A Place for Mom has scored WellQuest Living with 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 155 reviews in the last 2 years. Over all time, WellQuest Living has 591 reviews with an average "overall experience" of 4.2 out of 5.
Everything is as expected except fot the dining experience. Staff is friendly & inviting. The meals are like high school cafeteria. Not much professionality in dining experiance. Feels a bit unclean. Washing seats with the same towel as washing table. Serving cookies & bread (no plate) on the table...I would expect a bit more professionalism & cleanliness. Nutrition comes to question? Have you tried the salad? Or the quesadilla? Not very remarkable! Otherwise, mom is pretty happy! Must work on food to keep her in this property!

very large, new, most expensive I toured. Memory care seemed a way to keep residents and not a real program or trained staff. The salesperson broke patient privacy a number of times and that concerned me. Probably second choice of the ones I saw but we couldn't have afforded it.

Nice, older facility. Many on staff are nice and caring, but policy keeps them from providing all the support that resident may need. Fine place for fully functioning residents. Not great for folks needing more help. Not too helpful when residents are in transition. Did not respond well to family involvement, even though they said they wanted involvement. Words and actions did not match. I found we were overcharged for things (different than contract and written materials) and they were unwilling to correct $$ problems when they were pointed out.

There's a very steep learning curve trying to figure out how to get your family member's needs met. And there's no one to help you figure it out, so good luck. They say that they can do things and offer services, but then they have to backtrack on it because they can't actually offer those services. And that's after speaking to management. They tell me they'll take care of everything. It'll all be fine. And then it's not. And there is no one anywhere to help me negotiate this.

Speaking from the assisted living side (not memory care) - staff generally helpful and friendly. Since COVID-19 hit, kitchen and dining room shut down, resident interactions discouraged and and family visits prohibited. Residents encouraged to remain in their room as much as possible. On the positive side, pandemic not a big impact to health at CV. Prepackaged meals delivered to residents rooms based upon resident menu selection, but meal quality taken a nosedive since 3rd qtr 2019. Many meat and poultry servings are comparable to jerky smothered in sauce or gravy. Vegetables on the warm but rare side of uncooked. Portions now smaller because residents not eating as much. Rates increased in excess of inflation in less than a years occupancy.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my mother and I have to say that I was not very impressed with my experience. The hallways where very dark as well as the carpet and it was just a depressing atmosphere. They also could use some more green and flowers in the courtyard are. I will say that the rooms they had where very large and I loved the balconies they had attached to the bedrooms. It was just to dim of a place for my mother to go to .

[Removed] at the front desk of the assisted living center is GREAT!!! She is so friendly and welcoming whenever you walk in to visit. The dining (Salmon Grill) is only fair; menu is limited, food quality is average, food prices are kind of high for the quality. My main peeve with the dining is the silverware and glassware are dirty and spotty which for an at risk clientele is unthinkable. Staff in the dining room are very friendly also. I think the place is over priced considering everything is an add on. I don't think the "medical" staff are up to par - when a client's blood pressure was very high, the staff member was "I guess I could call the advice nurse and let her know" when the family member questioned how high it was. I also don't think the facility fully is aware of a client's condition since the person I am talking about has dementia and confusion yet staff believe them fully when they say they are going out for the night (when he isn't) or they believe him when he was he ate when he hasn't. I know this person is not in memory care and only in assisted living but for the price I would think the staff should know each client in full. Overall the place is clean and there are a lot of activities but they seem to be geared to more retired folk that are fully functional that live there and not necessarily toward the cognitively diminished or dementia folk. I think it is a good place to live if you are retired and don't want to deal with a house (on permanent vacation) but I personally am not real keen on the facility for dementia, lower cognitive, etc. folk - place is huge and activities not geared toward them.

This place has among the worst parking I have seen for a quality facility. There is rarely a place on their tiny lot on on the street for family and visitors to park. They allow some parking underground in the west bldg which is a pain to use. They refuse to add more parking in the grassy area up front and will not give a reason why not. They are completely unresponsive on this one issue which to me is major. Why would I want to live where it is not easy to come to visit me due to the rotten parking? I have given them a suggestion on how to remedy this, but it was completely ignored. They planned for little parking to begin with then added the 2nd building with no thought to the further inconvenience in parking that it brought.

They say their food is fresh and from local sources as if you will be getting fresh produce. That is not the case. They serve the worst iceberg lettuce and canned vegetables. They don't have healthy food. It's Gordon food service type food and no accommodations for special diets like low sodium or diabetic menu. I hope they allow us to recoup the money spent for meals we did not eat. We bought the package deal. Their common area bathroom has been remodeled and is not Ada compliant. The door is too heavy there is no push button. The toilet seats are way too low. The apartments are very tiny.

We moved our family members out after 3 months because their needs were not being met. Our original sales person was fabulous until the day we moved them in. On the positive side, place was clean, pleasant dining room with good food and [name removed] at the front desk is probably the best employee with good communication and follow through. But overall. We felt our family members slipped through the cracks. For example. We paid for laundry service, but if our family forgot to put it out by the door, it wasn't done. Staff was aware of the memory issues, but didn't remind them so dirty laundry accumulated in the closet.

Memory care was dated. Air conditioning unit was an issue as my Dad didn't know how to use. The room was hot and stuffy in the afternoon. Staff was good, dealing with difficult combative behavior from my Dad. The entire experience was heartbreaking and the management was not as sympathetic. Hospice team was most helpful.
