We were able to have an in person tour with The Princeton and [name removed] wanted to go to Princeton but at the time, they told us there were 12 folks ahead of her. We actually enjoyed the community and tour experience, everyone was so nice and helpful and answered all our questions.

Mallard Point is the best kept secret for independent senior living in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area. While touring the retirement community with our loved one, she immediately said Mallard Point was the place for her. It was a great sense of relief for her and our family knowing she is in a safe, secure environment surrounded by friendly, kind, and compassionate retirees. The entire Mallard Point team consisting of administration, recreation, maintenance, transportation, food service, and housekeeping has been personal, professional, and top-notch. Knowing our loved one has three balanced meals daily, scheduled recreational activities, weekly housekeeping services, and transportation for shopping and appointments has left her happy and pleased with her decision about moving to Mallard Point. Being matched with an ambassador (aka – welcoming committee) put her mind at ease since she was the new kid on the block. Ambassadors took her under their wing the first few weeks with respect and

We are writing about our almost 4 year experience with our loved one at the Hudson Grande. He has had only the very best of care from the staff, who are wonderful. They knew him and took care of him as if he was their own. The facility was warm, friendly and extremely clean, which is a huge plus. We are so very thankful we stopped into the facility when we did. We were blessed to have it and so was our loved one, now no longer with us.

While my mother was moved to Kentridge Senior Living, there was a stomach virus developing in the facility. My mother was kept in her room 24/7 with only the nurse passing meds and meals brought to her. She was too weak to feed herself and could not go to the bathroom by herself. She would call me at my home and I'd have to call Kentridge to get help to her. They were understaffed and couldn't go in and visit her for a few minutes. I feel that if they had more staff they could have taken better care of her (her call button didn't work while she was there). I would only recommend this facility if they had more staff. The dining room and menus looked great and so did the games/activities. Bad thing is, my mother didn't get to use anything.

We picked this community for numerous things...first the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to residents. The facility is warm and welcoming. The apartments are very nice. The sales staff were not typical "sales staff". They were very informative and cared about helping us make a good decision that would be in my mom's best interest not just make the sale.

We toured The Boulevard Senior Living of Wentzville when searching for an Assisted Living facility for my mother. We had a great tour! This facility was very clean. Everyone here was friendly and nice.

The staff--from the executive director, to the admissions counselor, to the nursing staff--all are awesome communicators and immediately responsive to questions/concerns we had while transitioning my brother from a SNF to assisted living. I feel confident in the care my brother is receiving, as staff check on him several times a day. Carriage Court is immaculately maintained. It feels like an upscale hotel, with its large always-burning fireplace in the lobby/gathering space. The dining room is open pretty much all day and has a generous menu on each table from which residents may pick and choose. My brother is extremely fond of his morning omelet. There's also a snack bar and a constant supply of hot coffee in the snack area. There are Happy Hours at which special food treats are served; these serve as a nice social time for residents to come together. I know there are lots of entertainment and recreational opportunities available..The reception desk staff are very welcoming and seem to know all the residents by name. There's one gentleman who works the desk that is particularly kind. The maintenance person, [name removed], has been extremely helpful in making sure that my brother is comfortable in his room, and stops just to chat with him at breakfast. Everyone's so personable! Especially key to insuring that everything is top-notch care-wise is [name removed] on the nursing staff. I just get such a warm feeling from the people at Carriage Court. They make it feel like home, all the way down to the rocking chairs on the porch.

Our loved one likes it there and the staff members are super friendly. What we really like most about the community is the ability for our loved one to have her care there which is a huge plus. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Holiday Montvale Estates to other families.

Staff is great, food is wonderful. Activities seem engaging and of course it costs too much, but is a good value. She really appreciates the kindness and attention as well as very good food. For me, I am grateful for the security. I certainly do recommend it.

Our loved one has not passed, but our family was very impressed wit the University Senior Living community. The serenity of the design, the cat, the genial and the understanding of the staff was something we really appreciated.

