I cannot say in general that there was anything that I liked about the community but they can definitely improve on their patient care or don't take patients that need this much care. She was a full care patient many times I would walk in there her food tray setting too high for her to reach no one helping feed her things she was not supposed to eat I would have to try to help her eat because she was starving yeah I was not real pleased with this situation

They expect all people to have computers and printers when this is not the case. I struggled to set up paying my bills. After many correspondences I finally accomplished getting my bills paid. I was concerned about my credit score. I don’t like being late or confused.

I liked the look, smell and feel of it. We had a very good experience with Ashford. Except for one very bad experience. I would use them again.

I would say to definitely visit a handful of locations before making a decision. It will help you what to expect with memory care. We felt Ashford had the best physical layout with the outdoor courtyard being surrounded by the building. We liked the loop where the residents can get to common areas or their room regardless of which way they go. The staff has been good and has given us reasonable expectations. My mother-in-law has gained weight which is a good thing.

We toured The Ashford of Grove City and it was a nice facility. We had a good tour. The cleanliness, friendliness, and staff were all good. However, we believed that our loved one aligned with the activities more at another facility that we had toured than they would have at this facility.

I would say they are very good and caring and have a lot to offer. The rooms and facilities are very nice and clean. That being said, they are short staffed like most places and things didn't always go as planned. Most staff are very caring, but there was a nurse or two that occasionally was grumpy. Occasionally she didn't get her shower, when scheduled, or her laundry done or trash emptied. One night they forgot to put her in bed and she sat in her chair all night and no one noticed. The staff was properly appalled and apologetic. The staff was very concerned and reactive when we had a concern. My loved one would complain that they took too long '30 minutes' to answer her call light. We were there every day and we would time them. When they came, my loved one would say "see! It was 30 minutes!". We would correct her and tell her that we had timed them and it was only 7 minutes. I don't think she believed us, but it was true. She liked the nurses aides, for the most part, and definitely had favorites that she looked forward to seeing.

My loved one is still settling in and there were some glitches in communication and with staffing levels but they are improving. A major move is never easy and takes time to adjust to. But it is worth the effort.

Seems to be a good place for someone who is actually willing to use all of the services. The rooms are big from what we've seen and over all, a decent experience. As I would assume with most, once you get done fighting to get services set up (Dr., Psych and PT) everything seems to run well. I think a lot of it has to do with the family member-resident's attitude and verifying reality from perception. Also, as with medical care or any other services for senior dependents, families have to be advocates for their relatives. Also a reminder to be advocates with understanding and determination. Meaning, while the costs appear to be of that level, these facilities are not resorts and things change. Keeping that perspective helps one advocate and stay in front of your family member.

They are doing good with the medication management. They are really nice, when they offer one-on-one care. They could improve on the cleanliness of the room. We picked this community, because it looked the best and the marketing person was outstanding.

Overall it has been a good experience so far, but we do wish it was a little cleaner that has been out biggest complaint. The house keeping could use some improvement and consistency. However the staff members have been great to work with, they are very friendly and our loved one is well taken care of. We will even ask them how they are being treated and no complaints at all. We have seen a few of the meals and our loved one seems to be quite happy. They haven't participated in the activities yet but there is plenty offered throughout the week, we have seen things listed on their bulletin board and seen different group activities. Since our loved one is not paying for nursing care, but just a higher form of assisted living care the value is just fine.

We chose Oakleaf Village because of the location and the familiarity of the area and also mom knew people from her condo complex who were here and had a good experience. The apartment sizes are appropriate for one individual, not too large and not too small. We are really happy with the nursing staff that is here, especially [name removed]. The residents all seem to be very welcoming and staff have been friendly and helpful. Overall we are satisfied and would recommend them.

We chose The Ashford because it was very clean, everyone was super friendly, and they have a 2 year program where you pay 2 years and then Medicaid takes over. [name removed] the girl who took us around was great. They are having issues finding staff as everyone is. The staff who are there are willing to go the extra mile to make up for it. I would tell others to make sure to tell others un the beginning to be there for your loved one since they are short staffed, It takes a little while for them to get acclimated and know what your loved ones needs are. The administrative staff to are very hands on. They have plenty of activities provided and they love the food. I would recommend them to others looking.

It was the nicest that I viewed and also the cheapest. It has worked out good. My only issue is when I first signed my loved one up, he signed him up for a haircut monthly and he has yet to get one and its been 2 months. I had to take him to get his haircut outside the facility due to this.

Have been pleased with Oakleaf to date. The people are nice and have been as helpful as mom allows. Mom is getting more comfortable with her new surroundings and has begun to participate in the activities provided.

I think the biggest issue right now is they are having staffing shortages. My loved one has had problems with getting her room cleaned properly, but they're trying to remedy that. They've had a Covid outbreak as well. But overall things are good. The care is good. She seems to like the food. She also seems to really like the activities. They're just having staffing issues, like everybody else right now.
