Westmont Living

My mother in law has been at Oaks for 3 years. I visit almost daily. The staff is incredible! They call her and me by name. [name removed] does a terrific job with activities! [name removed] moves about the facility a lot! Front desk so friendly.

My 87-year-old father moved to Westmont of Encinitas almost six months ago now after living on his own in his own home in another state. He is doing great and I am very pleased with both the facility and the staff at Westmont. What I like the best is that both the staff and the other residents are super welcoming and go out of their way to include new residents into the existing community. The dining experience in particular is very welcoming. Dad has met so many new people because they just invited him to sit with them at a meal, and I have witnessed the dining staff gently directing people who come down to a meal on their own to sit at a table with another person who is by themselves. Staff learned my dad's name within a week, and quickly learned his likes and dislikes. Other residents have been quick to invite him into activities. The facility itself is very clean, has lots of good lighting, and even smells good!

Lakeview is where my grandmother went and we love the homey atmosphere there. The managers are very friendly and seem to be making the place a great place in the community. My grandmother is happy and tells us she likes her neighbors.

Everyone is so friendly and the food is good! I've enjoyed getting to know the new management team. It's nice to have music playing at meal times. I'm glad there are house doctors that come to the building so mom does not get stressed out over car rides to the clinic.

We visited Lakeview recently as walk ins and were made to feel welcome immediately. From the concierge, to the care givers, to the servers who were delivering meals to people's rooms, it was all in all a really great first impression. Would recommend.

You can tell the maintenance and housekeeping team really takes pride in their work! This community is in such a great location and is very well maintained. The staff was cheerful and seemed genuinely interested in all the residents.

I moved my mother in 4 months ago. The facility made the move in process so easy. They provided us with great support. [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]did an amazing job in coordinating everything. The Chef is always available to meet with my mother. My mother is a picky eater and this has been helpful. All staff is very well trained and make my mother feel comfortable. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I highly recommend Westmont.

Senior living and the process is new to me. Not knowing where to start, I had several questions… I left the community with the knowledge needed for me to make the right decision for my mom. Now it’s going to be time to bring mom in so she can get a feel for the community. Baby steps

Everything is wonderful here! The staff and residents here are really kind. The meals are great. There's not much to complain.

Exceptional care and vibrant community at this senior living establishment. The staff is attentive and caring. The amenities are easily accessible in centralized areas. This location is also close to the expressway and has a dedicated bus with driver to ensure that my loved one is able to get where they need to on time and hassle free.

My mother had a fall that required a hospital stay. After her stay we realized that she should not live alone. We did a deep dive on all the Senior Living in North County San Diego. We found Westmont of Encinitas and saw that every review that we checked was great. We moved our Mom in at the beginning of June. The facilities are immaculate, the food delicious-85% made from scratch, activities abundant, staff professional and attentive. Westmont is big enough that there is a nice variety of residents with lots of interests but small enough that everyone knows each other. The residents are very active in their Resident Council and the administration is very receptive to their concerns and questions. The absolute best part is how welcoming they are to the residents (not cliquey at all!) and so welcoming to any family and friend that spends time at Westmont. The staff spends lots of time interacting with residents and it really feels like a big happy family!

Hello from Westmont Senior Living in Encinitas, My is [name removed] I am 91 years old and I have been a resident at Westmont for 2 years. From the first day I walked into Westmont I was greeted by warm and welcoming residents and staff. I was escorted to meals by a resident and made to feel welcomed at any ones table. Our Directors doors are always open to address our concerns and needs. [name removed] heads our nursing staff to make sure our medical needs are addressed. Our Activity Director provides us we exercise programs, movies,music and events that bring pleasure to the residents. We have an on site gym staffed by Registered Physical Therapist and certified Physical Therapist Asssitance with outstanding qualifications. I am living my life in this warm and friendly environment and I invite you to come visit us , you will be most welcomed.

From the moment I walked in to this stunning new community I knew this was the place for my mom! She loved all of the activites and dining choices! [name removed] was so kind and patient, we had lunch and found the perfect apartment for her after reviewing our options. Don't miss out on the wonderfull senior living option!

Westmont is great, with some glitches at times--mainly communication. Sometimes scheduled activities change or canceled. Is it possible to let residents know ahead of time?Life Loop has been mentioned but not known by most residents, especially newcomers. Caregivers are very good and quicker to respond now that there are more hired. Most stressful for them is the morning breakfast rush with dressing, showers, and tray delivery, all at the same time. It makes me feel rushed too. Residents Council is great for discussing our needs and give positive feed back on other actions. New activities like art, games like Jeopardy, are great, also the musical entertainment. I have found that assisted living here is very good overall, better than I ever expected.

When I first went there with my mom to check it out, we were very pleased with the welcome. [name removed], who oversees operation, was very accommodating with our immediate needs, as my dad had to leave his previous hospice care. She recommended a private doctor to help expedite the required medical forms that Kaiser was very slow on. During my mom’s passing, she went well out of her way to help us adapt to the new situation and make arrangements. The staffing she has there clearly relates to her own empathetic nature.They are all around very engaging and friendly, welcoming my dad and making him feel cared for. He expressed many times how nice everyone is! Some even came just to visit him from his previous ward there that he transferred from. It wasn’t part of their job, they just wanted to say hi! Facility wise, he loves the movies, exercise, and sitting reading on the outdoor balcony. It’s a beautiful place to check out!! Many love it, judging from the reputation it has around town.
