Viva Senior Living

My mother has been a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community for nearly a year, and it truly feels like home for her. Before choosing Heritage Hill, we explored several senior living options, but none offered the warmth and sense of community we found here. The staff is wonderful, always ready to provide updates on her well-being whenever we call, and we are welcome to visit her anytime. During our visits, we see her actively participating in activities, enjoying her meals, and living in a clean, welcoming environment. Heritage Hill’s team has also gone above and beyond to meet her medical needs, arranging transportation and companionship whenever she requires care at outside facilities. They have fully embraced her as part of the community, helping her engage in activities and making her feel truly at home. My family and I couldn't be more grateful for Heritage Hill Senior Community.

I wish Heritage Hill was our first choice to place my wife who has advanced Alzheimer’s disease. But it was not and had to move her. I am writing this after a year of her being at Heritage Hill. The entire staff has given us peace of mind knowing she is taken care of and just importantly she is given attention and love. The first time I walked in I felt like I was in someone’s home and that has not changed. The facility is beautifully decorated and well maintained. The staff in the memory care wing are well trained and Heritage Hill provides ongoing training both internal and with external agencies. No issue has arisen that has not been promptly addressed with satisfactory results. If you are looking for a place that gets it, Heritage Hill is worth checking out.

My father moved here from a highly rated luxury facility near Philadelphia. We moved him to Heritage Hill to bring him closer to family. Although that facility looked prettier, the care at Heritage Hill was far superior. Heritage Hill accepted my father as one of the family, was responsive to his needs, and gave him comfort in the last few months of his life. The staff were genuinely caring and responsive to his needs. The housekeeping and laundry service was far better than his previous residence. He received all of these services for a little more than half the price of the previous facility. 5 Stars all around!!

The place is spotless. All of the staff are wonderful. Meals seem to be repetitive, but my mother is okay with them. I would suggest more fresh fruit. Staff is always ready to help or assist anyway they can. Rooms are fairly large with plenty of storage room.

Tried a different NH for my mother in law with memory and health issues but were very disappointed and searched for a different facility. We found Viva Senior Living in Harrisburg (PA). What a great place. Not only is it less expensive than the terrible place we first were fooled by, the room is LARGE, she has a private shower, the food is made on site instead of trucked in premade and wrapped. Most importantly the staff is involved and kind. They respect her preferences, as long as they are not detrimental to her (i.e. they allow her to sleep late but do get her up for lunch). They check on her often and care for her well. Should the time come when I need assisted living I would definitely choose Viva Senior Living.

We are very grateful to [name removed] and the staff at Viva Personal Care Home for helping to re-enroll my brother into Viva. He was not taking care of himself at home and it became a safety issue. [name removed], as I said before, went over and beyond to help our family with the logistics of getting him back into Viva. Her kindness and concern for my brother's welfare was sincere as well as the staff at Viva. My husband and I have peace of mind knowing that my brother is in a wonderful and caring personal care home.

My parents are living there and are very well taken care of. They are taken care of medically. Also if my parents need anything they also are taken care. I am very happy that they are living there. I do not have to worry about them,

No inquiry or request is too small to receive help and service Viva for patients or caregivers. They make me feel comfortable leaving family in their care. Thank you all, forgive me for not personally thanking each of the staff each time I am there, but I hope you know you are all appreciated. [name removed]

I have appreciated every aspect of the transition of my sister's move into Viva. It was a great on-boarding experience - from the initial conversation - to the good pace of learning what our expectations needed to be - to a smooth move into the facility. I can't say enough about [name removed] and their great team!

We are very pleased with the care Mom is receiving at Viva. Meals always look good and there are endless activities for the residents to do. I would like to thank everyone there for the daily care they give to Mom.

My husband’s parents are here, one is in personal care and one is in memory care. We have such peace of mind knowing they are in a safe place and being well cared for. The staff and residents are friendly. The place is homey looking, not institutional looking. Their rooms are a nice size and they seem to all have a window in each room. Highly recommend.

I currently have both my mother and my father living at Viva Senior Living. Mom’s in Personal Care and Dad’s in Memory Care. I moved them to Viva from a different facility because of Viva’s home-like qualities. When I toured Viva, it was apparent both the residents and the staff were happy and enjoying their time there. And when the tour went through the dining area, it smelled wonderful, like a home cooked meal! They handle all of my parents needs, including prescription medication management (at home, they were always getting their pills mixed up and missing doses), assistance with daily tasks like dressing and bathing, rides to doctors appointments, and anything else that arises. I feel they go the extra mile to make the residents feel at home. I highly recommend Viva for your loved ones if they find they need some extra help. P.S. They have a fantastic activities director that keeps the residents engaged in fun games and entertainment!

With the type of dementia, my grandfather has, the staff has been wonderful and dealing with his temperaments, and I couldn’t ask for better employees at Viva Senior Living .[names removed]have gone way above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that my grandfather is taking care of. It is clean and the activities are great. Very reassuring that my grandfather is safe and well taken care of.

My father moved to Viva in [date removed]. He was welcomed with open arms from day one. I am so thankful for the amazing staff at Viva. I know that my father and the rest of the residents are in good and caring hands. Thank you Viva!! You deserve 10-stars.

We were astounded that all aspects of the move went without any glitches. [name removed]was wonderful to work with. She saw that nothing went wrong. Even went to the doctor’s office to see that paperwork was completed.

Our loved one really liked Canterfield and the people and the nurses. The double room is excellent. The meals are not the best, but they really are trying to get their food program in order but hiring is difficult.

Oak Pointe has been a blessing for my father since he lost his wife/our mom. He can be as social as he wants to be, when he wants to be. We've noticed an improvement in his attitude and well being since he move here in [date removed]. He's happy and gladly admits that mom knew best when she said that he belonged in a place to help him be comfortable and taken care of if she couldn't do it; I wish we found it before she passed away because she would have been happy here. We/his children can't be with him all of the time, and now don't worry about him falling and not being able to get up or forgetting to take his meds. When I visit, I often find him playing cards or chatting with others by the Keurig. The layout is great to get some exercise. They have recumbent bikes for residents use. I recommend this facility to anyone that is in a similar situation. It's not home, but it's a very close second (maybe better because he doesn't have to cook/clean!).

My mother is a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community. In her words..... "The staff is so nice and caring. The food is really good. And the best part is all the activities I can be a part of." Hearing this makes me feel confident that she is being well taken care of. The cost to live at Heritage Hill is well within her budget and that was one of the important factors in choosing Heritage Hill Senior Community.

The staff is always warm and welcoming my to visiting family members. They take care of our family member with such care. Providing all they need to be well and live as independent as possible. We love it there.

We were very happy with The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, we highly recommend it. I did not personally attend any meals or activities there. We were happy with the cost.
