and nice looking. However, the memory care area where our loved one would have been was just one long hallway that didn't feel particularly warm or inviting.

Private pay only. Private room - $5300. Shared room - $4800.

It seemed a little cleaner and a little fresher than the community that we ended up choosing, but in terms of overall value, it didn't compare. The price for what they offer wasn't worth it.

We visited a while ago. It seemed like there was too small of a population, and not enough going on.

It just didn't seem to be as small and as well run. It seemed like it was kind of going through some growing pains as far as their procedures and things.

We have had lots of fall downs on what we expected from Homewood. The marketing guy was very good and kept saying “If you want the best are for your loved ones, we may not be the least expensive, but we are the best.” Since then we have been scratching our heads. The staff does not seem to communicate with each other and really seem to not take responsibility. When an issue arises and you ask them what happened or how it happened we just get empty answers like “I don’t know” there was only one member of the staff which was a college student that actually said “I don’t know, but let me find out” We are paying about $3,400 a month to have our loved ones here. They do charge a low start rate but when you start adding services needed it really adds up fast. The community itself is beautiful and is in excellent condition. It is a smaller community compared to the others in the surround area. Everything about the community is actually really good except for the actual care services and their lack of communication. It seems like no body here really knows what is going on.

The day staff is really good but the evening staff is bad they take a long time to answer when they pull the cord to get help, it could be an hour later they. The evening staff is not very friendly and the food is awful. I had to wait at the community while taking care of something, they brought me a tray and the food was really salty. The food really is just not good. I’m not happy that they come to residents when they want to come not when the residents need them. We decided on them because it’s small community and seemed like they would be able to provide more personal care, but they seem to take a long time to answer the pull cord during the evenings. They raved about their food and how good it was, that turned out to not be accurate. So we are very disappointed in those areas. However recently changed the carpeting and put new furnisher in. They also offer a computer class for the residents.

Very, very lovely, great area. But it's really small, ~80 Independent Living residents, 70 Assisted Living. I think it's just too small for our tastes.

Locked Assisted Living unit. No dogs allowed. Beautiful facility. He is too independent to be on a locked unit.

Dedicated building. Total # residents in mem unit: 15. All inclusive. Nurse 6-7 pm. Dr. onsite 1 day/week. Transportation to doctor appt included but must provide an aid.

I think it is a wonderful community, that is trying hard. They don't have adequate number of staff to care for the residents. Sarabella is using a lot of agency staff to assist with the care and number of staff as it is a newer community. The community recently hired a new Activities Director and they are trying to implement a new activities. The activities seems to be going into a good direction.

When we first moved our family member to Serenades it was outstanding and continued that way until September 2017. Since then the care staff was reduced. Followup from all staff is non existent. The lack of care has dwindled. Team [removed] is no longer involved with the activities. Some of the newer residents should be there as their needs/actions require a higher level of care. There are some very caring aides, unfortunately they are overworked. What was once outstanding, is now in a tailspin and needs corrections.

This is a very nice community and we have been satisfied until today. It's a sad day at the Hamptons to loose one of the only managers who care! Bring our Nurse back. I personally am not comfortable leaving my loved one here. From an unhappy camper.

So far it has been a work in progress for my mother here at this community. I would like for them to follow through on many of the things that were promised to us in the beginning. We were told she would have transportation to and from her doctors appointments, but they have not provided any rides. They said they have an on site doctor, but after the move when found out he didn't take her insurance. She says the meals are horrible. I wish they would be more upfront about the service they have available.
