I was impressed with the facility, the level of training for the staff, and the services offered. The one drawback was the awkward floor plan of the 2 bedroom suite.

Great facility, food, staff and activities. My father-in-law loves it here. He loves going to the men's club that they have.

Very clean, well organized. Would have liked to sample the food atlunchtime but no offer was made to us. We would willingly have paid for the meal but did not feel we should have had to ask. Perhaps a mistake on our part?

The minute I visited Pathfinder, I knew it was the perfect place for our mom's temporary stay. The staff is great, she is receiving the care she needs while still being independent and working toward coming back home. The meals and activities are fantastic too. Pathfinder is just the right size too. Not some huge "take a number" type place. Seems to be the perfect size for all who live there. We are grateful we found them.

I don't have to worry about Mom falling or what she's eating or taking the wrong medication I know that she's well taken care of and I'm always welcome anytime any day

This was the fourth place we have visited. Bingo, this is the place my Mom picked. Great tour, very informative and thorough. We hope to have her moved in a couple of weeks. Thank you Wesley Court and thank you A Place For Mom.

I had a pleasant experience with the tour and lunch. However, this place comes in 3rd place on my list so far. I may repeat this tour to make a better assessment. I like to be fair.

By working in the nursing industry coupled with my mother being in nursing care since the 90's, I have extensive experience with many facilities in the area. In the rated categories and comparable price range, I have not found a location that surpasses Lamar Court. The employees are friendly, happy, and energetic. This translates directly to the residents who display similar attitudes.

At first we were not sure that mom would except Oakley as her new home, but after a short time she loved the meals, the freedom to come and go if she needed to, the activities, and she knew some of the residents for a long time. The medical staff keeps you informed of any issues the resident has and they are caring.

My mother just recently passed away and I could not have picked a better facility for her to be. Since day one everyone showed my mother love and made us feel like family. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great memory care facility.

As my dad's oldest son who helped him choose and move into Morningside of Sterling, I was very pleased and impressed with the competitive pricing, the modern look and overall cleanliness of the facility, the resident oriented amenities, the helpful and friendly staff, and the well structured daily activities that are geared to ensure everyone is provided many diverse activities to lead a full normal life. There were several assisted living facilities in the area but this immediately attracted my dad's attention of a possible new home where he would be happy and comfortable. I loved and was very impressed in how the dining facility is operated like a first class restaurant. Residents come in, sit down, order meals, eat, and get up to leave, the dining facility does everything else. I had an opportunity to sit down with my dad and have a lunchtime meal with several residents who were also WWII Veterans like my dad and thought the food to be tasty, appealling, and filling. The well equipped 24/7 Bistro that was always filled with hot/cold drinks, sandwiches, yogurts, jello, fruit cocktail, cookies, fresh fruit, and ice cream for the enjoyment and comfort of its residents. I feel like this is a true Five Star Facility.

We were very impressed with this facility and the information we received. Not ready yet but will probably pick this assisted living center when ready.

Older community, but very nice. Loved the room sizes for the one bedroom, but more expensive than most others we have toured. Could be a first choice but no decision made yet. Price is a consideration.

There' no place like home, but Eiler Place in Clarinda, Iowa comes close. The staff is very loving and caring.

I've seen firsthand the day in/day out..now I recommend Sycamore Manor to all my loved ones! The residents are so interesting/have so many talents to share..the dining is exquisite..the deco is warm and inviting..clean..safe..Stay busy/Enjoy friendships with ppl of similar interests/backgrounds/..discover new interests with new friends AT Sycamore Manor! Great staff! Perfect size building in the ideal location...beautiful east side close to parks, banks, upscale shopping/dining... Right Size/Right Location/Right Price... With ppl who care....both the staff AND your "neighbors"

I'm not sure what I would have done without the incredible people at Floyd Place. Last Jan. my mom, who has dementia, broke her 2nd hip. The hospital sent her to a rehab center (supposedly for a month) but upon arrival she became extremely combative, physically and verbally. They would not keep her and back to the ER we went. The doctor there asked what my plans were because she couldn't stay at the hospital for more then a night. Did I mention that it was the day after a bad blizzard, with treacherous roads and I had the flu? The next day, at my wit's end, I texted [name removed], the director. He, [name removed] the nurse and [name removed] were at the hospital in an hour. They spoke to the hospital personnel and to my mom. They had her furniture moved into a charming little apartment the next day and Mom the following day. Now almost a year later, I can confidently say there is not a better place for Mom. It is a small facility with a wonderful small town atmosphere. The building is bright and cheerful. The meals are delicious. There are daily activities to keep the residents involved. But most importantly, the staff members are kind and caring, and truly seem to enjoy their jobs. Mom was fiercely independent, a weeee bit of a complainer, and scared to death of going to an "old folks home", Now she only has glowing things to say about Floyd Place. I believe I toured all the assisted living homes in Sioux City. If you are struggling with this difficult decision, please be sure to look at Floyd Place.

Definitely liked this place - bustling with people assisting residents. All floors were active with people who could help if a resident needed assistance. Facility was updated and very clean. The director has been with the same group of communities for 7 years and was very helpful.
