When I toured this community I didn't get any good vibe at all. It looked dirty and not put together at all. The director was not giving me her full attention she was on her phone back and forth with her son and that wasn't professional. I think my mom would've been ethnically challenged here. They put the assisted living people way down on the list. Needless to say we chose another place.

Mom is doing ok she seems to have settled in here. Mom has made a friend that she sits with at dinner. and she seems to like the food The staff is struggling with my request to keep her up more during the day so she can meet people and do things and then she can sleep at night. Overall the staff is friendly. Housekeeping is ok there is room for improvement

My tour of this community was pretty nice. Everything went well, and the experience was a nice one. The community looked good. From what I saw everything appeared to be well maintained. My tour went well, but this was not the right fit for my parents.

I had a good tour of this community. I toured it for my father, and his needs. The community looked nice, and clean. The staff was kind, and friendly to my family, and myself. Unfortunately this wasn't the right fit for my father, and his needs.

So far it has gone so good. I need a place for my dad in the area for a short time. He is ready to leave the assistance living, they good staff while he was there. After assessing him they were willing and open to take him in for the short time. The person I met with was fine but when your coming in and moving there was not a lot of welcoming. They can have things coordinated.

During my tour of the Foxes Grove, I was not very impressed. It seemed like they did not have anything going on for the residents, they were all just sitting around or in their rooms. The place was not inviting. We wanted s brighter more cheerful place for my aunt, this place was not the right fit.

Bethany is one-half to one-third the cost of other places I learned of in Chicago so had to be my choice unless it were really awful. I chose on the basis of price and my son's viewing, as I was many states away and unable to visit. All things considered, I would have made the same decision though, in fair disclosure, I have not seen any other facility. Pro's: happy people, happy staff who seem to want to please, a hospital that is, literally, attached, some much appreciated green space in the city. Con's: lousy food (it is prepared by the hospital kitchen), limitations of a 1953 building, though well maintained. I cannot speak to care services but there are lots of nursing staff and many students supplementing them and the social worker. Worth your consideration.

Many open community rooms very nice staff clean and inviting. Actual resident rooms outdated but reasonably priced

The staff is friendly and the the facility is clean. They have quite a few games for the activities, but they don't have any outings. They only have outings like twice a month. If your relative needs a lot of care, I wouldn't recommend the Tinley Court Retirement. They were suppose to give my loved one showers and more overall care. Their washing machines were broken for two weeks and we had to bring our loved ones clothes home to wash them.

Very old - needs some TLC and not enough amenities offered

Took the tour. The facility is clean, staff is friendly, residents seem happy. Layout would be confusing to Mom, has 2 buildings connected by hallways. Price is on the high end.

We were promised so much, but they were ripping people off, it's under a whole new staff. the people that told us they would do all of the different things that made us choose it are gone. Sharon at the front desk is always very very nice, she is unbelievable. I have only spoken to the person who is in charge now, once. They are still trying to settle in. It's an older place. It looks a little happier now that they took over. It looks clean on the inside. She doesn't like the food. She didn't have anyone to take her and show her around in the begining she just had to wing it. We know she is safe.

I came here and what I put in her refrigerator a month ago is there now, when I opened the refrigerator the smell knocked me over. I figured over a months time the houskeeping would clean it or check it. So i will be bringing this up with them. The staff is okay, we asked her and she said they were good. She has a lot of clean clothes in the closet, it looks like she has everything she needs. I asked them if they could make her a beauty shop appointment and they did. Shes in some kind of memory program where she sits with ladies and does things, I got a call a couple of days ago saying how much they liked having her there. I've met 2 people that know her personally and the guy who sits at the front desk knows who she is so I think she's getting around.

I took my father in for a tour of this facility on Tuesday, Aug 20th. It is a newer building but the front lobby is very uninviting. It is small and not a lot of gather space for anyone. It did however have one of the nicest two bedroom units we have seen on a corner with views in two directions. It would have had enough room to fit a sitting area and a good sized dining table. The downside was that it did not have laundry in the unit. We also found this one to be the only one that did NOT have restaurant style dining. With walkers and my father having parkinson's, we did not like the buffet style. they indicated that there were people to help with taking the trays to the tables but we did not see that. The fitness area incorporated into the gathering area did not seem to work well either, i think these should be separated. Ultimately this was taken out of consideration do to the dining set up.

Not sure this environment is best for mom. More geared toward independent living. Did not see much activity/interaction among residence on a Saturday afternoon during our visit/

Very nice place...residents seem happy; few amenities. Accepts state aid.

Decent, but Not too impressed; (nicely) tiled floors seemed cold; carpet in apt. halls seemed dirty, dingy; but nice apt with the best flr-ceiling windows; nice kitchen; closets decent; young community; seemed nice people, happy; very catholic; dinner seating at 2 specific times.

New facility. Convenient coming home from work. Not near a hospital.

The environment is not hectic. There is a quietness that may be especially facilitating for retirees who've had multiple years of deadlines to meet at work and bills to pay at home. The first floor has a spacious seating area along with a piano (that really works --- not just a show piece). A water fountain is not far from the piano. It may add a welcome quietude and gentleness to your spirit. Be sure to have a seat or take a leisurely walk in the outdoor garden. There are medical personnel in the building to assist the residents and a hospital is very close by. Security personnel are on duty 24/7. Do make BRC a must see in your search for a congenial retirement community.
