Westmont Living

A few months ago I asked a friend when she decided the time was right to enter into Senior Living. Her response gave me food for thought. She said whatever you do have a plan. If tomorrow you can not care for yourself or think for yourself you need a plan in place. So I started visiting Senior Facilities. I had a calling to Westmont as the location was in my present neighborhood. Met with Sales Manager [name removed] for tour. As we went from floor to floor I noticed [name removed] knew every patient by name including their care givers names. Each area was spotlessly clean, no odor and smiling residents. About two weeks later I called [name removed] and she remembered my name and asked if she could help. Helped she did, she recommended a company named Moving Assistance that truly made my move perfect. I am a happy resident now and everyone I have met , both staff and residents are friendly, helpful and responsive. Make a plan so your family does not need to make one for you.

I wanted to share my experience with the new management of this community. My sister is a resident there and we’ve met the new manager executive director [name removed]. He has impressed me by far with his personality and kindness. He has made my family and sister feel at home. The other residents in the community seem very happy and we enjoy the food at this community. The community is beautiful and well kept. You would feel safe placing your family here at this great community.

I had the opportunity to visit this facility, and I must say, it made a strong impression. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. The staff stand out for their professionalism and genuine kindness. They are attentive to the needs of the residents and seem to foster a true sense of community. The care provided is both compassionate and comprehensive, with personalized plans that cater to individual needs.

I know that my dad is in good hands because of the amazing staff of Westmont. I’ve seen the compassion of the caregivers and the persons-in-charge. They make us feel secure and confident that all my father’s needs are well attended to.

The dining facilities feel and operate like a restaurant with windows on both sides it is welcoming Open eating from 7am-7pm and the high ceilings throughout the facility make the entire Westmont feel so open and relaxing. As far as the activities go, I would like to see more planned outings, and some type of 'newcomers' group to make new people more inclusive.

I toured with [Name Removed], and found this new community to be a beautiful one! The residents were very involved with the activities when I visited, and everyone I met was very helpful and welcoming to me as well!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Westmont of Carmel Valley and I can confidently say that it is an exceptional place for seniors to call home. Fron the moment you step into this beautiful lobby you can sense the welcoming and warm atmosphere that permeates the entire community. The apartments are large and spacious and all have full size washers and dryers.

My ex husband is quite happy there. The staff has called me immediately after he fell and again when he needed just a band aid. After looking at 2 or 3 other places, I think the value for cost is good (although pricey, but isn't everything?) I would highly recommend The Terraces.

I have been here 2.5 yrs! I am very pleased with all aspects! The chef is wonderful-food choices are. healthy ones! Health Care if needed is available! House Cleaning is done once A week and they do great! Living here is like a five-star notel! Caregivers- some residents feel we Need a few more

i moved in 2 years ago and have been very happy here. The staff is friendly.

Staff works hard to provide quality outings, food, experiences, etc. But we need better screening of the needs of new residents (many seem too needy.)

I moved in as one of the founders club. I enjoy all the activities. Food is good as well. Employees are friendly + helpful

If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! WTC has gone above and beyond. The residence is gorgeous, every employee is professional and caring, and the food is wonderful. WTC greets the residents with sincerity and a smile. Whether your love one is in memory care, assisted-living, or independent living, WTC provides exceptional service with love and respect. We are in awe, blessed, and feel incredibly grateful. My 78 year old sister in law moved in on [date removed]. She had been in a post acute facility as a result of a brain bleed, surgery, and strokes.She has limited sight, uses a walker, incontinent, and requires assistance with her daily needs (showering, housekeeping, laundry, meals, etc.). She can no longer do chores, like hang up her clothes, and greatly appreciates the help. She has a call-button necklace should she need immediate assistance. She absolutely loves her new community and is getting familiar with the various activities and opportunities to socialize.Thank you.

This staff is wonderful. The setting is beautiful. The food is good too. Everyone treats you nicely and friendly! The transportation & shopping is excellent! The swimming pool is so good during the summer time. The technology class is really helpful. Overall it’s a lovely place!

What our family likes the most about Westmont of Riverside is the friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness of the community. Our loved one looks forward to all the meals that are prepared and we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

I was looking for a place for Dad when he started to need more care with ADLs and becoming more confused. And also looking for a higher standard of professionalism. Dad feels cared for and loved at the memory care unit at the Oaks. In his last residence Dad did not participate in the activities and was isolated in his room. He is starting to come out and join some of the activities now and become more social. The on-site therapy group is really doing a great job and Dad is safer on his walker now and getting in and out of the car and chairs more safely. I really like the communication system. When they know I’m coming to take Dad somewhere they take care to make sure he is ready to go. Raquel, the director, does a real good job. She is available to talk to me about Dad and really helpful. The staff appear well-trained and all are genuinely loving toward my Dad and others. They invite family to celebrations and special fun activities. I highly recommend the Oaks at Nipomo.

It's a great place.

The staff at Westmont were all very helpful. Of particular interest is the fact that they were kind enough to downgrade my mom, who was a resident of the memory care unit at Westmont from level 2 to level 1 after she had been there for a month because their initial assessment was revised. This meant that her monthly rental rate for her room was reduced by $1,500. They also made it retroactive to the beginning of her stay there. Something they volunteered to do without me having to ask for a change. The staff in the memory care unit were all very friendly and kind to my mom, forming personal connections with her as much as it is possible to do with an Alzheimer's patient. We also enjoyed having lunch in the main dining area just outside the memory care unit. My mom particularly enjoyed the fish and chips being originally from Scotland 😋. I liked them too as I would usually share her meal. The wait staff in the dining room were also very attentive to our needs. Overall my mom's experience at Westmont and mine too has been very positive.

They're all very nice and caring. Mom loves it there. As far as the food goes, They all agree that the food is too dry. They've asked for sauces or gravy to make it better.
