I think people need to understand that these facilities want people to rent their apartments, they are not interested in the appropriateness of the patient. They say that they will be able to care for people and be able to handle their needs, but a lot of times it is not appropriate for what they provide. They really did not evaluation of my mother at all. She had a walker and they put her the furthest away from the dining room and also they never walked with her. She walked in here with a walk and within less than 10 days she was unresponsive to me. She had a huge decline just within a day and no one called to inform me, because they have no one to asses the residents. She had not eaten in 6 days and no one told me that. The only reason they called me was because she fell. They promise a lot of things that they would do and did not carry through with any of them. It is a beautiful place but I would tell others to be very careful. It was a horrible experience. They should have known that my mom was not appropriate for the type of care that they said that they provided. It would be a great place for someone who is more independent and just need a little bit of care, but for those who are more elderly and frail and need more health needs, I would definitely not recommend them. They are more worried about filling the bed rather than caring about the patients needs. Make sure to advocate for your loved one.

We toured Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge and it was a no from the moment that we walked in the door. The urine odor was absolutely awful. We wanted a place that did not have that typical "nursing home" feel to it and we got that immediately here.

Do not go here, do not put your loved one here. This is one of the worst experiences I've had. The biggest issue right now is about a month ago, there was mold growing on the grates of her two air conditioning units - one in the family room and one in the bedroom. I reported it and they blew me off. I had to go over and take photos because they said nothing was wrong with it. When I showed them the photos, then all of sudden they said, "Oh ok we will go up and clean them". They wiped off the grates. Last week my mom had to go to the hospital for something related to her heart. I went over to Inspired Living late Thursday afternoon to get her room ready for her release on Friday. Upon going there, I noticed it hadn't been dusted and it smelled horrible when I walked in the room. My sister turned the air conditioning unit down to 68 when mom was gone because it was always hot and muggy. It reeked like mustiness, so when I started looking around while dusting I bent over to wipe off one of her chests with my microfiber clothes and the entire bottom of the chest had mold on it. When I pulled it off the wall the entire backside of it was covered in mold as well. I went into the bedroom and it was all over her bedroom dresser and her bedside table. Everything in that unit, for a month, had been feeling wet. In fact, it's so bad that there was condensation inside of a plastic container I got her from Publix. Even the kitchen cabinets had mold inside of them. Before I discovered the mold on those surfaces, they told us to buy a dehumidifier and DampRid when they cleaned the grates off. We bought two canisters of DampRid, but did not buy a dehumidifier. I didn't think that was something I needed to invest in, as they should already have properly working air conditioning units. We couldn't bring her back when she was released on Friday, so we had to bring her to our house. They agreed to put her up in this corporate show room that has no kitchen table and no bedside table. It's barely furnished. They've quarantined her room and we can't access any of her belongings. Now she is in a room that's God awful, I mean it looks nice because it's their showroom, but it has none of her belongings. We had to take her cat away, and there's not even a kitchen table, only two chairs. She's been eating meals in her room, but she has to eat them in her lap. I've had to bring things like a TV tray and a lamp because the bedroom is missing those things. She's also at the very end of the hallway which is really far from the elevator, and they're not even helping her. I reported this last week on Thursday and they haven't talked to me about a game plan. We had to go back on Tuesday to ask about it, that's when they told us they had just gotten approval from corporate to hire a mold remediation company. All of her clothes are in there, she also has upholstered furniture alongside a brand new sofa. I'm very concerned about her mattress or if there's mold inside of her furniture. When I spoke to the Executive Director I told her that I wanted to know who was doing the mold remediation and that I needed a copy of the report before I moved her back in that room. She replied and said that she couldn't give me that. I also let her know that I didn't want to move her back in unless the air conditioning unit was replaced. She replied that IF the mold remediation company says it needs to be replaced, then they will; but if not, they won't - as it's up to them. I didn't agree with that, they should replace it regardless. I took her to the doctor yesterday and Inspired Living said they disinfected and cleaned her walker, but upon putting it back inside my car I noticed that the entire bottom side of it was moldy. There's a velvety-Velcro fabric that she can attach things to, and the whole part was moldy. Now I have a [age removed] year old mom who is crying and out of sorts. She just wants to be with her stuff and with her cat. It's been a week now, she's in this temporary room and I don't know when or if she will be able to move back. If that room smells like it did last week, there's no way we will move her back in. Even the temporary room she's in, is hot. It appears that the air conditioning is on and blowing cold air, but when you take a few steps back it's actually blowing hot air. I don't think it's safe and I'm wondering how many more rooms and residents have mold, but they don't have any family who are checking in like I am. I would not recommend Inspired Living at Ocoee. They have a great sales team and they did a great job to sale the place to us. I guess we didn't look beyond that, because if I did, I would have never put her there.

