Watermark Retirement Communities

The reception my mother and I got from Michael Bruno when we first toured Rose Tree Place was first class. When meeting us for the first time, he said to my mother "Mary you just got your hair done, it looks beautiful." I knew from that comment that Michael was a detailed oriented individual (we had just come from the hair salon)!! He made us, especially my mother, feel so very welcomed. During our tour, Michael acknowledged everyone by name, both residents and staff members. It was obvious he cared about each individual. Mom and I toured four other communities. After each tour I would ask her what she thought and she always responded "I like Rose Tree." The interesting thing about Rose Tree is, it was not even on my initial radar. A Place For Mom recommended Rose Tree as a possibility. Had it not been for that organization, mom would now be living in a different community. During the decision process, Michael called periodically to see if we had any questions. Other communities were more interested in the sale versus the correct fit for mom. Michael Bruno was concerned about my mom. Even though Michael has left Rose Tree Place and is now employed at A Place For Mom, he still reached out to me to see how my mom's move went. The support and compassion Michael has for the elderly is unsurpassable. Thank you Michael. PS. My mom has been at Rose Tree for less than 1 week. I will review again after some time has gone by to accurately rate the care, activities, etc.

I wouldn't have any problems giving them a 4. There is nurse that doesn't communicate well, but the aids that are there, the ones that take them to the living room and feed them, who are really taking care of my mother, they are fabulous. The amdin has been great, I've talked to the higher ups and they're great. I go to Eileen who is very helpful, everyone above that one nurse is fabulous. The staff is all very nice and very caring. I've shopped around and the cost is great, I do wish they would encourage her to walk more and be able to be more varied with the kind fo food they're giving her. The have her on pureed food and they can't switch to solids when she can eat them. That's their policy, I don't know where it comes from, if its state regulation or what but I do understand where they're coming from. I haven't seen alot fo activities, I go at dinner time, but I've seen them bowling and doing a music thing, they were having a good time.

The staff were so nice to mom, they would even come to visit her in her room.

Great food, friendly staff, a little bit expensive, but it is Bellevue so you have to expect that. I have had a few minor complaints but they have mostly centered around confusion regarding whether mom's caretaker is responsible for something or if the staff is supposed to be doing something. I also need to better understand the billing for my mom's care, but that is likely my own problem since I am allowing for a flexible settling in period which hasn't fully locked in the care. Still, in contrast to the care that my mother in law gets at Auburn Meadows, Auburn Meadows staff seem to be more diligent recording how much time is spent helping each resident. Billing at the Watermark seems to be based upon an estimate at the beginning of the month that doesn't automatically get adjusted based upon what actually happens. When I complained about the first month, they made a significant adjustment, but I haven't taken the time to fully evaluate her second and third months yet to see.

While everyone is very nice and friendly, there are procedural things that are poorly executed. Paperwork not processed on time, miscommunication between administrators and staff, difficulty communicating with anyone beyond the front desk person. Some information has to be requested, and if you don't know what to request you won't get that information.

It doesn't sound like the same. People will be still there if it reopens... I liked the diversity of food for the supper time and the friendliness of everybody that was involved. It's an amazingly usable location. If we could have stayed we would have

Care services - some promises were made but were not followed through with in regards to care. Food - My mom reports the food is not great, meals are repeated for lunch and dinner, staff in dining room unfriendly.

White Cliffs is expensive but it's worth it. The people are nice and friendly. The nurses care for their patients. It's clean.

The food is good although my 104 year old mother complains. The staff is all very friendly.

The care givers are fantastic. They really try to help the residents have the best life they possibly can. The facility is a bit on the old side though it is generally well maintained. The only real issue is heating and cooling. They can only do one or the other so sometimes the room is too warm.

The staff was enormously helpful with getting everything approved and set up prior to moving in. Once moved in, all communication seemed to cease. As there was no follow-up once settled. Our move-in coordinator was no longer employed with the company. Also, there is no convenient plan of care follow up as indicated during our interview for our Assisted Living Resident. We (the family) was told to just reach it to the doctor for any questions. Then the FOOD??. We have been told it is left over lunch pretty much with a little something different added. At times, the food is unrecognizable. When the dinning hall manager was confronted and concerns were expressed, he told us to just send him a text of when dinner was not satisfying. The menu is just basic and not good quality standards for the money paid and for someone that is relying on someone to provide quality food when you can't do it yourself. Lastly, there seems to be NO updates of current events (newsletters or meetings) for Assisted Living residents or families to chime in.

I recommend Watermark! Facility is very new, maybe a year & a half to 2 yrs old. Very luxurious decor. Caregivers r courteous & attentive & caring towards the residents. Between lunch & dinner 1 caregiver does educational stuff w/the residents, and exercise so the residents r engaged & not bored. Very good food! I've had my mom in 2 other memory care facilities. Compared to the other 2 this one is the best

Staff is wonderful and so helpful. [names removed]and all the people in Concierge have been great. Have bent over backwards to make Mom's transition seamless. The only issue that Mom has made me acutely aware of is she's not a fan of the food. She's never had any nutritional guidelines that she follows. I'm sure it's bland by her standards.

The facility itself is beautiful and has a lovely garden that residents can easily access. Would recommend, but with caveat that the activities need improvement. There is 1 person that does it all. On his days off, they watch tv

The staff at blue Bell is for the most part very very good. Caring friendly on top of issues for the most part. I would clearly say a nine out of 10. [name removed], the Director Of Nursing is outstanding.

I was a respite patient so my experience is different from most. I had a short stay to recover from surgery. The majority of the staff is wonderful and caring, the food was delicious and varied. There were enough activities to keep you entertained during the day but almost nothing at night. 20 year old movies didn't appeal to me when I could stream current movies on my tablet. I guess you could say that sums up the whole living experience there: dated. The facility and furnishings are adequate but need updating badly. Many doors and restrooms are not handicapped accessible. Even ones that are supposed to be don't work. What's up with that? There are beautiful outdoor spaces to use but are extremely difficult to access, unmaintained and generally ignored by the staff. Like I said above, the direct care nursing staff and the kitchen staff really made me feel comfortable and cared for.

What we like the best about the community is the available activity's. What they could improve on our be the communication between departments is terrible, anything having to do with care points is a block wall

The staff is always very helpful. What is nice--everyone greets you by your name from day one. Made me feel that I mattered. Facility is clean and comfortable. There is no chef at this time. Hoping for someone who can cook. The ordering needs to be improved greatly. They are always out of food that is popular--need to increase the quantity.

Nice facility, good food, friendly staff and great location. It was newer and nicer. Downside its too expensive

I think we've been mostly disappointed in the food but pleased with most everything else so far.
