I recently moved my elderly relatives here (and they really did not want to leave their home of 53 years). After seeing Brookdale Irving, they were amazed that they could afford to live in such a nice place with so many amenities. Now, four weeks later, they look better (good food makes a big difference!) and seem so much happier than they did when they were trying to hold things together in their old house. I have been very impressed with the staff -- caring, attentive, warm and welcoming. Brookdale Irving has truly transformed a difficult decision into a happy and excellent experience!

After seeing Brookdale and meeting with the staff, they were amazed that they could afford to live in such a nice place with so many amenities. Now, four weeks later, they look better (good food makes a big difference) and seem so much happier than they did when they were trying to hold things together in their old house. I have been very impressed with the staff -- caring, attentive, warm and welcoming. Brookdale Irving has truly transformed what started as a difficult decision into a happy and excellent experience!

[name removed] and [name removed] RN. were so warm and understanding in my frustration of trying to find the most suitable place for my parents who want to stay together as a couple but have different levels of need. Mackenzie Place is a small intimate senior care community more suited to my parents liking than the larger communities here in the Lubbock area.

Wonderful community with caring staff. I work in the hospice industry & Lakewell Place is easy to work with & very welcoming. Would & have recommend to everyone [name removed] is a doll!!

We have been so very pleased with Lucas Place. Every staff member is caring and compassionate as well as so patient. The facility is always clean and bright and homey. Activities are superb. Thank you for being here for my mom!

Wonderful place. Small community. The staff seem very kind and caring. The few residents we saw and said hello to seemed very content and happy here. Apartments are spacious and clean. Great courtyard for events and bird watching. They have some really great activities here, such as going to movies, local playhouse and even Astros games sometimes. I think my mom would like it here. Close to The Woodlands too.

When my mother lived alone she was having major confusion and problems taking her medications. What I like here is that it's a small community and was very easy for her to feel at home and get to know everyone personally. I know that you can't pay someone to love your mom, but I feel like she is genuinely loved and cared for here. Her meds are back on track and she has done a complete 180. She was meant to be here.

The employees and people are kind, caring, professional and organized. The facility is clean and does not smell bad. Most importantly mom loves it there, she has friends that are residents and friends – are employees.

I am very impressed with this facility. From the first time that we toured the place is the reason why we moved forward with them to have my love one there. The staff team is wonderful, helpful, communicative, and I was not expecting it to be the way that it is. I recommend their services.

This facility has been very accommodating in helping us find my Mother the right apartment and the things she needs. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. For activities they offer things like creative classes, bingo, card games, and twice a week shopping trips. The facility is very inviting and they even have an in-house salon. My mom really likes the food and from what I’ve seen, the meals are good for what the elderly need. I would recommend this facility to other families.

My dad was happy here and everything has been good here except the food. The staff here is caring and accommodating. [Removed] have bent over backward to help me with my dad. He is having to move because he needs more care and it is limited here. The food was bland and not enough portions of it my dad is 6ft tall and 200 lbs he likes to eat. And not just one corndog. But overall this place is great and I would recommend it to families.

My family has been very pleased with this facility and the care they’ve provided for my Mom. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and available when you need them. They offer a lot for a very reasonable price and it is overall a really good value. The facility offers a lot of different activities for the residents and there seems to be several things going on at once. There’s always something for someone to do. They have entertainment programs, school children will come by to sing for the residents, there are exercise classes, and they’ll even take them to concerts (like the orchestra). They have special events for the holidays as well as arts and crafts. There’s really quite a variety. My Mom always says good things about the food and, from what I’ve tried, it tastes okay. There are a lot of options to choose from so it isn’t the same thing every day. This has been a very nice facility and we’re pleased.

Wonderful community, great staff – they go out of their way to accommodate the residents and make them feel at home. Many little personal touches. Also very accommodating to relatives. Always willing to bend an ear and take the time to talk and answer questions.

My dad was only here for a week but it went well. He wound up having to move out though because he needed more care than what they could provide. He was very anxious while he was there and didn’t seem to be able to relax. They didn’t seem to have enough staff but the ones that were there worked with us the best they could. The food seemed healthy and well balanced. We liked it so much because of all of the activities that they had to provide. They offered aerobics in their chairs, bingo, cards, crafts, and they’d go out for scenic drives and go to restaurants. However, they had a point system in regards to payment. There’s a base price but then they add on additional charges or fees depending on how much care or attention your loved one needs.

We went on the tour here and the people were really nice and seemed caring. It was nice and clean. They had lots of daily activities. It was just not modern or up to date. They answered all of my questions. We are just looking around right now.

Conner Place is the most awesome place in the world. The people there are so very nice and caring, and the staff is fabulous. The food is very good, and they have so many activities. My loved one is pretty active, and she is really enjoying her social life. I think the thing that really stuck out to me when I first toured was the homey feeling and the smell. It smells clean there, not at all like an institution. I would certainly recommend Conner Place to others.

This facility is everything that I was looking for. They have a medical staff on site at all times and they do a really good job and medicine distribution. The community is very secure and they have a keypad that you have to type a code in to get in and out of the facility. When you first walk in you notice that it is very friendly, bright, clean, and welcoming. The other great thing that I like is my Parent’s always have something to do. There is an activities director who schedules field trips like going to the museum, Sunday brunches, and to other places in town. There are also things in-house like family nights, movie nights, bingo, and local churches come in to do bible study. I would recommend this facility.

This area is a very nice place. The staff and nurses are very courteous to us. Anything that we ask for they are there to help us. My parents are in the assisted living section and they seem to be making friends fine. Everyone there is very welcoming and friendly. The food is good as well. My mother was having problems at first because she has a condition that causes her to react negatively to spicy food. After the wait staff noticed the cook team came out and talked to her. After she explained that she thought the food was too spicy for her the cook team was very well accommodating and made sure that it wouldn’t happen again. It was very nice of them. Their menus in their dining area changes daily and you pre order before you sit down and wait for your meal. All in all I would recommend this community to other families and the facility.
