True Connection Communities

I toured this community for my mother. and her needs. My tour was decent, but I do think this community needs some updating overall. In the room that they showed, the kitchen needed updating. Overall I felt the community as a whole needs some renovating.

Parc Pace is an ok facility. I'm not pleased because the one main reason we moved my loved one in here is because they promised they would be able to transport her top dialysis. After signing the lease, they then changed the story saying they cannot do that. So we were lied to big time and I'm not satisfied. This caused us to have to pay even more money on top of the $2,400 for her to get the care she needed.

Visited this place before. Apartments are cut up the detached houses are find if you want to be detached from the main building.

Too much like a nursing home.

The complex itself was fine but we were completely mislead by the sales pitch regarding their "Right at Home" healthcare services. They told us that our parents could "age in place" and they could handle anything from independent living to Hospice. Once they moved in we were told they were not medical personnel and there was only so much they could do. They were rarely on schedule with their visits and at one point showed up when we told them that we would be out at the doctor and told my mother that she would have to pay extra. We moved my father out after one week and my mother finished the month there and we moved her out. I was told by other residents that they felt mislead as well regarding how good the care would be. I would not recommend for anyone who can't fully take care of themselves.

There's a new management company coming in and it may end up I can no longer afford to live here.

The place is very nice . New facilities but the social aspect has a lot to be desired. If ur a man forget going to the activities. No one shows up! They have to cancel. The men that are there are cliquey, my father was introduced to them when he visited and they didn’t even talk to him when they ate. He tried to get a card game going, nobodyI responded. Sometimes someone will join him in the exercise room. I convinced him to move there as he was sitting in his house doing nothing. Here he does a little bit more than nothing. Have to pay more money for him to join the community center in the area so he doesn’t spend the whole day watching tv

Their security deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE, so you are out [Amount Removed] whenever you leave.

I was having lunch with a family member, if you could call it that, and had one of the worst experiences. First, the food tasted like it was all processed, and fried in dirty oil. While our waiter([name removed]) was amazing, a waitress for a neighboring table was beyond disrespectful. I was so shocked listening to [name removed] welcome the table with “what do you want”, “you can read the menu can’t you”(when asked for the special), just no tact. And the kicker was when I went to use the restroom next to the dining room, I was assaulted with the putrid stench of shit. I’m assuming it came from the locked stall, with no one in it, something is not right. I have been in porta potties cleaner that smelled better than there. I’m only giving 5 stars for activities, cause I know my grandma loves [name removed] and [name removed] , and says [name removed] is the best thing ever.

Verena at Leander misrepresents the facility and is marketed in an untrue fashion. The Verena I signed a contract with a year ago is far from the Verena of today. Amenities that they freely market may or may not happen, communication from Corporate to Staff to Residents is lacking in many areas, the building has been neglected and there is constant issues with water, and now mold. For those who need transportation to/from appointments have to use Uber or a family member due to poor management of scheduling. Verena advertises as an Independent Senior Living facility, yet more and more dependent/memory care residents are being brought in. Beware, it’s not what is being presented!

This place stinks! Pay for the every thing you want to do plus walk outdoors during inclement weather to get a meal or enjoy the company of other residents. I would rather be back in prison in than live here! This was the worst mistake I ever made. I'm surprised that you didn't charge me for every time I flushed the toilet. Are you aware that by calling this a senior living facility, you are held to a higher standard. Can't wait for my lease to be finished!!

I would not recommend Preston Place. While it is a lovely property, the management is terrible. They need a new manager; someone who respects the residents and other employees. The current manager creates an uncomfortable and unsafe environment.

I toured with Verena at Delray and it was scary, it looked so bad. They needed MAJOR renovations done, it was horrific. The staff were all super nice during the tour though.

This community is newer and well kept but, VERY BORING. They have continued to over promise and under deliver. The transportation provided is limited or none at all, group activities are sporadic at best and the staff turnover continues to surge. The food offering of a continental breakfast and semi-hot lunch is bland, boring and repetitive. Upper Management continues to promise more activities, more transportation and better quality food but nothing ever happens. Do not let the pretty hallways skew your vision of unhappy residents who are very bored and leaving as soon as possible. Look elsewhere for a fun place to put mom/dad- activities are what they need in the golden years.

This was not a good experience for us. There were no outings for the residents. There is only one day for transportation to doctor appointments. The food was horrible. The communication with the staff was horrible as well. The cleanliness of the community and this staff knew more about the going ons than others. They had a shortage of staff.

Beware: Skye has totally fallen apart in the last year. Major construction is always going on due to poor maintenance and construction. Leaks everywhere, especially in apartments. Trash cans are overflowing constantly, and stink. MOLD growth has occurred multiple times in my unit due to various drips and leaks, and I've had some breathing issues. Two major outbreaks of COVID occurred because they wouldn't enforce safety protocols. Now they say they have partnerships with medical facilities, but it isn't true. Everyone knows some of our residents used their connections to get us our shots because our Executive Director, [name removed], couldn't get it done on her own. You had one job! Activities all but stopped. Room cleaning has been greatly reduced. The LAST dinner service is at 5pm - if you like to eat later forget it. People are moving out in droves, and [name removed] could care less as it's all about the bottom line with her. I'm so upset I moved here but I'll be gone as soon as my lease expires.

My relative is living at the Villas it says it is a smoke free facility but it is not 3 apartments on her floor have smoking resistants in them n you can smell smoke in the hall alll the time. The management treats the residents like they are dumb old people and the food is unexceptional if you complain they treat you like you have no brain but the food is awful. We are going to move my relative from this bad situation!!!!

This is not for us. You have to walk outside to reach the meals and events. Entrances are outside. Apartment Living - not senior living.

My family is unhappy with The Phoenix. My mother had a stroke the day I was moving her things into the apartment with movers. She had further setbacks in the hospital, and now and will need 24/7 care for the rest of her life. The Phoenix refuses to return the community fee, even though my mother never was able to live there, stating that it's nonrefundable. We offered to pay per diem for the days her belongings were there before movers could remove them. We've been told by the Regional Director of four local communities in our area, the Sales Director for another, and a placement specialist in senior communities that this is wrong, and that the money should be refunded in full- that they all would in the same circumstance. We were told by The Phoenix that a gentleman had changed his mind after moving some belongings into the apartment before my mother. So, The Phoenix has his $3,125 community fee, my mother's and the next persons..By the time the next person actually lives there they'll have $9,375 in community fees for one apartment, then rent. Our mother had a STROKE, to refuse to return her money, citing a signed lease is WRONG.
