Viva Senior Living

What we like the most about Viva Senior Living is the overall friendly atmosphere and I would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

We were overall satisfied with the care they provided Mom and Dad. Two points of concern. First, the food is mediocre at best. They told us they had a chef on staff but the food was equivalent to a school cafeteria. Second, they were short-staffed more often than we thought they should be, so sometimes they were slow in responding to the call button.

Most all of the staff is very friendly and they do have a new activity director who keeps everyone engaged. They could improv on the quality of care by hiring and retention of staff. There are occasionally gaps in communication between the staff and the family members.

It's small and personalized. Very homey. There's always room for improvement for everyone.

We liked it & she liked it Her room was very nice and the staff were wonderful She fell & broke bones and needed to go into a Rehab for PT The assessment is that she needs skilled nursing & won't be able to return to Seneca Lake Terrace We wish she could go back

Staff is very friendly. I do wish they would let you know if resident needs anything( toiletries etc) but no complaints. Our family member seems happy and adjusted. Maybe more musical events but we are pleased with the care she is receiving. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

We have had major issues with regard to medications, getting them ordered and administered on schedule. Ultimately we have taken that responsibility back and administering them ourselves. The quality of the food as well as the portion sizes has been extremely disappointing. I will say that staff and the administration are quick to respond with any questions or concerns.Honestly overall my mom is happy and that's what matters most.

What we like the most about Viva Senior Living is the size of the community, it is on the smaller side. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend the Viva Senior Living community to other families.

Great community of residents.

Very friendly. Over the past year had a floor from the sprinkler that caused quite a mess overall very pleased. The front desk has 1 employee that is outstanding and extremely helpful. I am still questioning some of this. Hearing some stories from my dad about some uncomfortable situations. No complaints about the meals and dining except when shut down due to outbreak of Covid or norovirus. It sounds like activities are well planned but my dad does not participate in most of them. Hard stop compare but there was a price increase last year and there is another one coming. I know everything is going up so not overly concerned

Staff is very caring. Both the director, [name removed] and resident care director, [name removed] are RNs who have specialized in dementia and memory care. The activity director spot had been vacant since we started there. She just started [date removed] and appears to be doing well

The only reason the overall score was 4, is that getting paperwork for long-term insurance has not always been submitted in a timely manner. We have always had great communication with the staff and they have been attentive to mom's needs and well-being.

The activities person was exceptional with my Mom. Another person in the kitchen helped Mom a lot with bathing. They were very short on help, which caused issues. Mom went on hospice last year and that helped a lot. You get what you pay for I guess. We could not afford some of the other facilities.

I would definitely recommend Oak Pointe! They tend to have the same challenge as all of these facilities; staying fully staffed! But with the exception of one person, who is no longer there, we felt like the staff genuinely cared for our mother. The night we lost mom, in August of 2023, we had many staff members who were not even on duty, stay with us to provide comfort to our family. The facility also provided a bus for residents and staff who wanted to attend mom's visitation; even though it was an hour away! We felt very fortunate that we found Oak Pointe for mom. It is expensive to live there, but mother had a Long Term Care policy that helped offset the

I would recommend Terrace. They have a friendly staff and keep the lines of communication open. Although they lack the modern furnishings of many assisted living facilities they keep up regularly scheduled activities, the food is decent and the overall environment is suitable, particularly for middle class background elderly. [name removed] the owner does a good job and appears interested in performing well. Some staff are more personable than others but I expect that is true at all such facilities. The cost value is appropriate as well.

I love Fox Rehab who works with my dad at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill. They are so great and effective. Some of the staff members are more than excellent. They make up for those who are a bit below average. I would recommend The Terrace at Chestnut Hill and if I had to do this all again, I would use them again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful although our family member complains that the staff is slow or unresponsive to his needs or requests. The food is excellent, the rooms and common areas are kept very clean and smell fresh. Laundry is provided although not done as well as it would be "at home". There is a very family friendly atmosphere and everyone seems to know one another. We are very comfortable having our parent there.

We have enjoyed the community so far and feel the staff there has treated my mom well.

I would recommend your facility. The only negative I have in mind is that there was a period with a lot of turnover. Too many employees were living in the same period for whatever reason.

The memory care director is phenomenal. I would definately recommend Belle Reeve to other people. The only thing that I would change is to make it a lot brighter inside. Lighting is VERY low.
