They were absolutely fantastic with my mom. Everyone is just so sincere and seemed to take a real special interest in her. The value is really hard to figure out because they made room for my mom. I was so desperate and I needed to find a place. They brought in a bed for my mom and she and another woman shared a room. The idea was to transfer her to the Ellen's Home in Germantown but my mom suffered a stroke and we just couldn't move her.

They were fantastic! I wanted my mother there so bad! It was maybe 10 minutes tops from my house. What really impressed me was the director, Elaine. She was just phenomenal. She took the time to talk to me and she even went to the hospital to do an evaluation of my mom. She worked really hard to get us in there. I thought she was really great. She seemed to really care.

We're very happy there, the cleanliness is good, don't get the wrong idea, it's just an old building, but it's good. The staff is really, really friendly, really nice, the care seems to be excellent, my mother is really happy there and she's actually doing better since she's been there. She's doing activities, she's engaged there. The value... we didn't expect to find a place that's close to us, that she likes that much and that she can afford. The food, that's another one, She says it's great but I'm not sure, but she's happy with it, her only complaint is that they give her too much.

Cleanliness is a real good thing here, not just the rooms but they're redoing some of the hallways because they have carpet on some of the floors and that was a problem. But more so the patients and my mom in particular is so much better kept although she is assisted living and doesn't need a lot more help she does need a little and she's much more well done. She has incontinency issues so that being said she's much more well kept. Her living quarters are spotlessly clean and the common areas are real clean. She's in the memory care group and they meet daily, monday through friday and it seems to be beneficial. The people there are extremely kind, they're just always pleasant and caring. It is older, old fashioned furniture, old wood, heavier stuff but there's a nice enclosed garden that my mom has had fun going to. She's walking better, eating better, has no resistance as far as taking her medicine, her memory is going but she's happy.

It's a lot of money but it's worth it to spend. She's being taken care of 24/7 and I think that she's very well placed. They have more staff and there's more structured activity. I would recommend it to anybody, they kind of view the home as the residents home, not as a place that they work at so they try to find out thigns about the residents like what they were interested in before they were stricken by Alzheimer's or dementia. My mother liked to sew so they went and got something like a child's sewing kit to keep her mind going and they cook and they do everything they are able to do at their stage of the disease. The staff all has a sense of humor, they are very lighthearted, they know how to deal with people with advancing disease and they know that residents aren't really in control of what they do or say so they're very well equipped.

When we visited the community our loved one seemed to really like it. They had financial opportunities down the line that would meet our situation and our request. The apartments are nice size; we wanted something with plenty of room because she would be going from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment. Cathy worked with us and was wonderful. She was not pushy but gave us all the information we needed and would show us how everything would work. She was very helpful and accommodating and it seemed like they wanted to find the best fit rather then just force us in here.

Visit went very well. Kathy was extremely helpful and answered a lot of our questions. Definitely considering strongly as a possibility for my mom.

Food was excellent, everyone was friendly and helpful, my mother has now moved in and is very happy. They have a "savy circle" for Alzheimer patients that allows them time to interact with others, they have a beauty salon and trips out to various places. I love the place. My mother is happy and I feel she is being well taken care of.

I have only seen this one Community but have the impression that it would be a good one for my parents.

This is an excellent community for my loved one. For what you receive it is worth it and depending on where your loved one is at physically and mentally this is a great location.

We chose Autumn Green because of the proximity to family, the overall value for the dollar spent, I also thought the cleanliness of the facility was attractive. The location is also near a lot of shopping. The apartment sizes are good. I would recommend to others looking.

We had a tour of Autumn Green today, preparing to find a home for my mother-in-law. [Name removed] took us around and we were so very impressed! We think this will be the perfect fit for her. Can't comment on the care, but the facilities and amenities are top of the line in this area. Hopefully, finances will allow this move to a secure, fun, clean, bright, caring, engaging next chapter.

My mother had end stage Parkinsons and we choose Ellen's home for their facility and caring staff. She was there for about 5 weeks until the end. My dad tried to keep her at home as long as he was able but ultimately we recognized she needed professional care. This was my dad's, and my, first experience with facility based care and we were concerned that a wrong decision at this point would be detrimental for all of us- particularly my mother. I am here to say that our intuition about Ellen's Home was correct and that the care they provided (in conjunction with her insurance case workers) was exceptional. It is a small-ish facility that actually is as home-like as you can be yet still provide the range of support that is needed with a cross section of residents. Although we do not have long term experience to report I have no doubt that if needed we could rely on Ellens' Home and the wonderful staff to make this experience as positive as possible for the resident and family. Their work and care for my mother is greatly appreciated.

I've lived here for 3 years. The staff is friendly and competent. The food is pretty good, all things considered.[Removed], the head-honcho, is just superb: dedicated, friendly, and responsive, and very hard working. The new Chef [Removed] has been doing a great job with improved menus and organization. The cleaning crew is good and honest, I believe. This place is not overly fancy, but also quite affordable. Most of the residents are independent living, but services for those needing more help are available at a price above the base rent. Good choice if you're not looking for supreme luxury and the concomitant high cost.

Mother seems to really like it well there . That means everything to me . Keep up the work .

The whole process went smoothly and all the people we dealt with were helpful, understanding and caring. We felt welcome and found the staff ready to clarify all aspects of this change for our loved one. This openess provided the confindence we needed to accept this transition. Our family feels secure as we adjust to meeting our own needs as well as establishing new relationships with our loved one and each other.Thanks to all involved.

It was very clean. The staff was definitely friendly. Nothing that I can I think of right now that would need to be improved or done better. I never had any complaints about the food. The cleanliness and facility itself and the friendliness especially is why we chose them.