I would tell others looking that if their loved one gets to the point where they need 2 aides at a time for dressing, bathing, or changing diapers, the cost can increase substantially. The chef is available for "catering". We celebrated my mom's birthday right at the facility, which made things a lot easier on us. I would most definitely recommend The Kentridge Senior Living.

The food is top-notch at The Parkway Senior Living. It would have been a deal breaker for my dad, had it not been. The staff is friendly. We had some issues with move in -no cable box and hook up for 6 days. I had to go get a box myself at XFINITY. Why didn't they? Communication between them was rough at first. Now things are better. The place is nice and clean. He likes how he can have his meals any time between 7-7:00. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

We picked this community, because my mom liked the new, fresh, clean environment. Nice, simple decorating. I would recommend The Madison

The memory care team does an amazing job helping their residents feel loved, valued and useful. Staff helps female residents do their hair, makeup and nails trying to allow them to maintain the routine they used to have. They insure that they have on clean clothing. Everything the staff does is done with the mindset of preserving the dignity of their residents. They treat them as members of their own family.

CedarStone is a great place for a loved one. The staff are very caring. They make my family and friends feel very welcomed. And the food is great too!

The staff that I have dealt with at Vitalia Rockside are very kind and helpful. The housekeeping is great and they're always on schedule for apartment cleanings. The food is okay, but some of it is too spicy and some of the sauces are too fancy for older people. They make the food that corporate approves, but should go more with recommendations from the people who live there. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

My husband and I both love Hudson Grande. My very difficult mother in law who lives at HG is happy there... Which is a miracle in itself!! She finds the staff kind and competent. And she feels well cared for and above all very safe. I highly recommend HG. We visited many assisted living facilities in the region, met with staff, tasted food and observed senior activities. HG made the top of our list very quickly. We settled on HG because of the kindness of their staff, the care provided around the clock, the cleanliness of the place, and the quality of their meals. The staff really seem to take their jobs very seriously. It feels an attribute hard to find these days. Also, whenever we visit my mother in law, the staff remember our names... Wow. But above all that, my mother in law is very happy at HG, and she's a very difficult woman to satisfy. Thank you Hudson Grande for caring about your work and putting your tenants first!

We came to Carriage Court in desperate need of a place for my mother to rest and recover after a series of events that left her increasingly weak and disoriented. She had had a stroke, and while in "rehab" -- which was NOT a pleasant experience for anyone -- she came down with COVID. Her ability to speak had already been affected by the stroke. COVID left her unable to walk. Carriage Court opened their doors to my mom when most places told us us no. And though she didn't stay there long -- the Lord called her home after only a couple of months -- the staff did everything they could to make her comfortable and give her what she needed. And in those last few days with mom, the outpouring of support and kindness from all the staff -- from management to kitchen staff -- was humbling. Good, kind hearts live and work at Carriage Court. I am grateful for our time there.

I think their heart is in the right place they were just understaffed, did not follow thru on their care promise on the weekend which we paid for, did not follow up on all the promises of getting mom out and about with others, did not take her to the dining room again due to staffing shortages. I found this very irritating because 1, I paid for this level of care and of they had told me they couldn't support this need I could have done it. In fairness we were only there 1 week. Mom got out of the hospital and due to care of her legs she got cellulitis. Mom was of sound mind, her and I both asked the NP to get her on Amoxicillin while they waited for the cultures which is the only way to keep her out of the hospital. they refused which led to her getting very ill and ending up in the hospital. Also because they were not doing any care on the weekend no one there realized she was sick until I came to visit her. they would bring her meals and take her last meal even though you could see she wasn't eating. had she been healthier or we had stayed longer I might have had a better experience. Bottom line, where ever you move your parents for assistance go check on them multiple times a day. The sales staff was great. the facilities and food were great. They appear to be committed. Before signing up check staffing, talk to other residents that need similar care or ask to talk to other families of those residents. Check on you loved one frequently. especially on weekends.

We toured The Boulevard of St. Charles during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. This facility was great, so was the staff. However, the resident rooms were too small for us. Otherwise, everything was great!
