Brand New, Ask Questions

I have concerns and I will share those concerns. Some of the concerns I'm shocked about are: the specialty doctors are supposed to come once a month, and they don't visit my dad. There isn't enough staff in general, and apparently they use the nursing students from the local university; once a resident gets used to a caregiver then they switch and you don't know. My loved one's significant other does a lot of things the staff should be doing. The portions were small to begin with and they become even smaller. We are able to send food via amazon due to the pandemic. My loved one has lost quite a bit of weight. This could be COVID related or economy. The sales person was also the activity director and she did everything. She recently left. One of the resident contracted COVID from one of two employees. They ended up on lock down for December and January. This is a newer community.

It was very close to my house. Hospital feel throws me off. The place needs quite the facelift for the $$ paid to live there ... [name removed] was great. Don't know how my mother would interact with so many residents sitting around the way they were in the common area. Although there are 12 residents that are on the "level" my mother is.

Nice, But Too Small

We toured The Gardens when we were looking for a place for my loved one. It's a nice place, but it seemed too small. I also don't think that my loved one liked the location. Overall, it just was not a good for for us.

Not what we needed

We ended up moving to another community which afforded us a medical model, Atria Stratford is a social model. We were promised a lot of things that they were not able to provide. The care staff, recreation staff were friendly and tried their best. We mainly had issues with the director who was very arrogant and not understanding of the care we needed, he was all about the business end.

Good chef but not as active as we wanted.

As it was at all of the places we toured, it was clean, and the staff is quite pleasant. We visited in the morning, a little before 10:00, and people weren't up and about yet. I did like that they had a chef there, and the food was not quite as institutional as a lot of the more corporate places.

Our experience did not meet expectations.

Hard to say on the value as that facility was not a good fit and could not accommodate Mom's needs. It was a mismatch from day one, they oversold their ability to accommodate someone with my mother's handicap.

Dad has fallen twice since July

My dad has fallen twice under there care since July. Broke his hip on first fall. And broke his fema on second fall. They charged for care for the whole month of September and he was only there for 4 days that month. Me and my brother split time staying with my mom who is still there. The over turn on the help is ridiculous. Very in experienced on the care of medication and handling folks with dementia. Looking for new place before dad gets out of rehab. Would recommend you look somewhere else for care. False advertisement on specializing in dementia. Nursing director just resigned red flag there too

Law Suit for resident death and false advertising

Spring Village describes services they do not offer. Their staff changes constantly which is a red flag. They increased pricing 10% this past year and now charge for their once complimentary shuttle service. They have a law suit from a family who loved one died under their watch, apparently due to a fall. Newspaper stated 13 falls in a short period of time. The parent company had a lawsuit in VT and the facility was closed and they are not allowed to do business in that state. Beware!

Misinform Information

We had a pretty okay experience with this community. However I did not like the head nurse. She gave us misinformed information. She said my mother could move in the community with my father, but that was not the case.

Wasn't impressed by the tour

We toured this place when we were looking into options for our loved ones. In general it just seemed dark, and wasn't as clean as others we had seen. The residents just didn't seem very lively or happy.

Clearly designed to deal with memory care, but the memory unit is sans pets and mandatory roommates, so not what Mom would pick if she were capable of making the choice. But, right in town.

Service Gone to Hell Eith New Owners

New owners just took over and Oh Boy....things are going down hill fast. Client services were some of the best and now you can’t find anyone to help. I tried calling the front desk 5 times today and no one answered. Half day later and still no call back. Time to start looking for another assisted living that cares about its clients,

Not for me

After looking at several communities, I felt this was not for me. Although clean and convenient, the atmosphere was not for me. Having spent the majority of my life as a single businesswoman, I could not see myself fitting in, even from a marginal standpoint. Perhaps if I was a male, I would have felt differently. I decided on a place on Park Ave., 3030, and couldn't be happier.

Not what we expected

When we toured the facility everything looked as it should. There was staff, the food looked great, everyone was welcoming. Two weeks after dad moved in that all changed. We came in on a Saturday to visit and was taken aback by what we saw. Dad was dirty with food on his clothing and looked like he was more confused than when we left him. We couldn’t find a nurse and the caretaker who we did find told us that it was her first day there and didn’t know anyone as she worked with an agency who sent her there. We asked to speak to the head person of the facility and were told that she wouldn’t want to be disturbed on a Saturday night and that we could call her on Monday morning. This is unacceptable since there are responsible for my fathers care and well being. When we called on Monday we were sent to voicemail and still haven’t heard back. Currently we are looking for new placement and feel that we were conned into believing dad would have excellent care.

Horrible care

The care at this place is horrible! Staff is incompetent and hard to find when needed. I came to visit my mom and she was dirty with feces and dirty clothes. Laundry is never done or clothing is hung in closet or put away dirty. He hair is never brushed. This place needs to hire more caring staff and stop using an agency that don’t care about my mom. I always pay on time and feel that she is only a paycheck to these people. Think twice before committing to putting you family here.

Worst customer service

My mom was at spring village and the service in the past 3 months has gone drastically downhill. We had no choice but to find other arrangements for her care. Nursing is subpar and the living arrangements are going downhill fast.

Not a good place to go

This place is nice from the outside. Looks are definitely not what they seem. I am not sure what is going on but it’s not a place I would send my loved one or work. I have tryed several times to get in touch with [name removed]and they never answer phone calls return emails. You go in to see them never in the building to talk to or the office is all dark all the time…. My loved one is always dirty, can’t find nursing staff. If you would have went back to several month they had amazing staff that cared for the residents they had a director that was there 24/7 and answered everything she could. Now you don’t know what you are walking into and most of the time it’s a [removed]show.

Do go here

Extremely overpriced for services rendered even with contractual agreement. Occupational therapy never render. Patient falls. [Secondhand information removed.] Covid19 restrictions in force but was advised by certain staff members how to get around this. Cleanliness issues in room/bathroom lacking. Clothes went missing never returned or reimbursed. $X,XXX+ [price removed] month is to much for this place