They professional but not friendly. It felt all business, not family type atmosphere. Someone had an elderly dog and we could smell this awful smell when we got off the elevator. It was awful.

The front office staff was great. But the care she got was not acceptable. Her diaper was only changed twice a day and half of her clothes were lost.

My parents have lived at this facility for seven weeks. We have experienced that the facility does not live up to their motto that "we take care of moms and dads". My parents and I have had a negative experience with the executive director and the associate executive director (nursing) revolving around communication of which there have been four issues that have resulted in significant stress for us. I have 25 years of healthcare management experience and I decided to write this review after my dad was not interviewed after I reported that insulin pens were missing from his refrigerator. The resident and family experience and getting what you are paying for is not #1 right now. The marketing events and great move-in specials are smoke and mirrors.

We moved my loved one in and she was attacked twice by 2 different residents in memory care and the staff did not do anything to remedy that. They then messed up her medications. We moved her out within [time frame removed] of moving her in here - it was a terrible experience.

My parents lived at Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch from the time they opened. When they opened we had great hopes for the facility. In the almost 4 years they've been open, they are now on the 9th Executive Director. They even changed Executive Directors during the pandemic. This once again cause loss of key personnel. I've had many issues over the years, including my parents getting stuck for 45 minutes in the elevator during a power outage! Their cleaning crew has never been good but I've found out this week they are horrid now given th pandemic and noone is inside checking on them. After the new ED came in and their best nurse left I started looking at other facilities. I found that they are gouging me on cost. I've been able to cut the costs by about 40%, and the new facility provides a higher level of care. I moved my parents into a brand new full memory care facility with amazing care and attention this week. They are so much happier already. I was not allowed to go in and pack and move them, had to have their named movers do it. When their belongings arrived at the new facility I was called by the Executive Director to tell me their beds were in awful condition, I needed to buy new ones (theirs I had bought 2 years ago but they weren't keeping the mattress pads on it). Also that their clothing was in awful condition, smelling of urine. The furniture was caked in dust. Before the pandemic I went in 2-3 times a week and picked up their apartment, always telling them what wasn't being done. It appears since I haven't been in there they have not done their jobs. Also, in the time that I gave them notice they ran out of one of my dads meds and I had to complain to get them to fill it (I pay for them!). I also found that some other things happened that they should have called me about and never did. I have called the parent company CEO in the past to voice my issues but they were never addressed properly. This place has had ups and downs since they opened with all the turnover, but this is outrageous what is going on now. Don't let the nice pool fool you, your loved ones need much more.

This place was great at the beginning, but as staff turned over and our needs changed, their care became more of an issue. To get you “signed up”, they will lie to you and tell you you can "age in place" but if your loved one is too much trouble, they will ask you to leave...or worse, admit to the hospital so they can deny your loved one re-entry. Staff turnover is very high and not nearly at the ratio it should be for the cost (5k+ a month). There has been 3 executive director changes and 4 health and wellness director changes since we have been there...nice, clean facility but keeping staff is really an issue. many promises and we had high hopes, but the turnover has caused the situation to be such that I can not recommend at all.

My mother and father have been there for many months they have never bathed my mother. My sister had to get to other people to put my mother in the shower. Because she just became accustom to not bathing. The staff pressures my father to get my mother to eat. And now pressuring him to do something about the 'stink.' They are pushing him to give care that he can not possibly provided. He is getting more and more stressed out.
